Joe - just wanted to say because of you, I was able to install vinyl plank on my entire second floor with zero transitions. Your videos were the #1 resource on TH-cam regarding this matter. You should feel really proud and happy that you're able to help DIYers like me! Thanks again.
Finished my daughters entire apartment with Vinyl plank….never done any flooring before….Killed it thanks to your awesome suite of videos!! Wanted to thank you very much for your selfless sharing of skills, wish there were more like you on TH-cam. If anyone is thinking of taking on a flooring project…watch Joe’s videos then get to it! Great simple explanations, guide to tools and equipment….brilliant. Can’t thank you enough!
Joe! Im very handy and When I was 18 I worked carpentry for 10yrs now I’m 36 now I’m in the auto industry and I just brought my first home with my wife🙏🏽 ( New Jersey native here) I’m starting to lay down engineered flooring and I have to say I stumbled upon your video and I was amazed you have the best flooring videos on TH-cam. Period.. and my first video of you I watched, when you closed out with a blessing from God! I subscribed immediately. You sir are legendary! Thank you and god bless you and your family 🙏🏽. 👍🏽
Hey Joe, I as well sir. Thanks to you, I installed my entire house flawlessly. You saved me $3,500 in installation fee's, plus the satisfaction of my wife and I installing. Thanks Joe
@@marcin8418my home is 1450 Sq. I bought the material for about 4200$ not including trim or tools. (I have all tools needed) the installation fee was 2.50 a square foot.
I’m in the middle of installing vinyl plank now! Would not have had the confidence without your videos! Thank you! And thank you for your prayers for all of us.
I cannot recommend laminate university highly enough for anyone getting ready to tackle a diy plank install. joe takes the time to walk you through the tough parts and his input is worth every penny!!!!!!!!
Hey Joe, Started my first Laminate floor installation yesterday for a customer and this video has already helped me a lot. God is good, always and always God is good. Bless you, your family and your business
Man I think I have only left 2 or 3 comments on a video since I started using 16 years ago lol. Let me tell you your videos are the most detailed, easy to follow, amazing tips, and so many more positive things to point out... I subscribed 2 days ago to your channel and I am now applying what I have learned from your videos.. Which BTW are so much better than those tik tok 5 second tips.. You are the real deal. Thank you Chief, God bless you
I didn't drop by your page by chance!! Multiple blessings!! Thank you for being a vessel and doing your part to build the Kingdom! GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS AWESOME GIFT OF WORKING WITH YOUR HANDS!
Joe, I just finished Laying 340 Sq ft of wood laminate in my master bedroom. I couldn't have done it without using some of the pointers you have given in your videos. I want to say thank you for your videos and keep it up. I have about 360 sq ft left to lay in 3 more rooms and it should be a breeze now.
Hey, so that's how you do it, I've been watching your videos for a long time now, and decided to give it a try i took on 565ft. Vinyl planks ran it from my family room though the bedroom and into a closet ace it with some small mistakes but I can learn from that, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR VIDEOS, not to mention I did it solo.
I am getting ready to install Vinyl Plank flooring next month through an entire house 1400 sq feet. Your video's have been very beneficial to give me the confidence to do a good job. Thank you.
I've done framing, remodeling Krogers and walmart's. But I was honestly nervous about this cause I'm about to start my mother in laws home. I know I have to the tools and skills but due to injury been out of the game for a small bit of time. Enough to worry me then I watch this and it all come back thank you! I am learning so much!
Just finished my lvp install and thanks to your expert tips and tricks it went very well. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Thank you! I did want to add one thing when using the permanent marker to mark your cut lines, if you have to remove the marker from the plank do it as soon as possible. It isn't so easy to remove after the marker has been on the plank for a while.
Watch a lot of TH-cam but seldom comment unless it really helps me. Your video was very good I watched several of them. I first installed vinyl plank back in 2005. Wish I had seen your vids then. So much easier after watching your videos. Thanks for all your tips
Joe, your videos were a huge help in me laying laminate flooring on most of the upstairs of my house. I had laid some before but your tips and tricks were a big time saver and helped in those tricky areas where you have to lay backward etc. You’re the man! I hope you’re doing well man.
This one is in depth, love it. Just finished my floor, I can tell its not perfectly straight but no one else can haha. Wish I would have seen the line snap video first. I had no Hallways though. I look at every laminate floor now differently and I notice a lot are really crooked. Cheater bar and planing changed the game for me.
Can you clarify what you mean around the 6:30 mark when you say work away from the groove with the tongue facing the wall you’re working away from. Both times you said “groove” you pointed to the tongue side of the board. Thanks!
The more of your videos that I watch inspires me more and more each time to getting this vinyl flooring job done on my own without having to pay someone else to do it for me. A few weeks left before my project takes place only if it’s in God’s plans for me and my family to get the house we are looking to buy.
Joe dude love your dedication and the passing it in I this cutthroat business , I’m old school 40 years contractors in Cali fukin love the way you want to educate the new flooring generation!!!
Wow, I learned a lot from your instructions here. I've installed a few floors now, and have struggled (aka looks like an amateur job) with door jams and similar transitions. Thanks so much for your instructions, they were very clear and super helpful. Next time I'll see if I can make my job look like yours. Also, killer ending! God bless you brother, see you heaven!
Like the videos. I own a flooring company and was considering getting into social media and doing some videos so I’ve been watching yours to see how you do it.
Thank you for the invaluable information. Installing the floor is tough work but with your help, I successfully installed my floor and I am so happy with it😁
Jesus is good all the time. Been a carpenter for 32 years. Just checking you out. A good Christian is always on their knees. Little humor there. You are good at what we do. I remember when that floor it the market. Pergo 1992. Glue and strap. Glue and strap.
I did my living room and family room today! Your method really made it easy. My brother in laws were like “dude use a tape measure and I just did this and they was confused but it worked lol.
It looks like you call the side where the locking mechanism sticks out, the 'groove' and you call the 'slot' the tongue. I've always called them the opposite. Am I correct in understanding that you call the piece that sticks out and goes into the adjoining plank, the 'groove'? I've always understood that the 'tongue' sticks out and the 'groove' is a recessed slot that the 'tongue' fits into. Perhaps my eyes were deceiving me in the video at the 18:40 mark?
Heck yeah brother! This recommendation was a week too late, I did my first flooring last week but I will definitely be adding the cheat block method to my repertoire! Great information! I need to be taught like I’m 5 and only when I feel like I’m a master knowledge wise do I feel confident doing something. Your video was great and earned my sub 💪
You should consider starting a patrion, so that we can swing some cash your way. It's the least we could do, with the amount of money you're helping us to save. God bless you mate. Wishing you and your family nothing but the best.

Thanks for showing the instalation under the baseboard heaters. My question is how do you keep the LVP from separating under the baseboard heaters.
