@@FlaggyDE6 Exactly this! Plus there are so many nice other less touristy places in Thailand. Also bear in mind that Phuket is currently completely overrun by Russians (making up around 80% of tourists there right now as they have no other place to go anymore after that war they started)
@@markuswunsch This was my experience too this past December. 90% russians 5% other farangs 5% thais in Phuket, very sad to see. Some of them could be rude, most keep to themselves. Be kind but just wary of them especially if alcohol is involved.

This villa used to be available as a holiday let. Myself and my family stayed there in 2015. It was a wonderful experience greatly enhanced by the delightful staff and an outstanding chef!

Beautiful tour Enes. it's been 45 years since I have been to Southeast Asia and Thailand. I was a young and adventurous U.S. Navy sailor and the food, culture, scenery and the people were so inviting and delicious. It appears that it has only gotten better since then. Thanks for bringing us along.
I remember seeing Victoria Withinrich tour this place, it's still really beautiful. Also, held its $18m value which doesn't always happen between tours - not surprising though, the location basically can't be beat.

I would love to see a nightime walkthrough inside of the properties with lights on so you can see how the lights work. I believe this property would have excellent lighting at night. I see lots of diffused ceiling lights throughout the property.

At first look, it looks like a beautiful property with a dreamy view, but I didn't see any elevator in it, which I think is really a big problem for such a big house. You may not notice this problem for the first few days, but if you stay for more than a week, this problem becomes very annoying, Also, the location and design of the stairs are very bad, even the thought of the distance that must be covered to go from the entrance to the rooms on the lower floors causes leg pain.
The service kitchen would have been nice to more of. For our future second house, our service kitchen will be a showcase area, with full stainless steel and restaurant quality arrangement.
If you aren't Thai, you can't buy. One issue with properties in Thailand for foreigners is that they can't own property, lease only. There is even a limit to the percentage of foreigners who can own units in condominiums. This often results in the Thai owned condo units being leased. There is a way to use a partnership with a Thai citizen to own a share of a property but this requires co- ownership. Long-term leases are the best way to have a compound like this and the way many foreign corporations looking for retreat properties do so.
A few years ago, I read that the Thai government was planning to change the law -> if foreigners invest at least 40,000,000 Baht / $1,000,000, they would be allowed to buy and own a house and the land it stands on (at least in Bangkok and Pattaya). Has this progressed, or do you still have to resort to a long-term lease (through a Thai intermediary company) for the land? Do you know anything about this?
@@deadmanschest4322 As far as I know it hasn't changed and I don't see any mention of it having changed recently anywhere on the internet. There are deals where they give resident visas that are often based on large investments in properties but I have only seen this with condos. The condo laws have relaxed some in recent years.

I've never felt so relaxed , the whole property is gorgeous and worth the money , they did an excellent job seamlessly blending the inside with the outside , I think I'd stay in both the estate and guest house
Such a big place with so many rooms and they give you one minimum-effort room for entertainment. What are you supposed to do here other than use the pool?

Shoes indoors in Thailand is a no no ;-) Enes "forgot" to tell us that foreigners are not allowed to own land in Thailand. You have to put it in the name of a thai, f.ex your wife (and hope she don't screw you). Or, you can start a company that owns the property, where you as a foreigner only can control up to 49 % Companies like this, that really doesn't do anything than owning a plot, are something the government don't like. From time to time have cracdowns to stop this.
For those legit spamming "Where is Mikey" for the past few months, he has stated on his IG that he is going on a break and his socials have been dormant ever since. So y'all can stop the rumors saying he was fired by enes by dumb reasons y'all listed. To prove that he was not fired, his socials are still listed in the description. It's there to read. If he was fired, then why would they still have his socials credited?? Keep in mind Mikey has done a lot before their team expanded. Mikey has been filming, producing and editing every single video he's ever done with Enes. He has to fly back to L.A after the shoot just to edit the vids. That's a lot pressure on him and that's a possible reason for his break
Fantastic to see you touring a home in Thailand. Even with Chinese money, even the highest end estates are still cheap by comparison to the west. Imagine that home in California perched overlooking the ocean with direct beach access. It would be pushing at least 100 million. And the combined staff costs would be at least 10 times what they probably cost in Thailand. What a homerun video. I love how you incorporated that rain into the video. I've watched at least 75% of your videos, and I think this home may be the high water mark. It may not edge out the super sized One, in California, then again, it's less than one tenth the cost. It's like an absolute resort. It would have been interesting to know how many staff are working the property, though.

