One of the FCA's stated goals in the UK is to keep us peasants poor because nobody wants peasants getting above their station (except for peasants, but we don't count because we're poor...).
The FCA equates poor with stupid because, as we all know, as soon as you have £250,000 or more (but not in your pension, folks...) your IQ, knowledge and experience jump up massively; I've always wondered whether a person with £249,999.99 is still stupid because that's the FCA's line in the sand, or whether dipping below £250,000 causes you to mentally crater for the same reason.
If I had >= £250,000 I would probably think this rule is stupid, but as I don't, I'm not clever enough to even conceive of questioning anything... .

@@jimmyscott7414to be able to buy and sell on Coinbase and other exchanges you have to answer some questions about your financial status for FCA guidelines. Basically by trial and error I realised to 'pass' you have to say that you have wealth more than £250k not including property.

Yes, sometimes it works out to do the opposite, especially when everyone is super excited about imminent pumps.
It seems that the dumps and pumps are always more extreme than the many expect. I am certainly in this category :).. 15 percent either way seems normal !
I believe the reason crabs, shrimp and sharks are selling is because some might need the money. The economy is starting to dry up due to high interest rates for a prolonged period.

There are a lot of traders that bet with leverage. The exchanges can see them and manipulate the market up or down to liquidate the players.
The best way to avoid manipulation in BTC is be a long term holder.

James I believe Balchunas Was saying 10 -15% of what Bitcoin Inflows are. Not that it will take away from BTC but that it wont do nearly as good as BTC etfs. I heard him on a podcast today he said clearly he does not believe eth etfs will make a splash at all actually. Anyway great video brother

Been following the etf flows pretty carefully. I have not seen a great correlation with inflows and bitcoin price. Yes price tends increase on high flow weeks but not always which makes me ask is the opposite true instead? High inflows on pump weeks.
If I'm correct, most of the ETFs have been buying via OTC type transactions instead of using spot market trading.
This does not influence price significantly.
What does often influence price is the narrative that ETF buying creates in the market.
It causes fomo and hype. These make people want to buy, and make holders more reluctantto sell. This double whammy can lead to a good pump in price.
That's at least what makes sense to me. There's probably more too it, though. 😅😅😅

Its hard to understand how people like you talk about ETF’s buying X number of BTC a day vs miners only producing X number of BTC a day and pretending like there ain’t 1.8 million BTC owned by thousands of people who are selling, will sell and as the price goes higher will overwhelm any ETF buyer.
Getting to 100k is possible but over a long period of time. Years not months.
