Thank you so much for this video! I have this exact dormer vent (two of them) on my S-tile roof that the original roofers installed flat on the roof (i.e. under the bottom row of tiles). Of course, water gets diverted under the tiles then travels down the underlayment the rest of the way. The underlayment has broken down over the years and now I have bad leaks. I knew it was installed wrong, but I've been unable to find any information on the correct way to install them as it seems the O'Hagin or other contoured vents are more typical for the s-tiles. I'm glad to see it is possible to reuse my dormers when I do the repairs. Thank you!! By the way, the trick with the wire is great! I'm very impressed with the care you take to ensure a leak proof roof and to ensure that the tiles will never shift or slide down. Great work!
