I just finished my installation, followed every step and i can't roll my passenger side window from the driver side control, and the front windows don't roll automatically down anymore, any ideas why this could be?
Herbert Hernandez It is because you disconnected the battery so the controls reset. Do this, roll the window up and hold the button up for a few sec then push down and it should set it. Do this on each side, and then the driver side switch will activate for the passenger side window. Let me know if this helped you :)
Your video was the best filmed and narrated I have come across. The only reason why I bought the IAG was you were installing that model. Overwise, I wouldn't even attempt it. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to both of you, in helping me install my IAG AOS system. I never could have done the project without your TH-cam video. There was fabricating the AOS mounts and getting different clamps, fitting and more hose. In the end, it worked out. You must be an excellent mechanic working somewhere. Amazing, you knew that AOS system inside out. Most people that I know with Subis don't even have an AOS installed. The engine looks pretty fancy now. Thanks for all your HELP!!!!!!!!!
Wow thank you so much for those kind words man😁 It makes me happy to hear my video is helping people out like yourself. The AOS is definitely getting more popular now and more people with Subaru’s should think about adding this to the car. I think it’s the fact that it can seem scary to install it and that’s why few people actually have this. Hopefully that turns around here soon and more Subaru’s get saved in the long run 💪🏼
everyone is saying it, but this is seriously the best aos install video. you and the camera man did an amazing job on this video. i’ll be installing mine on m next day off! 👌🏼
You guys derserve much more subs and views. Stop feeding to the other half asses videos ppl cmon! Think I have it down now. Installing this next week. 😊
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!! your video is the clearest most detailed and every other goodies on youtube. I was thinking of sending it to a shop now you just save me $300. You re amazing1
Thank you very much sir!!! Got mine installed without any issues thanks to your video. Appreciate it 👍👍 One question though. How did you install the intercooler after taking the bottom piece apart?
Sugoi WRX I’m glad my video helped you out :). And you pretty much have to shove your arm down under neath the inter cooler from each side while trying to tighten those bolts down. It’s a pain in the ass and after a while of struggling I was able to do it. If I remember you just have to get the correct angle with your arm and push some things out of the way while your reaching.
amazing video man this is the best one I could find that actually shows u the little things you need to know to get it done properly!! Bloody fingers and all trying to get those damn zip ties on in dman near impossible locations!
So much more detailed than the other youtubers who weren’t really making much sense to begin with so it was a no brainer to subscribe haha! I was contemplating just hiring out a shop to do it but after watching this I think I can tackle it myself! I’m guessing it’s nearly the same process as the 2011-2014 sti but I couldn’t really find an install video for this generation?
Thank’s man I appreciate that 😁 It should be very very similar with just some things being different. Here is a link for IAG’s instructions for that year frame of the STI :) Hope this helps www.iagperformance.com/v/vspfiles/downloadables/instructions/IAG/IAG-ENG-7251/IAG-CS-AOS-STI-7251-v.01.pdf
Oh my lord I can’t get my intercooler back in to save my life. I refuse to do the method you did because I can’t seem to get my hands underneath to tighten the y pipe back on. Very detailed video though, and it helped me sooo much getting everything together, despite that iag forgot to include a 1/2” hose
I feel your pain bro, there is a reason that part was not on video. I was recording us struggling to put it on for like 30 min and then turned off the camera because I didn’t know how long it was going to take to get that sucker on and I didn’t want to kill my battery before finishing the video. That is honestly the hardest part in the whole install.
@@BeeAboveAverage haha definitely agreed, would be a bore seeing you struggle for 30 minutes trying to put it back on. I’ve done it before and haven’t had this much trouble, but it’s definitely the lines that are being a pain right now. Appreciate the well put together tutorial!
Finally got around to putting this in, I think you should explain which 1/2 hose goes to which port because there are 3 different lengths of 1/2 hoses. I know the longest one is the one that travels across but some people might get confused and IAG doesnt tell which one is which on their instructions manual. What did you use to pinch the coolant lines? And would it fuck it up if I pinched it? Not sure if that metal piece is just an insulation type cover or not. But after following your guide step by step, it's been superb. Tell your camera man to center the shot more 😁
I just used a clamp for the coolant hose and it didn’t seem to do anything bad to it, I figured since IAG said to do it, than it is ok 🤷🏼♂️ My cameraman is definitely getting a lot better considering he voluntarily helps me out 😁 We will strive to do better in future videos, thank you for the support bro 💪🏼
And the great thing on this vid is it also shows oil that’s blown by and in the intake manifold already. What this system is intended to prevent. Also, is your turbo seal leaking? The hot side looks wet
You really did a pretty detailed install on there!! i am currently facing the same problem with the intercooler install(turbo hose blocked by the 1/2" hose). thinking of figuring the way to put back the Top mount IC. The way you have done is pretty smart! But i have a quick question here -- while you have disconnected the Intercooler from its bottom metal hoses, how did you put back those 4 bolts back?? can i know what kind of tools or tricks helped you do that specific way? kindly help me with that bro!! Will be greatly helpful for me.
