I just never get tired of listening to his stories. What a treasure Popcorn was. I’m sorry that he chose to end his life, but I’m sure he’s storytelling in Heaven.
Hello everyone I’m from Leeds England and have recently become a huge fan of Popcorn..I was really sad when I searched him up and found out about his tragic death..Really sad 😔 ❤
He was one of a kind him and aunt letha use to make likker together,, and I went to see popcorn every year with my friend Tommy packet, he was a good kind hearted man
@@dickJohnsonpeter no I think it was before the documentary but I’m unsure I just know they told him they’d take him to prison if they caught him again and he had been jailed for it before so he didn’t want to die in prison an old man and knew they were on his tail at taking him in.
"Well I guess that's it" perfect way to wrap these up. On another note (not intending to advertise on here) for anyone still eager for anything Tennessee moonshine related and I may be stating the obvious here but if any of yall haven't heard of the old Tennessee Slicker Leroy Troy or the great Lester Armistead there's a short but amazing album with each song being a story about moonshining in Cannon County Tennessee by their band The Tennessee Mafia Jug Band called "Tales From Short Mountain" th-cam.com/video/0hnp36q5whI/w-d-xo.html
I just hope the ones who profited from robbing him of life and everything else over whiskey I'm sure they destroyed lol. But maybe bad things will come to them also.

God bless
It was said he had the best and I'm curious as to who snitched him out the dirty bastard
Nice. 😎😎
I wish I'd met the old guy
62 was way too young to go. With him being a moonshiner it was part tradition and part religion.
He was older than that
Sure aged him but he was older than 62
@@bprathe3205 Popcorn was 62 at the time of his death back in 2009
Wish I could have met this old fart he seems like family to me through your videos r.i.p pop....
