The problem I always have with painting guns is once I have done one, I immediately wanna do it again and then end up going from a full black loadout to everything just looks like a bush :D
I personally just get ghillie wraps for my guns if i want to blend in. Nothing inherently wrong with painting, but i like options. Painting a gun permanently locks you to that look. Wraps or ghillie wraps allow multiple different looks for your gun without forcing you to stick with just one.
painting a gun does NOT permanently lock you to that look. you can repaint guns. god invented sandpaper for a reason. there's also steel wool, and whatnot.
A note to anyone doing this, please wear protective breathing equipment and safety glasses, make sure your workspace is well ventilated. Paint particles drying in your lungs or on your eyes is not something you'd like. Some great info in the video but the fact they're spraying inside without protective glasses or mask is very worrying.
Reminded me of the 3 hours I spent doing a WWII panzer camo paint job on my old AK in 2016 - (turned out really good though and still is mostly intact to this day)

the part where they say, paint outside, but not in a place where airsoft guns are not allowed. this is invaluable information. this is a funny coincidence, but i was being dumb and painting in my front yard; my aps guardian, and an off duty cop (who was coming home from and airsoft game) stopped me and stuff got real. after he realized it was a replica, he told me he was coming back from an airsoft game and he had a custom painted replica in his trunk. just a fun story i wanted to share with yall
Yea I live in an apartment complex so I can’t really do this outside here. I’ll just do it in my parent’s backyard. I imagine it’s much harder for people outside the US where firearms themselves are more restricted so getting confused with a replica could get you in much more trouble.

You are not allowed to deface your weapon in the British military, and what if you quickly change terrain, your weapon would stand out like a sore thumb, that’s why scrim net is used to aid camouflage, and this can be changed in an instant.

i did my paintjob on a sse18. not camo. but "colorful fun videogame" style. and i pretty much liked this method and i put clearcoat over it for durability. i really hope it will hold a little and wont get destroyed completely. i dont mind if it looks used one day tho. thats fine. but no chipping is all i pray for xd. i let that stuff now dry for 2 days. my tracer somehow survived. im not good in stuff like this. but it turned out quite unique. i did only paint the metallic parts. i did not want to paint the pistol grip. maybe later, with less "effort" because it will get grippy gripped out and worn on that part quite fast i think and wouldve been wasted "paint". maybe in a few days i will paint it because i dont care anymore. im just super cautious because i dont want to destroy/brake anything

Yes any decent matte or flat blacks browns, greens and tans try not to spend a fortune I just spend $65 in paints and I can do a few builds so remember to spend more time then money.

I bet playing airsoft in like a thunder storm would look cool on cam another banger though Could this same technique work with a lmg I’m getting a lmg for a first airsoft gun and it would look sick wrapped or painted and hope your stock is available soon my dad is tryna order from you
LMGs are extremely useless in Airsoft. When people see an LMG they think, "That guys is a major threat, we need to kill him ASAP." When in reality, your LMG shoots slower and less accurately than an M4. It is also large and cumbersome. They are fun to use sure, but for a first gun, a pistol or AEG is the way to go. Unless you LIKE being a slow BB sponge.
ontop of stepping on a mag, you can now flick paint at a fully assembled rifle and if you jam it up due to paint build up since this is showed here by nov its also covered by the 25 year warranty? I really like what you guys have done for the sniping community but really confused with the recent destructive advice.

You don’t paint your weapons in the military, you cover them with scrim net for camouflage.
It has been done during Iraq, painting your gun is the OG way
