Any ideas why Google home, for my Google home mini can't find my outlets? It's all on my 2g network, not 5g. App works fine, but Google home isn't seeing the outlets. Thanks

I wouldn't connect to PC, Xbox or PS4 because someone can turn off the plug off with echo which corrupts data if you're playing or downloading something.
@@TampaTecTampatec oh I see I how one day one company would do that I hear they make some for monitors I forgot the name of the brick strip ones it is called Kasa smart wifi plug by tp-link my friend uses that for his monitors though.

There is a couple Smart Life Apps in the store(Smart Life & Smart Life+ for example) that look like they can do the same thing, even though created by different ppl?. Wondering as to whether or not you tried both of these Apps out, or b/c of the device you bought & are reviewing.....you MUST use the Smart Life App. Could any App that uses WiFi on a 2.4GHz band work with this power strip? Just curious. Thanks for the vids you create for us.....hope to see some more electronic repair vids(my fav: TVs, Consoles, PCs, DVD BlueRay Players, etc....)😉

I got this from Pinlo. That uses the Jinvoo app. And it worked for a few months and now it just does not connect to the wi-Fi. So basically it it’s junk now.

It will remember the last setting you used.
What happens during a power outage and it regains power? My Z-Wave bulbs all turn back on at 100% which make thunderstorms at night annoying. Does it remember the last setting being off or does everything have power when you unplug it from the wall and plug it back in?

I am curious about this as well. I know all my SmartLife plugs will default to on when power is restored. I assume it mimics a behavior if the plug was attached to a wall switch controlled outlet by turning on when it is powered on.
Disadvantage is that there is no physical swtich for each individual socket

No, it will only cut the power and provide power. It also needs the boot sequence initiated like a PC. This will not boot it for you.

@@shubhamrizal2320 as long as its something with an actual on off switch that you can leave on like lights thats exactly what you can do. I even use mine to turn my tv off while im at work so if i use my ps4 in remote play it doesn't turn on.

Hey Tamp, Do you think Amazon Echo is cool having it around? I have no problem with it myself since I don't care about my privacy, but I'm worried about American people since they're the real victims.
I did research, I feel that if a hacker really wants your info they will hack your phone first since it's always near the owner, has mic and cam built in, also has apps with personal info. Echo and Google home is just a speaker with mic usually in a living room and echo beeps when mic is listening.
