I dropped the 3w from my bag 18 months ago and I haven't missed it. I am just more accurate with a 5w, it launches easier and TBH if I have 230+ yards to the green I will score a lot better if I just accept that I need 2 shots to hit the green not 1.
Even pro's struggle with finding a 3 wood. I carried a three wood but was hardly ever using it, so dropped it. I've got a TM 19* hybrid that I can hit 215+ yards, anything more than that it's either a par 5 that i should play as a 3 shot hole or a par 4 after a poor tee shot.
I understand that offset is not for everyone, but I love it. Gives me much more confidence. Ever since I picked up a golf club, offset has appealed to me and worked better. Had an old King Cobra that was my first one. I game the B21 3 wood...
Good video, Andy! I think the B21 3-wood is really much more of a game improvement club than the B21 driver is: the B21 fairway woods are designed to get the ball up (waaaaay up) and have a lot of offset for the slicer. The B21 driver is not actually offset. The face is ever so slightly closed at address, but the draw bias stuff is all in the internal weighting. A lot of reviewers have had your experience with that driver: they expected it to hook but found themselves just hitting really straight, long shots! I think if a real slicer hit that driver they wouldn't get much help in the way of curve "correction."
@3:05 ... totally agreed, that's why It's gonna take a LOT to have me change my Cobra F8 to any non-adjustable 3-wood. I find that being able to go from 13 to 16 degrees depending on the condition helps my game A LOT (sometime I game a 3 wood, sometimes a 4-wood, with only one club bought). Also, hard to beat the baffler tech.
I gave up on my Ping G400 3-wood (14.5 degrees) and went to my son’s Callaway Epic 5-wood (18.0 degrees). I didn’t have any problem w/ the Ping 3-wood off the tee...but from the fairway and rough I struggled w/ consistency. Feel much more comfortable w/ the Callaway 5-wood...and I haven’t given up much difference vs. Ping 3-wood. Enjoy your club reviews...all the best 😎🍀
Very nice looking club but the offset would not work for me. My speed with 3Wood is from 118-120 mph with ball speed between 167-170mph. With that amount of offset I would pull the ball deep left and off of the planet. I use the SiM 2 Ti which sits open at address and helps prevent the dreaded hook.
I had B21 irons - hit ok but too chunky so switched to Apex DCB - love them! For driver, woods (3&7) & hybrids I use Ping G425 you reviewed & super easy to hit well & straight. B21 woods don’t interest me as look ugly & will date pretty quickly
I got this last autumn. Tried other Callaway woods but the B21 came out best. Off the deck it flies and has given me so much more confidence on long par 5s 👍
I'd like to see these compared with the Ping G425 Max fairway woods. I just put the Ping 3-Wood & 5-Wood in the bag and I'm stunned at how easy they are to hit/launch. Prior to getting these I had just about figured I was not a guy who could hit fairway woods reliably. With the Pings I can now actually get on in two on Par 5's. Not something I could do with the old fairway woods.
I game a Mizuno ST180 3 wood lofted down to 14* for tee shot on over half of the par 4&5 on our course. My fairway metal is a Cobra 5-6 lofted to 18.5*
Played the B21 3 wood. I felt I lost distance with it and I truly had problems with the offset look. Sold it. I absolutely love my B21 driver though! To me, it does not have the offset the 3 wood has. It is a bomber!
I purchased the Callaway B21 3 wood I mostly use it off the fairways sits low and wide gives you confidence have to change the set up as you say about the offset.
I recently brought the driver having used a ts2 for the past few years. Had no confidence in the ts2 despite having lessons just couldn't stop the slice.....the driver has literally changed my game as I'm not hitting it left for the first time in my life!
Would like to see Compared to ping 425 ? A lot of people say that’s the easiest to launch ect and it’s less closed in a 3 or 5 wood and ping has adjustment
The low profile reminds me of the old Tight Lies fairway woods. Like others have mentioned, it would be interesting to see a comparison between the B21's and the G425's. Enjoyed the video.
Im not keen on the triangular shape. My own set up (and i know this wont be popular) but i play a TM sldr mini driver which i love. Not the easiest to hit from the fairway however.
Still don't get it why offset is not pleasing to the eye. Of course if setup is different and difficult and it becomes a hook then it doesn't work for you. But if it finds intended targets... then who cares. Great club. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻😉
I love the comments on clubs perceived to have offset or sit closed. 80% of these comments are about the evils of offset and closed faces and how they send the ball right. And yet 80% of golfers miss to the right. Including Andy. I'm a consistent drawer (good days) and hooker (bad days) but it takes just a few swing to adjust to closed/offset faces.
The B21 series is their game improvement line, so why wouldn't they have a draw bias or offset. Most people looking for such clubs slice the ball as you indicated, so it should help them.
I've recently switched to a 4 wood. Easier to launch off the deck and easier to control off the tee. Can hit it out of rough easier. Driver, 4 wood, 7 wood top of my bag.
I am playing the B21 hybrid . . . a. very steady performer. Tried the B21 driver but settled on Titleist TSi2. I have learned that getting past looks in favour of performance is the only way - a sweetly struck ball arcing down the fairway is pretty enough for me 😉
I have the driver,,fantastic,3 wood is so easy to hit add love it so impressive so I bought the 7 wood and that is like cheating ,well done callaway ,great work mr average, keeping up ⛳️👍
I'm guessing the type of Golfer this is aimed at isn't going to be too fussed if they can shape it either way, they just want to keep it in play! Me included! If it does that, then it has to be a 👍🏻
I have a Titleist 3 wood that I use off the tee guite regularly and get a good distance but don't use on the fairway. On the fairway I use my TM 5 wood get a better launch and better accuracy than the 3.
Hi John, sorry you feel the need to make contact like this rather than via an email. We have sent numerous emails to you advising the stock issue with this product and offered you alternatives or a refund to which we have had no response. Please contact hannahaveragegolfer@gmail.com
Yep. That's what loft sleeves do. They don't change the loft, they change the face angle which changes the effective loft. Lower the loft and open the face. Raise the loft and close it. Andy did a cool shaft length test. I'd love to see him to an adapter test.
The problem I see, with you hitting it and others will do the same, is that you know that offset is NOT RIGHT, so in your mind, you are adjusting your swing to keep that closed face more open. So my question is, why the heck bother with a club that is not square as it should be???? Nobody will put their normal swing on it, so that offset serves no purpose.

