The only thing I disagree with you on is the Tesla Roadster. Sports car enthusiasts value a car for much more than just 0-60 times. The emotion of a car is found in it's exhaust note, handling characteristics, ability to change or hold gears, etc. While I have zero doubt it will be a big seller, it can never replace what you can get from something like a 911 GT3.
This is what used to be called the 'real men don't eat quiche' argument, often esposed, metaphorically, by writers like LJK Setright in CAR magazine. It will end up as a boomer footnote in history, as younger generations replace us (I'm 65).
When the new Roadster takes the lap record at the Nurburgring and makes Bugattis, Paganis, Lamborghinis and Porsches look as slow as a horse & cart, these legacy Hypercars will get relegated to audiophile turntable status - only bought by a handful of diehard 'enthusiasts'.
@@SimonBirkby I do agree that there are a portion of these buyers who buy the car purely for the status or the bragging rights of the fastest 0-60, but there is a reason the 911 resale market is what it is and there is a reason you can't just walk into a dealership and even order a 911 GT3 (let alone buy one) the demand for these types of cars will not be going away any time soon. At the 2-300k price range, it won't really be competing with hyper cars either, many of whom are now adopting hybrid power in order to chase those 0-60 or 1/4 mile times.
In time, perhaps you will be right, but I don't see it happening in the next decade or two.
@@SimonBirkbyas someone apart of said younger generation. I want a visceral experience in a car I want to feel apart of the car, shifting gears. The sound of a v8 can’t be replicated because an electric car can do 0-60 in 1 second. Is it cool? Yea, would I take a Ferrari, Porsche or Lambo over it? 10 out of 10 times.

Great point about the perspective of TSLAs low price right now. TBH I hope it stays this way till crypto does its thing so that I can roll over profits into TSLA LEAPS. But I doubt this will happen in time. I think FSD is closer than that...
I see the home energy angle as akin to Apples ecosystem approach. The convenience and potential of having a car that could power your house is overlooked. It’s an ecosystem waiting to happen as we unlock the decentralized energy future.

James, my 15 year old daughter just came into the living room whilst I was watching your earlier bitcoin video, and said "is this guy from Germany, his accent sounds like that?". I was like "I think he's from Switzerland originally years ago but I'd never know because James just has a North American accent to me" (we're in the UK). Crazy eh? But she does go to an international school so has a lot of experience with different accents!

James great to see your focus on Tesla. I did a "tap dance" 2+ weeks ago shed 1/2 of my TSLA bag for ARKB (BTC). In that time frame ARKB/BTC has increased 38%. TSLA remained flat. Can you recommend a strategy to optimize moving back to TSLA. I was considering to put some of the ARKB gain back into TSLA but believe ARKB/BTC will be the faster horse for the next few months. The objective is to grow TSLA bag / lower average cost per share. Mega thanks for sharing with us the math and path to financial freedom. Been with you lurking from the very early days!
Pick a % for bitcoin at 80%+ and rebalance occasionally by selling BTC and buy TSLA. Bitcoin will go up more than TSLA when Tesla adds bitcoin to its energy trading bot, humanoid bot, and robotaxi fleet, unless Tesla starts to take loans and buy bitcoin on leverage