Dhanush Chimalapati If I remember correctly, I had a friend push some wires away from where I was reaching my arm and I hand threaded the bolts in and then got a small wrench to tighten them. I forget exactly how I did it but it took about an hour for the bolts itself. You have to try a bunch of different angles and might have to take some things apart out of the way but I was able to pull it off without doing that. It’s a struggle man I swear! Wish I could explain this a bit more. I was so irritated trying to get it on that I put my camera down so I could just focus on it. I hope this helps!
This install is very informative! Other videos out there are hard to follow. Quick question tho, I have Cobb downpipe heatshield, do i have to remove that heatshield and not run it?
Thank you I appreciate it :) Also are you talking about needing to remove it to do the AOS install? If so, the answer is no you don’t. The reason I don’t have a heat shield is because it won’t fit around my aftermarket invidia downpipe. But if you have a heat shield on currently and only doing the AOS you wouldn’t have to remove the heat shield. Just make sure you route the hose properly around it :)
H Gp Thank you so much that means a lot 😊 I did have to bend the brake lines back a little bit for the AOS to fit and I forgot to add that clip in by accident and realized after the fact 😓
maaaan.. i was just gonna go to the shop and make them install it but this video gave me the courage to do it. my next step is installing 1050x injectors, do u have a video for that?
yo! you have no heatshield? how is the routing of the hoses will be if i have a heatshield? lol damm the struggle is real reaching down there for the 2 Y’s for intercooler. good shit tho! u gave me the confidence to do this. also im assuming you only took less than 2 hours?
I feel like the routing is the same with or without a heat shield. It’s ultimately personal preference on where to route the hoses. It took me longer than 2 hours to do the install because I was trying to film at the same time so that slowed me down. But anybody should be able to do this under 2 hours if they are just going at it none stop.

Great video! Perhaps I missed it, but the last hose you installed at the 36:25 mark- what does that white PCV connect to? I picked up a 2017 STI that has this AOS, but the PCV on this hose is just loose and disconnected. Thanks!
I believe that goes directly into the turbo inlet :) Sometimes after market turbo inlets don’t have this also if the car has or had an AOS on it already it could be a competition series that vents into the atmosphere instead of recirculated back into the intake track.
Hey guys. I was not able to finish the job until I got the Killer Bee dual port for the oil. I am having the same problem as you did while installing the TMIC. Too many hoses. Did you install your TMIC by removing the Y-piping and hoses from the intercooler? Then reinstall those back on the outlet. Finally, reattach the intercooler to the y-pipes? So far no luck any other way. Thanks in advance!!!
Yea that is exactly how I did it. I had angled sockets and other things that could help me out a little when putting the bolts back. I also pushed some stuff out of the way to free up space. You have to attack it at really weird angles to get the bolts back. I had to have my friend help with moving some things as I did it. Unfortunately for me my camera died towards the end there so I couldn’t record anymore. I’m sure my way is not the most ideal but it worked for me ahha. I really hope you get it on there!
@@BeeAboveAverage Thanks so much for the reply! I will make the attempt later today. That is definitely the only way you can get the hose to go on completely. Even though your camera died. Yes there is a bit of a difference between the two installs. I do have a 2013 wrx iag aos install if that helps unless you are talking about the FA WRX
screech384 Its not the easiest job but you have to reach your arm under the inter cooler at an angle to reach the bolts underneath. Have to push some stuff off to the side to make room for your arm. It takes a little time to find the right spot to put your arm into and the correct angle but after that it’s simple.
Be Above Average it was a pain in the ass, but I managed to get it on the normal way, I had some slack in that drain line that runs under the turbo and pulled it it back some. It gave me enough clearance to get the intercooler on! Thanks for the video!!!!!
