I’ve been wondering for a while whether the car has sensors for g force and bumps. If so perhaps during the failed speed bump park it got an unexpected bump and stops because that was an “unexpected” (during parking) bump.

Tesla has said that HW4 cars are using a HW3 emulator for FSD.

0:56 I'd put on the indicator or hazards so the car behind knows what's happening. :)

Does this car has USS or Vision only? You also titled 12.3.5 but in video said 12.3.4, which version is it?

Has nothing to do with hardware 4. It's if the car has USS sensors

FSD does great on parallel parking.
But FSD cannot handle *diagonal* parking spots. And they are everywhere.
Also, FSD cannot pull straight into a parking spot. Why the heck not?

They don't have front grille/bumper cameras, nor sensors so it's impossible for the car to "see" and can only guess from the windshield camera.

@@FranKyG70 FSD has been in beta testing for almost *four* *years* . And $40k Teslas don't have a simple sensor in the front bumper that is needed for parking? WHY NOT?

@@DerekDavis213 They don't need sensors. Vision only works fine and makes sense. And with the cybertruck they are putting front cameras on cars now. Newer revisions of their other models will surely get them too.
It's also not like it couldn't actually handle pulling in straight forward. They are probably not allowing it because of the possibility (however slight) that a small kid or animal could somehow end up in front of the car when the cameras on top no longer see them. Parked cars and static objects pose no issue, however.

@@FranKyG70 Vision Only does not work fine. It cannot see broken glass in the road, or potholes, or a pool of water in the right lane, just to give you a few examples.
Vision Only cannot even read common street signs, in broad daylight: ROAD CLOSED, DO NOT ENTER, DETOUR.
FSD v12 is still a clumsy simple minded Level 2 assistant. Nothing more.

@@DerekDavis213 You are saying that as if lidar cars are any better at it. We have multiple examples saying otherwise. Cruise was abysmal and Waymo has similar issues to FSD and isn't otherwise more capable despite the multiple sensor and cameras.

Literally any other car with any sort of auto park feature does a way better job than Tesla with HW3&USS. And I say this as a content Model Y LR owner. How many years has it been that autopark has been mostly comical and borderline dangerous? HW4 cars with the high res visualization seem to have little to no trouble - that needs to "trickle down" to the rest of the models.

HW4 should be no different from HW3 for FSD operation. According to Elon, while HW4 has much more capability, including hires cameras, for the time being both the computer and cameras are operating in HW3 emulated mode.
This is because HD4 will require its own training data eventually after they have perfected everything on HW3. Of course, when you are emulating something, there is always a chance it's not quite identical.
