    One thing I saw was Rowan having to take his head away from the buttstock when bolting the action of his No.4, wondering if he sized his length of pull to the rifle. I am so big I tend to need a recoil pad for the correct length of pull, No.4 butts were sized to the soldier so they could run the action better for those who were unaware. There is a page on it in Shoot To Live 1945 a Canadian Army Musketry Manual which you can find online if you search it...

    ipsc with a lever action looks cool! out of curiousity, can you quad load a marlin 1894?

    • @dsar9489
      @dsar9489  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, the design does not allow for that kind of go fast reloads. Also holding 38spl/357mag rounds in the manner would be incredibly hard and unreliable to say the least. They're just too small.

    • @decahex5142
      @decahex5142 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dsar9489 ah, ok then. Out of curiosity, what was the largest number of rounds needed to complete a stage in a match like this?

    • @dsar9489
      @dsar9489  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It varies as IPSC is never the same comp twice. But average about 100ish rifle comps and about 300+ for pistol comps. Each stage can only have a max scoring shot number of 32 but they’re not all 32 long courses. Variety is the name of the game

    • @dsar9489

      Yes they do, but like pistol there is minor and major power factor.
      For example, if I used 38 special I would not meet power factor but for 357magnum I scrape in - Dylan

    • @rcspoon1
      @rcspoon1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dsar9489 is rifle minor not 150? 38sp out of a 18 inch barrel would be around there. 158gr at a 1000fps is easily obtainable out of a long barrel.
