5:15 Banana chair! Very nice 80s house with strong Florida vibes, let's see if other builds justify the price. So far I'd be willing to pay $75-80 for this.
thank you for helping the cancer research charity. I work as a donation processor for the charity so thank so much from me and the world wide team here at cancer research. we have many Lego fans in the team and we loved your stream!! :)
I know the feeling after building a couple of Friends sets that are just PACKED and STACKED with features...then you see this one and all that comes to mind is "Bare Bones".
The depth of the house is surprising, which I only noticed thanks to your good camera angles, and didnt see it in other reviews. I was disappointed with the back being open but yeah it's bigger than those regular facade houses. So I might get this mainly for the parts (but also the nice build) especially if it goes on sale.
This looks really nice. The deep floors and some solid walls make it look much better. It would be nice to extend the house and have more solid walls to have it camera friendly all the way around.
This set feels like it is heavy on form over function which is quite fitting for a modern architectural house. The price does seem high, i guess Lego really values the ability to do multiple builds and that must be born out in the sales.
This one reminds me a lot of Family House (31012). I loved that set as a kid, because it was just this big, modern house. It’s nice to see Lego doing that again.
I'm glad we just have a house with some room. It does have the back way open, but it works. It is a pain to position minifigures without harming the entire connection parts, which does make it unstable in that regard. I can't wait to try to other builds if i have the time
This style of minimalist looking but modern house is actually something seen in the UK now which is interesting because there usually buit in the same area as more traditional housing and they contrast each other like opposites.
I like this set more now I've seen your review, the only weak part for me is those trees. But everything else is nice, even the figures are surprislingly good. Great review Jang!
This feels like a Malibu beach house, and they live just up the road from Andrea’s Modern Mansion (Andrea earns a lot more money than this couple of mini figures does). The confusion over whether the door to the patio area is the front door or not can be explained by this being a water-FRONT home, where the front of the house faces the beach. The back of the house, which faces the road, would have a driveway and main entrance. So yes, that little door near the sun lounges is indeed the front door.
Overall it looks nice but I'm not a fan of the weird placement of the doors. The upstairs bathroom also feels kinda weird to me with the open counter leading to the shower, and of course, no toilet. The front yard feels a bit cramped with the shoreline and I would have preferred if the pier led directly to the door instead of having to walk around the side corner of the house to get into the kitchen from outside
Normally I’m definitely not the fan of most of the houses that they release but this one looks really good, with a driveway and a nice garage, and of course place it on a baseplate. it would be perfect.
I was undecided if we would buy this set but your review pushed us over the line. We will definitely buy it and possibly buy 2 to put a closed back on it
This looks really good. I like the style throughout. Feels a little pricey to me too. I used to buy the 3-in-1 sets on discount and get 2-3 of them to make larger builds out of them. Maybe this'll be another good candidate for that.
Those palm trees are strange but I get that they were planning to use those pieces for alt builds. It still amazes me how people design 3in1 sets. That takes skill.
It might have been nice if the roof was easily removable, but at least we actually get a real roof with a building set. A more complete look for buildings makes them look nicer and easier to add more to have it look good on all sides.
I'd like to live in a house like that =D . As for the price, it seems like a lot of Lego sets these days have a lot of their parts (= cost) in the base design, which is especially annoying as you don't really see that stuff.
Hi Jang, I would like to know, what you do with all the (many) sets that you have reviewed. Do you keep all of them or do you give/sell some of them away? Keep up the good work! Greetings from Belgium!
Hmm, I'm kind not as fond of this design compared to the Cosy House set. I think it's the overall colour scheme, the Cosy House looks a lot more charming to me. I like the detailing in this set though, and there's quite a number of larger pieces like the window frames and panels, a lot of larger plate pieces, which explains the price of this as it's a lot larger overall with more usable spaces. That said, agreed that it still feels a bit much here. To the point where you can almost get two Cosy House sets.
My problem is they went and called it a family home, but then gave us only 2 minifigures with it. There should have been maybe a kid or two, and definitely a dog or cat mould.
I think it's best it doesn't have the modularity. Too many sacrifices are made to the quality of the interior spaces and overall build to get it broken up into moveable chunks that just look out of place once relocated.
Yeah it's a widely accepted, outdated term. "Mid-century modern" design kind of spans the late 40s to very early 70s, though I think the "modern design" era really first took hold between WWI & WWII.
being right up on the very shore of the beach doesn't make a lot of sense to me... I'm more inclined to believe they just have a pond out front or something, and maybe the beach is a short walk away.
