    Time to review ANOTHER dual screen action camera, this time from Campark, the V40 4K action camera. If it looks familiar, well it should, it's an exact copy of the Akaso Brave 7LE but I'll talk more about that in the next videos :)
    In this video a quick first look at it, resolution samples with bitrates for each and an audio test. Regarding audio, I was pleasantly surprised that the audio on this camera is not quiet at all like the Akaso Brave 7LE, so that tells me that the audio on the Akaso line cameras CAN be addressed in a firmware update but in the next videos I'll also talk about maybe WHY Akaso is not fixing the low audio.
    Tell me in the comment section what YOU think about the video quality and yes, 1080@60 on this is terrible !

    It really is amazing what $140 will get you now. I remember spending $1800 for a prosumer S-VHS camera with a crappy lens and 400 lines of resolution back in the early to mid 90's. Kids have it so good today.
    Question for you. When you did the 4K EIS test, there were 3 jerks that I noticed in the footage. What do you think that was? Great first look!

    • @WORTHITORNOT
      @WORTHITORNOT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      With these budget action cameras, the EIS is not able to react fast enough to sudden movements to keep it a smooth movement, hence why you see the jerky movement in pan movements especially. The Hero 8 and Osmo Action have much more powerful processing chips that can react instantly to sudden shakes/bumps. Hope this helps

    Yet another great review! Yep... me again...lol! I was looking at the v40 and have it in my wish list on amazon especially now that there is a $20 coupon (for now). After this review I think I will hold off as my V30 is still doing a great job. It is what I use for all of my videos on my channel and use it for my dash cam also. The audio sync issue is a problem though. I did recently buy new batteries to see if it helps with the over heating issue I told you about, but have yet to try them due to stormy weather here in NW Ga ( I am visiting family til the Pandemic is over). Anyways.... Thanks again for the great review.... keep em coming as they really help us poor folks....lol!

    Just when my Campark V30 arrives, I see that Campark has a V40. Isn't that always the case?
    I checked the Campark website and the V30 was still on a sale at $99.99 AND it still comes with the battery charger. The V40 does not list any battery charger in "What's in the box". That's a deal breaker for me. So I'm not disappointed.

    Andre - thanks for the review. Your comparison reviews seem second to none! I am new to this and was wondering if you would suggest video editing software. Premier Pro seems a little complicated to this 73 year old. Btw, the sound, stabilization, color, etc seem very nice to me on this camera, especially for the price.

    • @WORTHITORNOT
      @WORTHITORNOT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like you said I use Premiere Pro and once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Davinci Resolve is a very powerful editing software and it has a free version BUT the learning curve is STEEP. If you have a windows computer, it automatically comes with Windows Movie maker, very simple editing software that can do some very basic stuff and you can add audio etc. There is a ton of tutorials online for Movie maker and that's probably the one I would suggest starting with. As you grow more comfortable with editing on it, you "might" want to give PP a try.

    • @MZPCreations
      @MZPCreations 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Power Director is also super easy. Easier than Adobe but Adobe is better. Filmora is like the middle point between those 2. Don't even think about davinci resolve. It's free but your brain will pay the price lol 😂😂😂😂😂.. I'm 30 and I did kinda get it but it's just way too overwhelming

    Hi Andre, my name is Andy. Appreciate the over view, I recently purchased this Campark V40. Also purchased the Victure AC940. I have a GoPro Hero 5 Black & Hero 6 Black that both take turns freezing up, in making fishing video's, it actually missed some key catches, always seems to freeze up & get hot at the worse times. I have a 5 Year old cheap Eken 4K that actually takes better video than these 2 newer higher tech budget action cameras & definitely is more reliable to work than the GoPro's. I returned the Victure AC940, but am keeping the Campark V40 & will try to work with it. This Campark video can be dark, even when light is ok, any suggestions. I'm not great at editing, but can grind through it, do you think I can improve the darkness issues a bit in editing (have about 74 video's posted on TH-cam). Not looking for perfection, just being able to see the fish being caught & released, fair video quality. Any suggestions on settings, 4K @ 30 vs 1080 @ 60 with this camera (my usual GoPro setting). I've been told not to bother with 4K for reasons I don't need it, takes up time etc... Sorry for the long comment! Wish I could go with a GoPro, it's not the price, it's the freezing up issues.

    • @WORTHITORNOT
      @WORTHITORNOT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I suggest staying at 4K@30 and up the EV value in camera to brighten up the image a bit which is better than trying to do it in editing afterwards. Hope this helps