I'm exactly the same way...but I use a Ping G20 4 wood. Goes about 210ish.

I just recently bought this 3 wood and love it. My 2 cents on it next Tuesday. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I had made a 3-4 wood, 7 wood and my lovely 9 wood that drops on the green and hops once. Love them!

Had the B21 5 wood. Great looking club but ended up changing to the Epic max because it went to far left.
I game a Mizuno ST180 3 wood lofted down to 14* for tee shot on over half of the par 4&5 on our course. My fairway metal is a Cobra 5-6 lofted to 18.5*

I swing an older Cobra offset driver, I don't even notice it anymore!!
I purchased the Callaway B21 3 wood I mostly use it off the fairways sits low and wide gives you confidence have to change the set up as you say about the offset.

Had one but it went too left. Changed it for PXG gen 4 gorgeous!
Great video, I went driver, 4 hybrid 5 to SW all B21, custom made. Regret not getting 3 wood now.
Would like to see Compared to ping 425 ? A lot of people say that’s the easiest to launch ect and it’s less closed in a 3 or 5 wood and ping has adjustment
I have Ping G425 3 & 7 wood & they are very easy to hit & fly amazingly - I’m a double stroke survivor with weaker swing but get 200+ out of my 3 wood
The low profile reminds me of the old Tight Lies fairway woods. Like others have mentioned, it would be interesting to see a comparison between the B21's and the G425's. Enjoyed the video.
Greatvideo how often are you down at foregolf as thinking of a visit

Callaway b21 or Ping G425 for high handicap golfers ?
I've recently switched to a 4 wood. Easier to launch off the deck and easier to control off the tee. Can hit it out of rough easier. Driver, 4 wood, 7 wood top of my bag.

get the 12.5 degree b21, change to an extra 2 degrees...u then have an oversized 3 wood....I've been hammering this 3 wood 320 yards
Big hit that mate😂
I'm guessing the type of Golfer this is aimed at isn't going to be too fussed if they can shape it either way, they just want to keep it in play! Me included! If it does that, then it has to be a 👍🏻
So true... just got this one and love it already. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I've never looked at a Driver or Fairway wood that had a closed face for more time than it took to slide it back in the rack.
I have a Titleist 3 wood that I use off the tee guite regularly and get a good distance but don't use on the fairway. On the fairway I use my TM 5 wood get a better launch and better accuracy than the 3.
I have tried various 3 woods and never got on with them so,, driver and 5 wood is my set.
I love my Callaway s2 hot fairway metals
I ORDERED A GOLF CAP IN APRIL IT HAS STILL NOT ARRIVED IF YOU ARE THINKING OF ORDERING MERCHANDISE I WOULD BE VERY WARY INDEED.

I got a Heaven wood and 7 wood. Got my 3, 5 and 3 hybrid out of my bag.
Wanted to have a ago but was told that the B21 has been withdrawn
Been looking at this cheers for the vid
I've just purchased this one and my 2 cents are .. it's great. Vid out on this next Tuesday. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Can’t you just open it up with the loft sleeve

Think I would have a problem with it at address
