I can’t wait to see what you make with all of that gorgeous yarn from your friend, Edith! Beautiful colorways-all of them (but that burnt orange is my favorite) The bee hive is so great! She does such lovely work. Those little bees are precious❤️
👋 Gary! What a wonderful happy mail package. Edith, the bee hive basket is just fantastic and you used a perfect color. 🐝 🍯 Always a pleasure to watch your channel, Gary. Thanks for sharing...Bee safe!
Hi Gary! Thanks for sharing your happy mail and gifts from Edith. Love all the yarn, especially the first one you showed. And I just love the bee basket/yarn bowl she made for the mood board cal. Great job Edith! You have keen eye for yarn as well!
This was a lovely set of gifts from Edith. The basket is so cute and detailed. The bee-themed project bags are gorgeous. The new bag would be perfect for a current WIP that I have on the needles that continues to outgrow the bags that I put it in. The last ball is currently going and it is HEAVY. ☺ Thank you for sharing the yarnie goodness, Gary. ❤
Hello Gary, Edith's mail is so ❤🐝❤🐝 lovely. Thanks for sharing. Love your new hat project and your choice of colours❤. Hope you are all doing well. The view is stunning in the intro 😍!
Oh my ~ the pink and orange yarn is gorgeous! I look forward to seeing how you use it. Edith is a kind friend ~ she sent you a wonderful variety of yarns!
Hello Danette! So great to get your message. Those Rose Gold coloured hanks are needing a special pattern. I'm very lucky to be the receiver of that incredible bee hive.
Happy mail indeed! The Beehive reminds me of a crochet blanket design by Scheepjes. It's hexagons, of course, with little bees attached. It'll be a warm addition to our future sunroom. Take care.
Wow, what a lovely gift! Watching you unbox those lovely yarns is almost as much fun as if we were doing it ourselves. Well, we would all like a friend like Edith. Those first mixed orange/gold/pink skeins are particularly amazing. And that rainbow colour ball is fun - I made a cute unisex baby blanket in those colours for a grandchild. I have yarn in my stash that I want to make into a throw (tealy green, brown, beige speckled) and it just hasn’t inspired me. Now I know that what is missing is that lovely burnt orange colour!!! Thanks for another entertaining, colourful and inspiring video.
Hello Ozgirl - it's a happy moment when a spark of inspiration pops into our crafting minds. You are so kind to say you've made a breakthrough with your blanket after seeing the burnt orange yarn in this video. Edith is such so generous and I'm so very lucky to have received all these amazing gifts.
Hi Gary, Edith made wonderful mood board and a very special bee hive yarn holder. Lucky you to have great friends. Look forward to your next podcast. Happy August. Kathy.
Hi Kathy! I'm always extremely thankful of the people that I've met along the way in this journey! I know that Edith is reading all these positive compliments on her wonderful bee hive and inspirational mood board with joy.
Hi Gary. So nice to see you again. Love the yarns you received. The one you said looked like a jungle and I agree. The beehive is adorable. The yarns inside is gorgeous. I have been doing some crocheting but still doesn't have my crojo.
Hello Andrea Louis - thank you so kindly for the interpretation with the German! I can see that being like an Ambrosia styled apple! I know that Edith would love reading the message about her Bee Hive!
Beautiful yarns. Ur very fortunate to have good friends that send u such gifts. I'm not that lucky..LOL Although last October I did get a large donation from a local lady. So I shouldn't complain.😊 😊😊
Hello Linda - I am so fortunate to have Edith share her friendship and gifts. I know from her reading your comment that she's is feeling all the positive vibes about her adorable bee hive.
Hi Terry - I'm not sure if the bee hive that Edith made was from a kit? It is was wonderful gift that was made for the MAL. I'm so lucky to have received it!
Gary, you should display one of the square cubes behind you with a few folded #crochet projects and another one with the #amigurumi (s) completed projects. Just an 💡 idea💡...🫶🏻
That's a great idea Amy! I was thinking of switching out the items more regularly on these shelves and keep the other shelves - where Hank normally stands the same. That way there always new things to look at.
Teas: Hol Dir Kraft - an energy lifting, 'bring back your strength' type of tea and from the picture blend of marigold, cinnamon, lemon balm or honeybush? Basically CITRUS and FLORAL notes. Granat-apfel is POMEGRANATE. I couldn't make out the entire label but the first part was Kirsch - which is CHERRY. Couldn't see the rest. Sorry. What a nice lady to send you these goodies all the way from Germany. That honeypot is wonderful. 😊
These are great translations and help me realize the flavours of the teas. I can see myself enjoying all of these. I agree with you that Edith is such a sweet and kind person - I am a lucky person to have her share so much with me.
Wollbiene is trannslated to Anthidium, which is a species variety of bees. Basically: a Wool Bee. In German 'wollbiene' pronounced: 'vol' as the first 4 letters in the word 'vault', 'bie' is pronounce as 'bee' like the honey gathering bumblebee, 'ne' is pronounced as first 2 letters in the word 'net'. So: Vol-bee-ne.
Thank you so kindly marpro for the pronunciation help. It's never fun for me to try reading the labels in another language - but I do love these special gifts so much that I take my best shot.
Oooh, Lucky Gary. Edith sends out amazing happy mail. Thar hive is too cool! Such beautiful yarns. She's such a generous and kind woman. You deserve it. Im all caught up now 😅. See you soon ❣️
