I am working on a project to fix some marble etching and also stripping off wax from some mosaic tiles. I was wondering if you can help point me in the right direction here. Here’s what I am tracking we will need to and to do for the following: Marble: Equipment: - Speed Polisher / Sander - Diamond Polishing Pads - Horsehair Pad Material: - 5x Powder - Water Removing the Etching: Use a fresh piece of grit sandpaper from 100, 120, to 200 attached to the orbital sander. Instead of using medium pressure, you will want to press firmly directly on the etch. Never stop moving the sander because if you leave it in one place the sander will further damage the marble floor. Use a tack cloth to remove the particles of dust and wipe it down with a damp rag. Mosaic Tile Wax Removal: Equipment: - Dust Mop - Dust Pan - Wet Dry Vac - Commercial Buffer - Buffer Pads - Wax Stripping Pads Material - Betco Extreme - Water Removing the Wax: 1. Sweep / Vac the surface area 2. Pre wet & grout surface area with water 3. Apply solution 4. Agitate surface area with commercial buffer 5. Mop up any dirty solution - or wet dry vac it.
Geddy Costello rarely do i take on this type of task. Oddly enough the corners came up well with just toweling over at the end. One more visit scheduled to finish up this mess. 😀👍
A recently removed dry latex paint overspray from tile floors with Jasco paint/epoxy thinner. It helped but the 2 bedroom apartment still took 3+ hours or major scraping with a wire brush. I want to find a Product/Method that will melt that shit away

Removing the Wax:
1. Sweep / Vac the surface area

5. Mop up any dirty solution - or wet dry vac it.
For corners and edges I use a 3M Doodlebug with the brown or black pads. Great tool to have and it saves your back.

What what chemicals are you using to get the wax off the floor? Plus you’re doing a great job….??

So you mix stripper and hydrogen peroxide to strip and clean the grout and the tile floor…??
On this one yes. There was floor finish that needed to be removed. You need floor stripper to remove floor finish. Peroxide is a personal choice. 👍
