About 2 weeks later we got a package in the mail with the missing sticker sheet, a free figure, an apology, and a $5 coupon off a $10 plus set (granted this was years ago so not sure if they are still so generous).
Earlier this year I accidentally dropped a set that I was building and a part broke when it hit the ground. I went on their website and explained to them that I had broken a part but that it was entirely my fault. They sent me a new part without asking any questions. That's a fair point, but it's why LEGO prints a suggested age on the box. 4+ sets are always made up of larger bricks and use less parts, if you want to avoid lots of 1x plates that's usually all you have to look for.
Actually I did found a broken lego piece in my brand new model. As soon as I opened the package and began to built it, I've discovered that one crucial piece (which in fact was the base of the structure) was broken. So I immediately I returned the package to the store. They were a bit annoying but in the end agreed to exchange it for another one. The new one was fine and complete.

There are so many people out there who do not know the size of things ! I have a friend who bought a fridge on Amazon for £40. She thought it was an under counter full size fridge but when it arrived, it was only big enough to hold 6 cans of pop (soda) ! And she never thought to send it back !
“It’s not lego’s fault” i’m pretty sure most of these people that are giving legitimate bad reviews aren’t blaming lego. They know it’s not their fault, that’s why they’re writing the review on Amazon, the place they bought it from.
I got told off by a commenter on Amazon because I'd put a review of a film on: "You've reviewed the film, you're not supposed to do that. You should only review the disc itself, the packaging and delivery". I was tempted to reply "The disc was round, the packaging was flat and the delivery happened".
looking the video, looking up lego prices, looking the video again....start to cry....99$ is nothing near an expensive Set....there are SW Sets, Technic, Creator expert, up to 400$ ...
Here is the story ( fan made ) I work at the postal service with my friend in Nevada , our budget is small but we are talking about the entitled parent ( Karen ) . So the thing started when I was with my friend ( driving a van ) to deliver packages and notes in Las Vegas when we arrived at a home , I go deliver the package while my friend was in the van , I ring the bell and the entitled parent came and gave me the money , and then I gave her the package and left , well you thought it is over ?? Well no the next day my phone rings and this is how the conversation went : Ea= entitled parent M= me Ea : hello, can I talk to you about the product you gave me M: well yes Ea : well this Lego set is broken , why would you give it to me broken I knew he did not know it was a set that needed to be build . M: um , its just you need to buil-( but I get cut off) Ea: do you understand that is broken ??? M: but- Ea: shut up , I want a new one M: but that was the only one we had Ea: but I want a set that is not broken M: but we don't have another one Ea : just give me another one for gods sake At this point I am done with this and said M: would you like a refund ??? Ea: yes When I arrive at the house , I rang the bell and the Ea opens the door with the set in the other had M: well here is your money . And this Ea though I would give her double the price ( the price is 3,000$) Ea: where is the rest of my money M well that's all of them Ea: how dare you scam me M: this was the price of the set Ea: that's it I will call the police if you don't give me the rest of the money M: no , that was the price of that set Ea: well , you're in trouble A few minutes pas and the police officers arrive . Po- police officer Po: what is the problem? Ea: he is trying to scam me . Po: is that true ? M: no , the official price was 3,000$ Ea: no he's lying , he is giving me half the price Po: can I see the set on the website Ea: well fine Then the officer checks the website to see that is 3,000$ and not 6,000$ Po: well looks like M is correct Ea: fine its 3,000$ The I give the 3,000$ and I get the Lego set , I drive to the postal service and I give the set to an amazon employee after I called my manager , I never saw Ea or her kid again If you saw any mistake , let me know .

The guy that complained that box was too big for the content had a point. This is especially true for many Star Wars sets. They make the boxes bigger to appear that the set inside is larger than in reality. It is the same trick as with potato chips - bags are filled with air to appear more full.
Potato chip bags are full of nitrogen and not air, this is to preserve the product and flavor better. Also they're only half full (or less) of chips to protect them from getting crushed into small pieces during shipping and handling. Otherwise yes, many manufacturers of different goods, package their things in larger boxes than neccesarily, just to make it seem better and more expensive and thus make it easier for them to take a higher price for the product.
Potato chips or crisps as we say in the UK are filled with gas to both keep them fresh and cushion them when not opened. The boxes are big to both allow the plastic bags to be packed quickly, and also marketing
Immediately after the crushed dinosaur set I got a geico ad where the world's strongest man crushes cardboard boxes. I think Google's trying to tell me something
The fact this man knows the proper plural of Lego, means he’s a certified Lego lover. Seriously, I grew up with these things, and I was brainwashed by my parents to call multiple pieces ‘legos’, and it upsets me to an unreasonable extent. The fact like 98 percent of the Lego fan population get this wrong doesn’t help either.
YES. I only really hear Americans use the term "Legos" as the plural, whereas here in the UK I haven't heard anything but "Lego". I agree it's very frustrating that even Lego fans can't get it right 🤦🏼♀️ Reading the comments on this very video, most commenters have still used the term "Legos" for the plural lmao, despite having watched the video 🤐🤯
I sold a set of Legos on Ebay. The buyer complained that my apparently terrible job packing the set caused the package to be damaged. The package was already damaged and was noted in the description and could be seen in the pictures. They said they had to open the package and check to make sure "the fragile pieces weren't broken". Must be nice to have never stepped on a Lego before. 😂

12:10 this has happened to me once, with a Lego train set but when I looked at the instructions, it was some kind of duplo set. And the Lego bri- *puzzles* were different shapes, but literally the same colour as the instruction said. Of course, I did put a review of 3 stars because I love Lego, and do not want to look like a Karen that hates Lego. So we applied for a refund, and then we got the correct set.

