    I reach for mine all the time. Doing all my speed sessions, but they are light and soft I’ll happily do the easy longer runs too.

    Thanks for the update. I agree with you that this will be a great parkrun shoe. Also casual in hot weather.

    I bought 4 pairs of these. They’ve been that good for me and will likely buy more as they go on sale. Hard to remember a shoe that’s been this much fun and I believe has also protected me from injuries that I might have sustained in a less flexible option. These have been wonderful.

    I like the fuelcell foam. Bought the v2 just for casual wear since they are so bouncy, cushioned, and comfortable for daily wear.

    Agree, Fordy. With Rebel V1 and V2, we knew what they were: lightweight, non-carbon speed day shoes. With Rebel V3, New Balance has blurred the lines with their general daily trainers like the Beacon 3. In fact, the Fuelcell Propel 3 is nearly identical to the Rebel 3! New Balance had something that was universally hailed in the Rebels prior to this iteration...I bought as many V1 and V2s as I could, and now have moved on in my search. Thank for your reviews.

    I just got the Rebel3 and put in a 4x12min/3min workout. Really liked the feel and pace was good.
    I agree with comments about using the Speed or other shoes. I have taken the philosophy to run in a variety of shoes, so the feet get different feels.
    Basically, I do 7 runs a week and do them in 6 different shoes. Crazy, right?

    Rebel 2s upper fell apart on me - big holes down the instep! Good to know theyve improved it in the 3s 👍

    Yeah, I wouldn't say this one is in my regular rotation but I like having it around for the occasional short distance strides and sprints and maybe fast 5K runs. I tried to use this at the gym and for playing racquetball and it didn't work out good for that. Too soft and bouncy on the court when I need to make quick turns and stops constantly. This is meant for running short and fast in a fairly straight line or on the tracks. I like it but it's a specialty or niche shoe.
    I sized up to US 8.5 from my usual 8 based on the reviews and that worked out fine. It's kind of ridiculous people have to size up for certain models and size down for other models from the same company. Had to size down on the 1080v12 and go with True to Size on the SC Trainer but wide. I'm going to give More V4 another try after returning it the first time I tried it. Still not sure what size I should go with but probably down.

      Yep it’s ok to have but not a go to shoe

  • @benjaminkuch2558
    @benjaminkuch2558 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The way you describe this shoe it should be a great shoe for athletic training: light and fast, but still decent cushioning. If you're not a distance runner (as basically all the shoe reviewers are) you usually don't do any longer runs, but lots of short and fast stuff including sprints, jumps and more. I am probably going to give these a try when my current pair (Adios 6) is worn out.

    • @FordyRuns
      @FordyRuns  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not really a distance runner I’m just a dude running

    • @benjaminkuch2558
      @benjaminkuch2558 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FordyRuns that's a nice way to see it because it shows that you can run without competition having to be the main priority. I just wanted to point out that athletics/track&field training might be suited for this shoe, because you usually just need one light and fast but still comfortable pair of running shoes (and possibly multiple pairs of spikes). Have a nice day and enjoy your run!

    Thanks for the great shoe review, really like the Rebel v2 I’m still doing some kms in them at 500k I ran 4 marathons in the rebel v2 3 of the marathons I got pbs, so can’t decide on the Rebel v3 or the novablast, because the Rebel is so comfortable & great on recovery runs as well, most likely get the Rebel v3 just can’t find any in nz yet, cheers✅👏😂🌿🍀👣👍🏼🥳

    Le falta que el talón de mediasuela tenga un poco mas de dureza para proporcionar mas reactividad y que no cómprima en dinamico tanto,dándole mas estabilidad y sea menos exigente con tobillos y soleo.

    I have the V2 but I find them to soft for walking and I get stones hurting my feet on gravel bits of the road. Is the added stack and different outsole (harder ❓) reduce the ground feel (pain) ❓

    New Balance make some great shoes, but their sizing is a mess! I had to go down half a size in the 1080 v12, and still have more than a thumbs width up front, which is more than I have in my regular (running shoe) sized RC Elite 2.

    • @FordyRuns
      @FordyRuns  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolute mess 🤦‍♂️🤣

    • @eoincasey5461
      @eoincasey5461 ปีที่แล้ว

      Their sizing isn’t a mess, the problem is you guys still use UK sizing. If you know your EU size and use the EU sizing they are spot on every time.

    • @theghostofpcs2391
      @theghostofpcs2391 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@eoincasey5461 I'm used to EU sizing, for my running shoes I usually wear 40,5. I wear 40 in the 1080 and 40,5 in the RC Elite v2.

    • @yanman53
      @yanman53 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      in the V2 I went half a size up from tts (US sizing) and it worked pretty well for me length wise - if you have access probably good to try it in person just in case!