@@BeeAboveAverage I mean, I'm seriously not trying to be a dick or hate, but thats just installed wrong in that particular part. IDK if you cut the hose too short or just couldnt get it under there but it shouldn't be laying across the top of the IC. I know it doesn't matter for you if you installed a FMIC, but kind of fuct up that you don't address it if people with a TMIC are using this as a guide and getting the same result. Again, no offense my dude, most of the video is spot on, just really think you should have addressed that in a 'how to' video, at least something in the description. I'm sure you realized it was messed up before posting the video...
@@_jovian You can route the hoses how ever tf you want to. It’s where you connect them that matters. It doesn’t have to go a specific way? Or be a specific length? I’m not sure you even know what you are talking about.
And actually I was mistaken, I never removed that plastic/rubber piece when I did that install. I removed it when I did my fmic and the bov wouldn’t clear. So I actually had zero clearance issues with it when I installed it. And I haven’t seen another comment on here that had that issue. So it looks like you are doing something wrong. Maybe check out some other videos if mine is not your cup of tea 🤷🏼♂️
@@BeeAboveAverage I mean yeah, obviously all that matters is that the circuit is correct but show me another person who installed this with the lines over the TMIC and removed their TMIC shroud from the hood to compensate...
So I have a problem, the crankcase vent sensor that you mention at 7:54, I don't have it. I spoke with a friend and he said its probably because the car had an Iag aos competition that doesn't require those sensors. So how or where to be exact do I plug the last top line 36:13 then?
5murf Sti I promise it’s not too hard if you just take your time and take it one step at a time 😆 Follow me on insta and if you have any questions I’ll be there to assist you as much as I could brother
Jievy Jumawan There would be slight differences for this car. I have a 2013 wrx hatchback myself and I’m currently in the process of selling it to my friend . He said he will do the aos when he buys the car so when he does that I will make a detailed video on that install as well. Just waiting on him is all.

The installs are actually a little bit different :( Here is a link for the STI version of the install from IAG. Hope this helps wish I had a video on it! www.iagperformance.com/v/vspfiles/downloadables/instructions/IAG/IAG-ENG-7151/IAG-SS-AOS-08-14-STI-7151-v.01.pdf
Hell yes
Is the bottom hose for the breather ok to be that close to the turbo?
I assume so since that is how IAG says to route it 🤷🏼♂️
is there any difference between STI and WRX for installation of this?
Yes there is a bit of a difference between the two installs. I do have a 2013 wrx iag aos install if that helps unless you are talking about the FA WRX
13:10 is that oil in the intake from the stock PCV system?
Yessir ☹️ That is why this is so important for these cars 😅
Do you have to use Teflon on the coolant lines?
Are you talking about when it comes time to pinch them off?
what a damn legend
Well damn I appreciate that 😁
Very nice. Thanks.
Most welcome
Nice vid man!
Will the AOS void the warranty?
I believe so because you are messing with the factory PVC system on the car :(
So how did you guys tighten the intercooler!???
screech384 Its not the easiest job but you have to reach your arm under the inter cooler at an angle to reach the bolts underneath.
Thanks for the video!!!!!
screech384 You are welcome, and glad to hear you got it all figured out and finished!
how did you get the hood to close with the lines laying over the intercooler without pinching them closed?
I actually removed the plastic/rubber piece under the hood, gave me perfect clearance after that.
You should be describing what each port does would be more informative
So I have a problem, the crankcase vent sensor that you mention at 7:54, I don't have it. I spoke with a friend and he said its probably because the car had an Iag aos competition that doesn't require those sensors. So how or where to be exact do I plug the last top line 36:13 then?
Anyone with experiences on this?
Jorge Fournier Do you still have that port on your block that would have that hose and connection on it?
@@BeeAboveAverage no. 😔 just found the plug and it's bridged and taped. But no port.
Is it possible to just fit both lines with the front port?
Jorge Fournier What car exactly is this going on? Might help me figure this out for you
@@BeeAboveAverage 2015 sti
Help me do mine this is a pain in the ass
What do you need help with my man 😁
Be Above Average the whole thing lol
5murf Sti I promise it’s not too hard if you just take your time and take it one step at a time 😆 Follow me on insta and if you have any questions I’ll be there to assist you as much as I could brother
There people who disliked this video :P really?
Hiep Duong Can’t make everyone happy 😂
Would it be the same for 13 WRX?
Jievy Jumawan There would be slight differences for this car. I have a 2013 wrx hatchback myself and I’m currently in the process of selling it to my friend . He said he will do the aos when he buys the car so when he does that I will make a detailed video on that install as well. Just waiting on him is all.