That's a fair point, but it's why LEGO prints a suggested age on the box. 4+ sets are always made up of larger bricks and use less parts, if you want to avoid lots of 1x plates that's usually all you have to look for.
The "Lego's came broken" review made me laugh hysterically XDD

Actually I did found a broken lego piece in my brand new model. As soon as I opened the package and began to built it, I've discovered that one crucial piece (which in fact was the base of the structure) was broken. So I immediately I returned the package to the store. They were a bit annoying but in the end agreed to exchange it for another one. The new one was fine and complete.

I have once seen a review for a very simple Lego set complaining about how hard it was to construct. As someone who knows that instruction manuals exist, and has been building complicated Lego sets since I was 5, it is hilarious to think about.

It's almost like reviewing water bad, because it's wet.
“It’s not lego’s fault” i’m pretty sure most of these people that are giving legitimate bad reviews aren’t blaming lego. They know it’s not their fault, that’s why they’re writing the review on Amazon, the place they bought it from.
😷🍑
That's true
But then Lego is the one who looks bad
i dont think thats the case actually, for instance, why would someone think its amazon's fault that the lego set has a lot of small parts?
I got told off by a commenter on Amazon because I'd put a review of a film on:
"You've reviewed the film, you're not supposed to do that. You should only review the disc itself, the packaging and delivery".
I was tempted to reply "The disc was round, the packaging was flat and the delivery happened".

Karen: My sons Lego set was broken when he opened it-
Me: YOU NEED TO STOP TALKING
Here is the story ( fan made )
I work at the postal service with my friend in Nevada , our budget is small but we are talking about the entitled parent ( Karen ) .
Well no the next day my phone rings and this is how the conversation went :
Ea= entitled parent
M= me
Ea : hello, can I talk to you about the product you gave me
M: well yes
Ea : well this Lego set is broken , why would you give it to me broken
I knew he did not know it was a set that needed to be build .
M: um , its just you need to buil-( but I get cut off)
Ea: do you understand that is broken ???
M: but-
Ea: shut up , I want a new one
M: but that was the only one we had
Ea: but I want a set that is not broken
M: but we don't have another one
Ea : just give me another one for gods sake
At this point I am done with this and said
M: would you like a refund ???
Ea: yes
When I arrive at the house , I rang the bell and the Ea opens the door with the set in the other had
M: well here is your money .
And this Ea though I would give her double the price ( the price is 3,000$)
Ea: where is the rest of my money
M well that's all of them
Ea: how dare you scam me
M: this was the price of the set
Ea: that's it I will call the police if you don't give me the rest of the money
M: no , that was the price of that set
Ea: well , you're in trouble
A few minutes pas and the police officers arrive .
Po- police officer
Po: what is the problem?
Ea: he is trying to scam me .
Po: is that true ?
M: no , the official price was 3,000$
Ea: no he's lying , he is giving me half the price
Po: can I see the set on the website
Ea: well fine
Then the officer checks the website to see that is 3,000$ and not 6,000$
Po: well looks like M is correct
Ea: fine its 3,000$
The I give the 3,000$ and I get the Lego set , I drive to the postal service and I give the set to an amazon employee after I called my manager , I never saw Ea or her kid again
If you saw any mistake , let me know .

The "Lego was broken" reminds me a lot of a dialog in an episode of ALF, where Willie gives Alf a jigsaw puzzle to entertain him :

9:00 if you lose the instruction manual, any Lego set can become a puzzle! :D
The guy that complained that box was too big for the content had a point. This is especially true for many Star Wars sets. They make the boxes bigger to appear that the set inside is larger than in reality. It is the same trick as with potato chips - bags are filled with air to appear more full.
For those kinds of sets you are right - but the brick box is meant to be a storage container for your unused parts and thus has to be oversized…
Potato chips arent the same it is nitrogen which makes it fresh so see my point
Food theory also covered chip bags
Potato chip bags are full of nitrogen and not air, this is to preserve the product and flavor better. Also they're only half full (or less) of chips to protect them from getting crushed into small pieces during shipping and handling.
Otherwise yes, many manufacturers of different goods, package their things in larger boxes than neccesarily, just to make it seem better and more expensive and thus make it easier for them to take a higher price for the product.
Or:
I alway HATED having to break my models to fit them back in the box. Extra space let’s you put it back in without destroying your hard work!
Potato chips or crisps as we say in the UK are filled with gas to both keep them fresh and cushion them when not opened.
The boxes are big to both allow the plastic bags to be packed quickly, and also marketing
