I am watching this video, cause I just bought the LG U8000, 50” from Costco. They deliver via UPS to my apartment door, 🎊. It’s larger than I thought, it’s an upgrade from the LG 42 inch from 2010 that’s still working. It’s complicated to set up, wish I can purchase a set up technician as well.

I just bought 65" version of this model and i'm very happy with picture quality and i'm very picky about it. Build quality is not very good, it is quite "fat" but it's backlight panel. Anyway most important thing with is picture quality is very good. I had a lot of tvs and three of them were oleds, so besides oleds this one is my favorite. Easy recommendation for this price point.
@@lerspacexyz5977 it is not android, it's web os, and i read that people complain about slow system, but it's really ok, not super fast, but definitely not lagy. Oleds are great, but not that great as pc monitor, like ABL for example, it's option that prevents screen burn in that u can't disable.
@@PAUL-MH i grown out of gaming and i realize it is 50hz panel, but if you want great picture on 65" try ps5 or xbox series x, or maby turn off motion smoothing option, it realy can mess up quality in fast moving scenes. Otherwise buy 120hz tv.
Ive just purchased the 43" version yesterday. It is ex display model from store. First impressions comparing it to my father-in-laws Samsung tv of the same price range, i would say his samsung has better picture quality. More clarity and more of a feel like the people on screen are actually in the room with you. Ive just noticed that the remote in this video is diffetent to the LG one ive been given. My remote looks akin to the magic remote!
I have this TV, I turned off Eco mode, which I wanted, but The Eco mode has gone completely, not up the top basic standard ect, not in settings either, just disappeared, not even the word Eco, plus auto Eco Gone, no update done, put to factory still didn't come back, and reset AV. Strange why a TV takes it away?

I've got one of these being delivered by Curry's tomorrow as a replacement for a Panasonic TV I bought a couple of weeks ago. That TV has terrible vertical banding all over the screen, from right to left. I've seen banding before, but not as bad as that one. This will be my 3rd LG TV. The last one I bought was in 2010. I've never had a problem with LG TV's before, and I hope this one is no different. I really hope it has no vertical banding on it.
I recently bought one of these models. But its the 70 inch model. And it was 599? At best buy. I actually bought for my dad. Because he was using a old sharp aqua TV. It worked still but it was 15 yrs old lol. So I bought him this LG 70 TV. Now he has AT&T. I do also. And they only give 1080P. So it's definitely not super clear and needs some adjustments. I got it where it's more clear and he likes it. But when you actually watch something that's 4k with this TV? It's a beautiful screen that's clear asf. So you really need 4k content to watch to actually get the best use of these models imo. And AT&T don't have 4k. Sadly
Bought this in June 2023. Extremely disappointing! Should have returned it right away. I am not sure if its the model or just mine is faulty but there is this yellow bright halo on things when there is movement on screen. Brought it back for repairs couple of weeks ago, was told its not faulty, just the way it is. Is anyone else experiencing this? Its not noticable all the time but a lot of the time and gets pretty bad against a lighter background.

How do I use the game optimizer mode? I’m trying to use it with my PS5 and all it does is cycle through several modes and doesn’t show any picture or have sound
Mine is plugged to HDMI ARC (HDMI 1) port, change picture and sound mode to game optimizer so you can actually go to game optimizer separate menu to set low latency on.
Coupls of questions. How quickly does this tv get to a usable state, from a cold start? I have a samsung and it is sp underpowered, apps dont start up quickly and it takes at least a minute before the user interface becomes responsive to the remote. I was trying to avoid making the same mistake twice! Second question can it play mkv or mp4 from a usb hard drive?

Hi everyone! I recently bought this Tv and in general terms i am very satisfied. However i have a few questions. I use that as a pc monitor so the screen doesn't fit exactly but it seems that it goes a little further. For example the arrow on the upper left corner which is the thing that you have to click on if you want to go back,is merely visible. It seems that is out of the border if it make sense. I tried a couple of options on tv and on pc's display settings as well, but nothing worked. The second thing is that when i enable game optimizer mode, the screen is flickering and the cause is the enabled HDR. Has anyone else this issue? I tried to alternate the refresh rate and the Hdmi cable is brand new but the problem remains. And my last question is something about a personal preference but i would love to hear your opinion. What is the best screen settings for this Tv? Thanks in advance!!
For scale on TV and scale of your file are different. If you want to fix them you should change your file' scale to 16:9. You can search on TH-cam How to fix your file' scale with tivi. Good luck
Hey does anyone know what would cause a red outline on TH-cam videos on this tv? I'm about to send the TV back as I watch TH-cam alot and it's so distracting. The red outline isn't there all the time just certain videos and it outlines people and objects and even their faces. Surely this has to be a setting I can just alter? Thankyou

As to the last part. Big jump inquiring about a budget 50 to buying a '70' OLED. I personally would have went with 65" to sell it better.
Probably a decent TV but, as usual with LG: black crush in dark or shadowed scenes: it's hard to watch TV and especially movies, when you can see only the half faces of the actors 😥. Without this issue they would sell the best budget TV's on earth. 😥
i wouldn't say it's limited with LG .. i have a Philips 4K TV and i'm struggling to watch as well when the background's all dark. i have to make adjustment on the brightness to address that issue.

It's strange because I don't have that issue at all on my old 43K5100 samsung budget TV which masters the brightness and the contrast with all type of content including SD channels. For me it's clear: the big names downgraded their mid and budget TV's technically to boost their revenues with expensive models.
TV is a piece of trash. Use it as a glorified table. Randomly shuts down on its own and since it's a 'smart' tv when you power it on it powers your consoles up as well... The same occurs when the tv decides to shut off as well, but instead of powering your console down normally it acts like you just pulled the power cable. Corrupted my ps4 hard drive. Actual retail price should be $20. Worthless.

It's a shame, most of netflix is 4k now but yeah you notice 1080 on a 70 inch screen because the picture is blown up as well

Have you tried to turn off the HDMI Device Link under your console system settings? It did the trick for me.
