Those signs on the R32 originally had a regular hand crank dial. But because people would play with the dials and change the signs (including me) when the MTA refurbished those trains they replaced the dial with a vandal proof design.
NYCT had a yard sale last week. Their asset recovery team has items like these in stock, though the rollsigns have been a bit scarce. Funny thing is, the original KK/K was blue via 6 Avenue. I plan on doing a video of that sign once I unearth my other signs.