When you realise you have to buy two it is not a good feeling, even worse when the price would be $200. Alpine Lodge 10325 is the same price and a similar open back style but you get 500 extra pieces and a light brick, plus the set looks so much better than this set. When they knock off 30 or 40 they can take my cash because it looks like you would be raiding your own brick stash finding tiles for the floor and roof plus minifigures and some plant pieces that would cost 20 so you can finish the set.
It's only 130p more than last year's Creator house 31139, which sits at 808p. However, this one costs $40 more 😧 I don't think buying this one would be justified for someone that already has 31139. Cozy House is still being produced, so if someone doesn't have it yet, that would be a much smarter purchase IMO. This 2024 house is an easy pass for me, unless I see it heavily discounted.
The flood insurance must be really expensive 😆
Lol
I was just thinking the same thing
This is cool. An actual, large, house. Not too expensive. Nice when LEGO does this sort of thing.
He said “a nice study area” and I instantly assumed he meant a area with a lot of studs hahaha
5:15 Banana chair!
Very nice 80s house with strong Florida vibes, let's see if other builds justify the price. So far I'd be willing to pay $75-80 for this.
Some warm coffee, a nice toast and a new Jang review.... Sundays dont get any better than this
This is so real
I feel ya, many Sunday mornings include coffee and a Jang video 😊
thank you for helping the cancer research charity. I work as a donation processor for the charity so thank so much from me and the world wide team here at cancer research. we have many Lego fans in the team and we loved your stream!! :)
It's interesting that this style of architecture was created with La Villa Savoye, which is like 30 minute from where I live at walking speed.
I know the feeling after building a couple of Friends sets that are just PACKED and STACKED with features...then you see this one and all that comes to mind is "Bare Bones".
One day, I'd like to see LEGO bring back those fully built houses like from the Creator line. Those were the best. Though I will need this set.
I like the Studee, study, where you can study, studs
This set feels like it is heavy on form over function which is quite fitting for a modern architectural house. The price does seem high, i guess Lego really values the ability to do multiple builds and that must be born out in the sales.
I thought modernism valued functional efficiency over form?
Bricklink was a great buy on Lego's part, for instance, all these 3 in 1 sets attract a second buy to finish them off.
This one reminds me a lot of Family House (31012). I loved that set as a kid, because it was just this big, modern house. It’s nice to see Lego doing that again.
I dig the Miami Vice vibes of this set, but I'd find it a lot more impressive if the recent Friends Mansion didn't exist!
I like the new background Jang! Also, the build for those beach chairs is awesome.
I'm glad we just have a house with some room. It does have the back way open, but it works. It is a pain to position minifigures without harming the entire connection parts, which does make it unstable in that regard. I can't wait to try to other builds if i have the time
no toilet though
You're right by the sea 😂😂
Sweet! Another great independent review. Def my fav channel !
4:20 i think it also could be a safe? i know it makes no sense but for some reason my brain makes the connection there. Amazing video as always Jang
I feel this shows it from the back. As it's a minimalist apartment it would likely lead to the beach. The front would have a garage.
I love the look of this set!
I'm also jealous of Lego minifigs living in a much nicer home than me. 🤣
I literally looked for a review of this set on the channel a couple hours ago lol.
Nice 3 in 1 modern house looks fun colourfull build congratulations on charity great review jang 👍
This style of minimalist looking but modern house is actually something seen in the UK now which is interesting because there usually buit in the same area as more traditional housing and they contrast each other like opposites.
Looks better than i thought
Love that funky chair from the ‘60s or ‘70s! This set looks like a good source of plates, maybe that drives up the price a little.
Those trees look like they inspired by a Sonic the Hedgehog game.
This house is awesome to be honest. I’m kinda surprised there’s no toilet
I like this set more now I've seen your review, the only weak part for me is those trees. But everything else is nice, even the figures are surprislingly good. Great review Jang!
They definitely could have included some swimsuited figures
I like zoom being used in the summary at the end of the video / review!
This feels like a Malibu beach house, and they live just up the road from Andrea’s Modern Mansion (Andrea earns a lot more money than this couple of mini figures does).

The back of the house, which faces the road, would have a driveway and main entrance. So yes, that little door near the sun lounges is indeed the front door.
I think this is gonna be a harder sell coming off the heels of the Noodle Shop and the Cozy House, which were both less than $70USD.

That looks more like a 70s house than a modern house because all that wood.👌🏻
Yeah "modern" in design doesn't mean today 😄 It's counterintuitive, but Google for a refresher; the term itself is old.
