Adding a link to the chain is a much cheaper way to add stability than triple clamps. Sliding the forks up and down is not a generally effective way to get the forks to work properly..
@@dirtrider2234 Sure, it's a big deal but why does the factory, with all their resources, always seem to miss the offset by 1mm this way or that? Then MXA claims that it's an issue of the wheelbase being changed by an amount smaller than you might from tensioning your chain. By that measure changing the rear sprocket by a tooth and moving the axle 4mm to accommodate it should totally F up the bike. Sorry but I have to throw the BS flag.
@dirtrider2234 suspension isn't mandatory. Shane McElrath got P12 at a pro national on a bone stock, fresh from the dealer 2023 yz450. Stock springs, stock valving. You don't NEED your suspension done.

I have one and everything they said is exactly what i felt, suspension stock is horrendous, has decent low to mid but nothing on top, wont rev, and wont pull 3rd in corners. Not a bad first shot at a Motocross bike but you have to remember, all the other manufactures have had decades to develop their bikes. There is no way Ducati triumph beta 4 Japanese and 3 versions of ktms will make enough $12,000 sales to make it profitable. In 4 years 3-4 will be gone.
KTM is already pulling the GAS GAS Team from the World Championship for next year. I think Beta will survive, but maybe go back to Enduro and Trials bikes. Ducati and Triumph will sell some bikes, but they won't come close to the sales of the Japanese or KTM. They will continue to build bikes, as long as they are fine being a niche brands for years to come
I personally rode the 300 2 stroke version and the bike felt light yet heavy, wanted to be short shifted bad, and felt insanely stiff, does whoops great tho, my first impression was in a night race in the desert so results may vary
Rewatching, the rear end danced around a lot under power? The traction control wasn't mentioned? Wondering if Twisted can unlock the Continental ECU and find more?
Lower-offset clamps should always increase stability. I know that folks FEEL that a (in this case 1.5mm) wheelbase is less stable, but old wives' tales die hard.
you guys are joking about getting horse power by lubing the chain ? Well guess what, you get more horsepower bonus from lubing your chain than by switching your stoke mufler to an aftermaket super cool one
I'd bet some money 99% of riders will pur down better lap times on this bike than any other 450. Why, you ask? For the same reason that 99% of people put down faster tomes on 250's than 450's; it's easier to ride!
What does , what we really think mean ? Is that in relation to ktmgroup where you can't say anything outside of the contract agreements . Ah the old hp numbers 😅😅
When will the „very professional „ MXA-Crew, which obviously gives advice to manufacturers, finally figure out that lowering the offset does extend trail, which again makes bikes more stable? No you wouldn’t think different if you knew watcha talking about…🙄
Obviously you have never tried this test yourself. Yes in theory increased trail should increase stability, but that is in a 2 Dimensional world (think pavement). In motocross with bumps, whoops, loose soil, hardpack, muc, up hills and down hills (all factors that reduce stability), moving the front wheel out does typically improve stability. In this case, i was also surprised the lower offset increased stability on the Beta 450rx. On the '24 CRF450r, KTM 450sxf, and YZ450f we increased offset to 23.5 from 22mm and all the test riders and professional racers agreed this was an improvement in both stability and handling. This is why testing is so important. Every bike is different and each reacts differently to chassis modifications. - Ride Eng.
@@rideengineeringinc.8959 Do you plan on testing the 23.5 for Beta.? I realize the off the shelf 2t 20.5 was readily available, but is typically used to increase run in for single track.
I am continually amazed how manufacturers continually put out unbalanced bikes with crap suspension. Does anyone actual ride and test these things at the factory or is it, “well this is what the computer says we should do”
I think that the manufacturers do that on purpose, so it keeps the suspension guys in business ? Some bikes aren’t to bad if you can play with them, spring charges maybe, sag and so on.
BETA and all the brands must be shakin' in their boots. DUCATI is coming with a HEAVY WEIGHT team of riders. Better up their game and lower their prices. They were always just different. DUCATI? Mmmmm,.. tasty.
You clearly have been admiring the exotics from a far. Because if you'd ever owned one, you would know how unbelievably temperamental most of them are. Not to mention, the maintenance costs are astronomical. And Ducati's are no different.

If you're trying to take the oil plug out of the bike you're going the wrong way variety tighty lefty loosey you were going the wrong way to pull the drain plug out of the engine
Hopefully Beta will take note and make these changes. Thanks to MXA:-) Hope you're healing up Josh, we miss ya on the bikes.
They have actually, the 2025 bike has a whole plethora of changes and fixes from the concerns of the factory teams and consumers

The way they do reviews make no sense. The power is an issue, BUT it’s equivalent to a Kawi and better than a Suzuki and just under a KTM. Do better
