Thank you for sharing your ideas. I’m a retired dust / fume extraction engineer whose hobby is woodworking. I have just purchased a diode laser recently but have not used it yet. I am learning Lightburn and researching on enclosures for the unit and happened to come across your video. One of my main considerations was to concentrate the air extraction where it would be needed rather than just generally ventilating the enclosure. And your method fits what I’m looking for. My goal is to provide a downdraught inside the enclosure but to provide large enough openings to reduce the back pressure on the extraction fan. You have given me food for thought, thank you.
I bought the ATOMSTACK A20 Pro Laser Engraver and your videos have helped me dial it in. Still a large learning curve with Lightburn but I'm getting there. Doing a lot of ceramic tile engraving with Titanium Dioxide. Had a big order for a biker poker run. Made over 300 bucks doing some work for them. Keep up the good tutorials.
I'm hoping to receive the atomstack a 70 max sometime in July. I am currently designing an enclosure for it.I plan to incorporate much of what I have learned from your many videos.thank you so much.
Great ideas for an enclosure. I plan on using a large kitchen cabinet as a start. I like the down draft idea. It would be an interesting video on how you clean that honeycomb. Would love to see some ideas. Thanks again.
OK, Master Clack - first off, your video "Considerations when building a diode laser enclosure " is Perfect for what I need today as I am going forward building an enclosure for my new Falcon 2. Not only am I building an enclosure but I am also adding more ventilation - almost 300 cfm - as well as connecting to my air compressor. My question today is at time stamp 5:38 you were showing us the material BELOW the honeycomb that has the welding magnets spacing the Honeycomb. What is that material??? Thanks for your time. Lowell
I'm looking to buy a laser engraver early 2025, it will be my 1st. I do woodworking and would like to add some customization with the laser. My budget is in the $700 to $800 range. I live in the Huntsville area, good to see you're from Alabama also. Would you have any suggestions?
Thank you for sharing. Great enclosure for a Laser. Love the second one also. Do you use a charcoal filter or any other in the vacuum system? Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
JimEnic new to this laser thing. don't have one yet but researching to see what i want. Do you have a video on how you build your down draft system? I think that is an awesome idea ! great video ! thanks
@@TheClackShack sorry to bother you. In one of your videos I thought you said you used a small shop vac to suck the smoke out of enclosure and then do you vent it outside ? Or do you use one of those exhaust fans ?
Hello Sir, I have the Xtool D1 Pro with extended rails. I'd like to know do you have a video with the bed being raised and the camera? I want to make your enclosed box for mine. Thank you so much for your time.
I am planning on finally building my xtool d1 20 watt extended enclosure. This video is boss, thanks for making it. Where do you get the rigid black hose for the air assist? Mike

It is an aluminum sheet that came with the honeycomb
Am about to extend my Atomstack A30 and need to build a new enclosure similar to your second enclosure there with the gas rams.
I use springs for closure.

For that budget, you are gonna wanna look at 20 watt or lower machines. Atomstack, Acmer and Longer are good brands in that range.

No, I live in a very rural area and my shop is far from other people. Just vent outside. I do stay away from known hazardous materials.
When we build an enclosure like that, do we need the Vintauri's Workshop sticker for the inside, too?
Good stuff, buddy good information
If he visits your shop. He will stick them everywhere...
If Steve stops by your shop, he sticks them everywhere..

Just pull the air from underneath the work area.

@@jimnichols1155 I have a vacuum but recommend fans
Great Chanel, How often do you clean your honeycomb ? Thank you for taking the time
When it gets covered in crud.

This is the most detailed that I have. Basic drawings are on my website.
How big is the enclosure that has the bed adjustment. How did you make it so the bed adjusts. Love the content.
There is a link to that build video in the description. I didn’t want to get too far into it on this one.
Your enclosures are great. Do you use fire resistant paint inside?
No, I stay with my machines. I have never had any issues with flames
Can you provide a link to where you get the safety window material. Thanks for sharing. Great video.

Cool

Amazon, amzn.to/3K9xKay. Your welcome, thanks for watching
Will the down draft work for just engraving?
It works better all around. Cleaner module
if i used a vacumn cleaner underneath do i need to vent it outside also and if so how please
Yes, I have moved over to 4 or 6 inch fans because they are much quieter. All venting needs to go outside.
Vintauri 1.5 staking in the background. Lol
He is always lurking... lol
I love the comment that your "not building a submarine" mostly because my primary occupation is building submarines!
It was the best thing I could think of… lol. Cool job
Consideration #1: fireproof material since this thing is literally intended to burn things, particularly wood.
The laser area is metal.