This looks really good. I like the style throughout. Feels a little pricey to me too. I used to buy the 3-in-1 sets on discount and get 2-3 of them to make larger builds out of them. Maybe this'll be another good candidate for that.
Looks like something out of Pulp fiction, love it
Those palm trees are strange but I get that they were planning to use those pieces for alt builds. It still amazes me how people design 3in1 sets. That takes skill.
I bought it and built it, it is magnificent. ❤ Watched your review though 😂 Thanks a lot. 🎉
It might have been nice if the roof was easily removable, but at least we actually get a real roof with a building set.
A more complete look for buildings makes them look nicer and easier to add more to have it look good on all sides.
I like to think that's a gun safe next to the bed.
The house has more books than the modular book store 😂
Gentrification station! It has the panels and everything.
Was hoping you were going to get this. Definitely a better buy than many other sets coming out imo
I'd like to live in a house like that =D . As for the price, it seems like a lot of Lego sets these days have a lot of their parts (= cost) in the base design, which is especially annoying as you don't really see that stuff.
this set has so much personality i love it.
Looks like a 80's vibe! I love it!
I feel like if you but 2 and mirror the outer design while changing the interior it could almost be a complete house
It's a great looking house. Would look good with a side garage and a car.
Beautiful. It's a real doll house. I really like the interior.
I'd bet that alam clock is either a bedside phone for a safe
Love this - this is just my style
kinda wish they made more sets either og modern (think usonian) or more contemporary stuff like japandi and neo/eco brutalism
You didn't draw any attention to it, but is that a huge sliding glass door by the pool? That looks awesome
Feels like such a mature design / build
Cool design!
I feel like there's something missing in this set, not just a minifig or 2, but maybe a car as well, but it's interesting enough.
Oh hey, so this is where people that can afford Lego live.
Great review! Thanks.
In all honesty a really solid set for the 3 in 1 line. It’s one of the first sets from the line I’m desperate to pick up in years.
i think its great. we need more actual structures and buildings, and creator is THE theme to give it to us
I like the design of the house and some of the different items included, and colorings. $100 is a bit much, not too bad.
For a lego creators this set is absolutely the best
I love it. I want to move in
Sick tats Jang! :P
That HISS tank Megatron in the background is intresting to me. Are you a fan of those brands too Jang?
i don’t even collect city structures but this looks really fantastic
Hi Jang, I would like to know, what you do with all the (many) sets that you have reviewed. Do you keep all of them or do you give/sell some of them away? Keep up the good work! Greetings from Belgium!
I like it, Darth Vader shall live here in my lego room
This could be used to built a Malibu Iron Man Mansion MOC
For Creator the price to part ratio feels a bit off, I agree.
Modern house but an old-school Lego model.
Finally, affordable housing
I think it's great that lego is catering their sets to the only people who can still afford to buy them.
So getting this!
Looks like an 80s house on the Santa Monica shore.
Does the living room have a sliding glass door?
Beautiful!🎉🎉🎉
Hmm, I'm kind not as fond of this design compared to the Cosy House set. I think it's the overall colour scheme, the Cosy House looks a lot more charming to me.

The set looks really good 👍
Is it a sliding door beneath?
I like it. Switch macaw with classic mold and you won't even guess it's Creator. : >
It looks like an 70s or 80s house not sure how "modern" that is?
Yeah it's a widely accepted, outdated term. "Mid-century modern" design kind of spans the late 40s to very early 70s, though I think the "modern design" era really first took hold between WWI & WWII.
I think ‘contemporary’ is now the favoured term used to describe current, post-modernist architecture.
A very Brady Bunch-esque interior...
Needs a crocodile in the back yard lol 😅
I feel like Lego designs with the intent of enticing adults to purchase two copies of sets for their city. Also two copies of trains.
This is actually pretty cool, I would want like 2 to build Tony Starks Malibu mansion 😎
being right up on the very shore of the beach doesn't make a lot of sense to me... I'm more inclined to believe they just have a pond out front or something, and maybe the beach is a short walk away.
"Modern half house"
Looks dope
Does anyone know how big it is in inches for length and height?
When you realise you have to buy two it is not a good feeling, even worse when the price would be $200. Alpine Lodge 10325 is the same price and a similar open back style but you get 500 extra pieces and a light brick, plus the set looks so much better than this set. This is just a City set with alt builds
It's only 130p more than last year's Creator house 31139, which sits at 808p. However, this one costs $40 more 😧 I don't think buying this one would be justified for someone that already has 31139.
