If you're ever throwing out a gas range (or, see one on the side of the road), don't forget to keep the grates! They make excellent trivets for large pans (like for a holiday buffet) as well as plant risers to help with drainage. They even come in handy for some painting projects!
Can you show how to clean baking sheets, I find they always just build up with grease and it’s so hard to get it off no matter how much I scrub them, but your food goes on it so I don’t want to use any harsh chemicals. I usually just end up throwing them away and buying new ones cause I can’t figure out how to get them looking new again
Idk if you've made a video for this, but you can clean burnt on electric stove pans (the ones that go under the coil) by boiling them in water with baking soda and dishwasher powder for as long as it takes for the black stuff to come off easily. Probably 1c soda to 10 cups water?
I need to do this for my camp stove. We have no running water(we have to bring jugs) so I guess wipe them with paper towel and then wipe with a wet rag?
I have cast iron with the rubber feet, maybe just salt 🤷♀️ that's what I'm trying next. I've been just scrubbing them down, and a little dawn but that's it so far.
@batmanpancake96 thank you for the reply! I will have to try salt. I do spray them down with dawn powerwash as well but still find myself scrubbing until my arms go numb. 😆
I do that with pots that have food burnt onto the bottom. (It happens to everyone.). Just spray the inside, and then turn them over upside down in a tub, preferably the bathroom where I can turn on the fan and not really smell the cleaner, and then it just pretty much rinses out.

Especially any newish ones, they have a great finish
I'm doing this. Thank you 😊.

Wow!!! I never thought to put them in a bag. What a great idea
Do the same with oven racks
I wait for a sunny day spray the grates down and close very tightly and set in the sun on sidewalk. Somehow the sun works amazing
I agree! I never thought about this idea but I am definitely going to try!! 😊
Yess!! I requested this video 😊. Thank you!
Are you from Wisconsin? I caught a bit of an accent from my home state. ❤
Brandon's got the hacks for cleaning everything! 😁
Yes he does and I'm loving it 😊
My grates need a good cleaning thanks for sharing. You are truly a "CLEANING PROFESSIONAL "😊
What oven cleaner do you use? This tip is so helpful!!
Zeps oven and grill cleaner
@@CleanThatUp thank you!!
@@CleanThatUp what about EasyOff?
Does it smell though or no? I don't have like a backyard or a well-ventilated kitchen. I need to clean the grates though

Bar keepers Friend will do it!
Some of the ceramic grates and ceramic gas rings are okay to clean in a self cleaning oven. Just make sure they don’t have the rubber feet on them.
Love this! 🩷🩷🩷
Thank you soooo much!!!! I hate scrubbing these things but this method looks great!
Awesome! 😊 thanks!

What if it has rust?
You have really taught me a lot! And I keep my house clean but amazed that I didn't know most of the hacks you have shown
What oven cleaner did you use
What oven cleaner did you get for those grates? Mine are all sticky and can’t get it off
Just did this trick with my oven racks! Happy to see that this was on my feed and confirmed what I thought was my bright idea hahaha
You can also soak them in ammonia overnight 😊
Yessss I need to do this for my clients

That method takes forever though, but less odors I guess
Do you just throw away the bag and the oven cleaner after cleaning? Where should I dispose it?
i gotta try this. Any particular brand of oven cleaner?
Best thing is to rinse them off outside with a garden hose. That way all that grease won't clog your pipes.
Not everyone has a backyard
Perfect
That’s genius!! Thanks that would definitely be a lot less messier too !!
Which oven cleaner do you suggest? I really struggle with these grates!
What oven cleaner are you using?
Would you recommend the spray Grill cleaner from Members Mark to do this job?
What about the oven racks? Same thing?
What can we use as an alternative to oven cleaner?
Whats the brand of the cleaner. ?
Which spray does he use?

Could you do that with oven grills too?
Can I use the same cleaning method with my electric oven coils?
After a brought a scouring stick lol. Im gonna give this a try.
Wow.. he knows 😊
I ALSO use easy off to clean old pots & pans and my metal sinks. Spray it on let it sit and rinse away 🍸
genius 😊

I think the easy off might work for us too!
Why put them in a bag??
