Quite the silk purse from a sow's ear.
Thanks, it was well worth the effort IMHO
You saved this little guy's life bro
Yeah... or from a life in the box
Those subtle variations on the panel lines really gives the model a new dimension!
Yeah, the effects turned out better than anticipated TBH
Outstanding piece of work! The silk purse/sow's ear adage has already been used and is about as appropriate as it gets. Very entertaining 👏🏻👍🏻👌🏻
Thanks, the kit sat near 2 decades in the stash while I was waiting someone to make a better kit... turned out the experience gained during that time was enough to make somethong I actually like
Brilliant rescue job. I would have binned it and you turned it into a masterpiece!
Thanks mate!
Great model!
Tackling an AZ's He-162D right now, i know the feeling.
Thanks, sadly the boxart and quick glance at the sprues cannot tell the full picture of the kit.
This is model making at its finest. I always say the best part of modelling is coming up with solutions to problems. This gives it a personal touch like a signature .
Thank You!
Beautiful job as always, and you have inspired me to give my Hasegawa kit of this plane a go.🙂
Thanks, have fun with your kit 👍
Amazing job, had the same MiG but made by company Smer and man it was a nightmare, never finished it and it was used as a test plane for training with my airbrush instead. 👍👍
Yeah I know the feeling... if the model is not something that you must have in the collection sometimes it makes sense to terminate the misery :)
Beautiful build, my friend.
Thanks mate!
This is really amazing. I love the use of watercolor pencils, if I can get my hands on some I want to try as well!
They are available in modeling stores as well as art supply stores
I truly have to commend you. I could never build a model while wearing gloves. Thumbs up.
Thanks, it is a matter of habit I guess.
Greetings my friend, thst was a absolutely outstanding build, scale wise too small for me, I much prefer 1/48th scale, looking forward to your next video, best regards from Australia 👌👍👌👍👌👍
Thanks Les, I enjoy all scales... something cool in each of them :)
Nice job, I'm currently struggling with a KP 1/72 MiG 17 PF, I decided to scratch build air ducting for the nose air intakes. It's a battle but I'm determined to do it.
That's quite the task, have you decided where to put the nose weights?
I'm planning on using flattened lead split shot. I should be able to conform it to the shape of the fuselage and glue it inside over the nose gear.
beautiful model!
Thanks mate 👍
AZ... Always firmly positioned in the lower tier of the "Limited Edition" range. Which is sad, for they have a very interesting catalog.
Excellent craftmanship, Metodi. Well done.
Cheers.
Thanks mate 👍, I guess it makes no economic sense for the larger brands to produce the more obscure subjects.
Yes. That's true, @@MMScaleModels

Yes, it happens to all modelers. Trying to improve a bad model. I enjoy the challenge. You too! 👍
Yes a good challenge every now and then to keep us honest :)
@@MMScaleModels Haha, yes.👍
OPR is the key.
Look forward for Next Year's -21F-13 from Eduard.
If you build that, it will be a spectacle.
OPR is cool but I am not that much into it... I like to use all available techniques.
F-13 and hopefully BIS... they have such cool camo schemes in the BUL AF.
Very nice jet fighter MiG 17 besides the MiG 15 nice model jet aircraft.
It is a cool little jet indeed.
What a great model with your skills. Always a pleasure to see your videos
Thanks mate!
Beautiful work and painting
Thank you 😊
That was beautiful (wipes away a tear)
Thank You!
Glad I found this as I got a kit that was made in Ukraine that is a turd in need of some major polishing and hopefully this video will stop me from wanting to scream as I go. What's worse is it's not that hard to do a good resin pour as I have done it before.
That is beautiful workmanship on your behalf.
While I also think that almost no kit is unbuildable, however, there are some that require a huge amount of work, including moulding you own parts. I have had canopies that did not fit or left gaps and so I had to make my own canopies.
A 1970’s Airfix Cutty Sark kit had up to 3mm gaps in the hull joints, and deck to hull joint. Some parts were the wrong size. For instance the superstructure for mounting the whale boats was too wide for the deck and had to have a couple of mil cut out of it. You have to wonder if they ever did a test build of the kit. Yet I have had some people say that they had no problems with the same kit. I have no idea why. Were they different moulds?
On the Airfix HMS Victory the stern cabin windows do not line up with the gun decks, and then there are the fit issues with the deck and hull.
Having seen these issues I am sure there are kits out there that are beyond saving, but they are probably only antique kits.
I am no longer going to do any older kits, they are just not worth the effort.
Thanks mate! I can imagine how frustrating it is. I myself have a airfix kit recently repacked with nice box art and a nasty surprise in it... dating back in the 60s
analogovnet kit of analogovnet aircraft. The work is realy nice
Thanks mate 👍
The company doesn't make bad models especially now that it has a better level...but it's true these are older moldings
true, I assembled it many years ago and it was a nightmare
I haven't built any other kit from them so I cannot say... I hope they have improved.
What has wheels and flies but it isn't an aircraft?
A Garbage truck
😄
Looks a nice model now. Good job!
Thanks mate!
Very nice job, this was a less know version of this fighter, most modelers generally prefer building North Vietnam 's or Arab versions of it, being more famous and more painting options.
Thank mate!
Fantastic job
Thanks mate!
Very nice!
Thank you 😊
Amazing work and such a lovable subject! If not a secret, how much time did you spend on this project?
Thanks You, about month and a halve with few other projects on the bench.
I've built many az kits, as they come from the box, without any additions, and they didn't seem ugly at all
I don't know about other AZ kits... this one was bad
@@MMScaleModels it is obvious that everyone speaks for their own personal opinion, but in my experience of about 40 years of building kits this is a more than decent model, have you ever seen the smer kits or the old zvezda kits or the ancient frog kits sold in sachets ? I built those too 😅
Lovely job MM but please stop making me jealous
Nah, I insist 😄
Wooow, what a masterpiece from such kit. Man, you did amazing job, I love how the final model looks.
And nice video, please what camera do you use? It has nice picture. What software do you use for editing your videos?
Keep going, your vids are amazing, I love them.
Thanks, I was using my phone for this video - galaxy s9
Quite beautiful
Thanks mate!
Incrível! 👏Ficou muito perfeito! Muito lindo!🌟
Thank You!
Did you apply gloss varnish before putting decals? Or it isn't necessary due to the metal coat finish?
Yes, I did. However the sealant I am using is no longer in production. Stronger decal solutions may affect raw metalizer.
I built the Let L-200 Morava from RZ-models, the kit was a mess fitting wise, lots of work, but to be honest i enjoyed the challenge :D
Great job!
Thanks mate !
incredible, is there no problem with applying an enamel panel wash over the lacquer metallic coat? i was told at my local store that any weathering should be applied with products of a different base than the previous costs (for example if the main coats are acrylic, weathering should be enamel, and viceversa).
i’m not too clear yet on how lacquer can interact with other types of paints and varnishes, which i learned also must be based on the same solvent as the paint you’re applying it on, so acrylic or water based paint coats have to be sealed with an acrylic or water based varnish.
i’m having a blast getting into the hobby but this part is very confusing lol
Thanks, I sealed the metalizer paints. However the sealant is also lacquer. Different products react differently. You have to try. Generally lacquer paints are resistant to enamel... to some extent.
Professional 👍
Thank You!
How to turn an ugly duckling into a swan. Very nice job sir, as always.
Thank You very much!
