    First things first, That sandwich looked fantastic! As you know, I'm a simple minded lad. So charcoal on the bottom, set the cooker on it with more charcoal in that chimney looking thing? No vents? Interesting nonetheless. Love it brother!☆✌️

    • @PaulieDetmurds
      @PaulieDetmurds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All coals sit outside of the cooking "chamber". Wood chips are placed inside though, bout outside of the drip pan. I think maybe I should have explained that in the vid. No vents! Thank You my Cuz from Oklahoma!

  • @SleeperBBQ
    @SleeperBBQ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I've herd of that smoker different for sure .so coals top and bottom? Neet sandwich looked good

    • @PaulieDetmurds
      @PaulieDetmurds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, on top and mostly on the bottom. Smoke comes from the chips that are placed outside of the drip pan, yet not in the coals on the outside of the cooker's body. Sandwich rocked! Thanks Lance!

    I totally read that as onion cooker. Weird how the brain works. That's a pretty neat looking gadget. I've not seen one before. Only 45 bucks is awesome. Hahahahaha pizza sauce on the face. You might want to consider a mirror lol. They got impatient lol. Sounds like me. It just takes soooo long to smoke meats. Oh it's more than 45? Well I probably wouldn't pay more lol. Doesn't seem convenient enough for a higher price. MMMM love the cole slaw on the pulled pork sammich. Looks delicious!!

    • @PaulieDetmurds
      @PaulieDetmurds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank You for the great kindness! It did only cost her $45, it was some sort of special offer. However, when I looked it up, none of them were selling at that price! Funny thing is I did check to make sure my teeth were clear of any food debris, but somehow didn't look at the rest of my face! Lol!

    Gteat cook brother. Great score on the cooker. If the meatstick is 6" away from metal it will not work right. Also don't wrap it in aluminum foil. Make sure its sticking out of it... ask me how i know that one. 😆 🤣

    • @PaulieDetmurds
      @PaulieDetmurds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Away from metal? I had the charger within 6 feet. Was actually about 3 feet away. It is my daugter's cooker, not mine! I went without wrapping it this time,..got a little experimental.

    I was gifted an Orion cooker, but I've yet to use it a year later. I wonder if it gives good smoke flavor? Or is it designed to use cheap dirty smoking wood and prevent the smoke?

    • @PaulieDetmurds
      @PaulieDetmurds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Inside of it, you place desired wood chips just outside of the drip pan. The heat from the coals on the outside gets the chips heated up giving the meat some smoke. I only used maybe a cup of hickory wood chips,..not much of a smoke note, but the chips were gone at the end of the cook. Thanks for watching!!
