My 2010 Prius has 268 000 miles on it. Always starts, even at -13 degrees Fahrenheit. No odd sounds, no warning lights. The king of reliability.
268k wow that’s almost impossible. My 2010 started burning oil at 110k which eventually lead to the catalytic converter going bad at 178k😞

@@smoothvelvetsinger mine was built in japan so I would think everything is the same with the exception of which side the stealing wheel is on. The 2010s are known for burning oil. I’m happy yours doesn’t🙂
@@Pianistp3 If you do 10k miles interval/1 year, any Toyota will eventually burn oil, clogged EGR, blown head gasket and kill catalytic converter. 5k miles oil change interval/6 months is the first step to any car that you want to keep more than 150k miles.
How long did your hybrid battery last? When did you notice it started to weaken ? Thanks

You can pay a little more for a prius with way more less miles and same year. Price is right but miles are too high
Price is too high my friend... lol the price would be around 2-4k for that mileage. Nothing less and nothing more.
In 2019 my 2013 Prius with 90k on the clock was worth about $9k, now, 3 years and 35k miles later, it’s worth about $14k due to chip shortage and the massive spike on gas prices. Considering this, $8k for this car is very optimistic but I wouldn’t be shocked if it sold for that. For $5k I bet it would sell within a week. You gotta assume it needs either a head gasket of battery, possibly both in short order.
For 300,000 miles it looks clean. Just my opinion i wouldnt pay more than 2000 perhaps

I bought a Lexus 460L with every possible option. Reclining rear seats, air purifier, self parking (still works)....over 200k miles. That was over 3 years ago. Smoother than my Audi A8L with massaging seats.

Way too much money for pretty aesthetics in a 300k Mile engine / transmission. Didn't run any diagnostics or even show the battery usage / consumption. When was the battery changed and does it come with a warranty that's transferable? What's the service like, show some receipts for it's upkeep like oil changes and servicing. Most Prius give problems around 150k-200k that require minor fixes. If your selling it at $7500 then it's probably sold at $2-3000 from the owner or owners?

Regardless of mileage you’ll still blow the head gasket eventually, Happens to every single one over 200k miles
Saw a Tahoe today with 500k miles for sale, apparently with no issues, no service lights etc
Also saw a suburban with 409 also today

It might already be dead. Battery replacement is $4-5k alone. And then you still have an old car with tons of electric equipment that can go wrong any minute. High voltage transformer unit costs even more than battery lol. It's a nightmare to replace. And car will be dead without it.