It’s a beautiful property but it’s definitely more of a private resort than a home. Someone who owns that wouldn’t live there, probably rent it out as a premium Airbnb for a couple families at a time. That waterfall wall is gorgeous no doubt, feels like a luxury hotel lobby, with it being pool water tho, does it smell of chlorine constantly? Thanks for branching out more Enes, keen to see some more properties from around the world

At first look, it looks like a beautiful property with a dreamy view, but I didn't see any elevator in it, which I think is really a big problem for such a big house. You may not notice this problem for the first few days, but if you stay for more than a week, this problem becomes very annoying, Also, the location and design of the stairs are very bad, even the thought of the distance that must be covered to go from the entrance to the rooms on the lower floors causes leg pain.
The service kitchen would have been nice to more of. For our future second house, our service kitchen will be a showcase area, with full stainless steel and restaurant quality arrangement.
If you aren't Thai, you can't buy. One issue with properties in Thailand for foreigners is that they can't own property, lease only. There is even a limit to the percentage of foreigners who can own units in condominiums. This often results in the Thai owned condo units being leased. There is a way to use a partnership with a Thai citizen to own a share of a property but this requires co- ownership. Long-term leases are the best way to have a compound like this and the way many foreign corporations looking for retreat properties do so.
A few years ago, I read that the Thai government was planning to change the law -> if foreigners invest at least 40,000,000 Baht / $1,000,000, they would be allowed to buy and own a house and the land it stands on (at least in Bangkok and Pattaya).
Has this progressed, or do you still have to resort to a long-term lease (through a Thai intermediary company) for the land? Do you know anything about this?
@@deadmanschest4322 As far as I know it hasn't changed and I don't see any mention of it having changed recently anywhere on the internet. There are deals where they give resident visas that are often based on large investments in properties but I have only seen this with condos. The condo laws have relaxed some in recent years.

Enes "forgot" to tell us that foreigners are not allowed to own land in Thailand.
You have to put it in the name of a thai, f.ex your wife (and hope she don't screw you).
Or, you can start a company that owns the property, where you as a foreigner only can control up to 49 %
Companies like this, that really doesn't do anything than owning a plot, are something the government don't like. From time to time have cracdowns to stop this.

So y'all can stop the rumors saying he was fired by enes by dumb reasons y'all listed. To prove that he was not fired, his socials are still listed in the description. It's there to read. If he was fired, then why would they still have his socials credited??
Keep in mind Mikey has done a lot before their team expanded. Mikey has been filming, producing and editing every single video he's ever done with Enes. He has to fly back to L.A after the shoot just to edit the vids. That's a lot pressure on him and that's a possible reason for his break
Fantastic to see you touring a home in Thailand. Even with Chinese money, even the highest end estates are still cheap by comparison to the west. Imagine that home in California perched overlooking the ocean with direct beach access. It would be pushing at least 100 million. And the combined staff costs would be at least 10 times what they probably cost in Thailand. What a homerun video. I love how you incorporated that rain into the video. I've watched at least 75% of your videos, and I think this home may be the high water mark. It may not edge out the super sized One, in California, then again, it's less than one tenth the cost. It's like an absolute resort. It would have been interesting to know how many staff are working the property, though.

It’s a beautiful property but it’s definitely more of a private resort than a home. Someone who owns that wouldn’t live there, probably rent it out as a premium Airbnb for a couple families at a time. That waterfall wall is gorgeous no doubt, feels like a luxury hotel lobby, with it being pool water tho, does it smell of chlorine constantly? Thanks for branching out more Enes, keen to see some more properties from around the world
