Hey Fritz, consider giving 245/40/18's a shot for your next set of tires. It'll take a little more camber, but they look super meaty on my 18x8.5+35's, and drive as good as they look. My speedo actually reads perfect with GPS, since it's programmed from the factory to read fast due to regulations, and the extra sidewall helps with peace of mind when I'm driving cross-country.
i did a 18x9 et32 front and et42 rear wrap w 255/35/18 square.. but need massive camber.. 3.5 front 2.2 rear.. but oh well i track my car so its alright
I was able to run Apex Ec7s wrapped in Nitto N555g2 245 35 18s 8.5 et 35s on front. 275 40 18 9.5 et 58 and 5mm spacer. KWV2 suspension and F8x LCA and TS. so yea you definitely know what you are talking about.
Will I be fine with stock ride height, 18 inch, 35 offset, and 10mm spacers all around? I recently got the spacers for my stock wheels, but now Im putting on new rims.
Competently stock and no rolled fenders 245/35/19 MPS4S ET35 8.5" front and 265/35/19 ET48 9" rears. Fronts are slightly stretched compared to the rears. No rubs whatever and on adaptive stock suspension. Wheels are BBS CI-R and no spacers
About 1mph difference. The abs goes crazy when i lock the fronts that are melting 😅Yeah going R275/35/19 9.5J ET48 on my next tire change and 255 at the front to replace the 245s. Really want to get 265 at the front but the offset must be perfect. Maybe the rear wheels that I'm going to take off are 9J ET48 and i need something between ET31-33 and add a 15-17mm spacer. Going to need to modify the plastic wheel liner and move the screws it's mounted on upwards to give the wheel a bit more space. Just a thought 265 at the front and 275 at the rear definitely doable if you have good imagination and make it work properly.
Man, I’ve been trying to figure out my wheel gap situation and this video just gave me so much progress towards a solution I’ve had this problem for almost a year. If anyone wants to help. I have the 384 (Y spoke) and the front gap isn’t frustrating to look at with 12mm spacers (225/40/18) but the rear gap is frustrating with the same tire size and 15mm spacer. Do you think I could run a 255/35/18? Or should I get 245/35/18? tia.
How low can i go with the 18 inch setup without rub? Would 1 inch front 1.5 inch rear drop be alright? I have Xdrive so theres only 1 option really for lowering springs
will 18x8 offset30 with 225/40/18 square setup work with my m240i 2018 being on stock suspension without any uneven wear or rubbing, ??? will that size look good on the rear?
@frits Ramos. Im switching to an all 4 > 8j set but Not staggard Is it possible to add 225/ 40 R18 to the front & 245/35 R18 to the rear at the same time ?
Just ordered custom 19inch alloys for my M240i before watching this video. I’m not interested in lowering the car so what would the recommended tyre configuration be for 19inch wheels? Pls help
Hey I just wanted post here because I'm looking to get new rims and I've never bought them before. I drive a 2016 BMW M235i XDrive on stock suspension and fitment. I'm looking to get rims for my tires that are currently set up on: Front 7.5Jx18 ET 45 225/40 R18 Rear 8Jx18 ET 52 255/35 R18 I'd love a more flat look for the tires and rims and was curious if an 8.5" front with 35mm offset and a 9.5" rear with 45mm offset would work or if that's crazy. Any help is appreciated! Great video btw!
18x8.5 ET35 works for the front, but it sticks out a little. 235/40/18's might take some camber to fit, and 245's of any variety definitely will. As for rears, I'm sure 18x9.5 ET45 will work, but make sure the rolling diameters are similar front and rear. If the diameter of the front is over 1% bigger or smaller than the rear, it could destroy your xDrive system.
How about 18x7.5 et45 square setup with 225/40/18s? I have a double spoke with 7.5 front and 8.5 on rear but I am trying to improve comfort and reduce road noise by going square setup and getting non-performance tires on my 21 m240 rwd. Either I get the car more comfortable or my wife will make me sell the car!! Help me please lol
Since the setup you just named is the exact same as stock xDrive cars, it'll fit perfectly. In fact, I'd say you can go a bit bigger without any issues. I'd propose 18x8.5 ET40 with 235/40/18s would do the trick. I love the 245/40/18's on my car, but the speedometer/odometer error might be a bother for you. Also takes a little more finesse to fit them.
I plan on leaving stock suspension, but really want to run 19’s. What do you recommend. I’m currently looking at 235/35/19 19x8.5 et40 front, 255/30/19 19x9.5 et45 rear. I don’t want any stretch either.
I have this setup Apex EC7 Anthracite, m235i with Dinan Lowering Springs Front 19x8.5 et 35, 225/35/19 Rear 19x9.5 et 43, 255/30/19 Toyo Proxes AS Zero rubbing, perfect fitment. 19 inch does not affect ride quality at all.
Just put a set of Apex VS-5RS on my M235i and I love them!!

Will I be fine with stock ride height, 18 inch, 35 offset, and 10mm spacers all around? I recently got the spacers for my stock wheels, but now Im putting on new rims.
Can I put a 19x9.5 wheel with stock fitment with no problem?
Great video man 👌 sucks wheel options are so limited for the 2ers but those Rex wheels look EPIC

265/35/19 in the rear?! How accurate your speedometer now? And how is your abs not freaking out all the time

doesn't increasing tyre profile decrease acceleration? also affect speedometer, milage, extra weight ?
18/8.5 35 offset on stock suspension is fine?
@frits Ramos.
Im switching to an all 4 > 8j set but Not staggard
Is it possible to add
225/ 40 R18 to the front
&
245/35 R18 to the rear
at the same time
?

Did you figure this out? Lol
Is this REX out of business? You can't buy or see any wheels on the site at all

I drive a 2016 BMW M235i XDrive on stock suspension and fitment. I'm looking to get rims for my tires that are currently set up on:

When you say “M” car, do you specifically mean a proper M car and not an M235?
Yes, the Calipers on the M cars are larger then the M Performance ones found on the m235i, m340i etc.
