Great job man!! Would you mind sending me the plans in standard size measurements? I wouldn’t love to make one for myself just like this. It would work out perfectly.
Grass is looking good! What is it with you and oversized fans? It seems we learnt nothing from the Room Air Filter debacle 🤣 Mate that is a cracking build. Is there a film you can buy to stick to the acrylic that is laser rated? Would be great to be able to ditch the sunnies in the shop. I think Algo have got great value from this content deal.
Well better to be safe than sorry. As for a film, I'm not sure, I've not seen any that are, but it's worth an investigation (if you know any). As for Algo, I think I've been lucky as well!
@@barberspaddockwoodworking short answer is yes, laser film is a thing. Plenty on google, finding an affordable roll shipped to Australia may be another story ;)
Such a clean look! Nicely done mate! I have to say, I completely disagree with your assembly method. The point of a glue up is to get the blood pumping and stress levels to the max 🤣🤣🤣 Nicely done mate!
What you're after here is 'Formply'. Formply is a manufactured plywood with a resin film surface as you see. It's generally used in concrete forming (thus the name) but makes for a great workshop building material. It's readily available here in Aus through our big box stores. I've heard that it doesn't really exist in many places like the US, but I wager it does, just under perhaps a different name!
Thank you for sharing it's a nice build... But... It's a comment on laser security and not a crtisism, but you should put covers on those windows, maybe rolling ones for checking when you need with your glasses on, but it give the illusion you're safe from optical danger but that's not the case (especially for those of your family or coworkers who don't know if the laser is on) . Always put your glass on, and cover those windows when you don't need to see. I work in a laser thingy environment and issues can happen.. Stay safe! And again, that's a nice build
100% correct and a good thing to highlight again to everyone. I do mention in the video that this will not remove the necessity to put on my safety glasses when using the laser that's very important. We have some ground rules in the house about coming into the workshop when I'm in it so everyone is very very aware that when I have the sign up, don't come into the shop. DANGER!
Ideally, yes. But the cost of glass that is Class 4 rated would be 5 x the price that I spent on the entire cost of the enclosure to build. Simply tinting the window with a film does not make it Class 4 either, so there is little point unless you're going to splurge on Class 4 glass. I will in time spend that money, but in the meantime, it's simple enough to pop on some glasses for safety.

Love the build, thanks! Being on a trolley is something I need.
nice job like the plywood for shop project
Love it. I especially appreciate your careful and detailed camera work in this video.
Thank you very much!
Far out mate! You are killing it. Your precisions make me need to shower in the dark 😂 I love your channel. Sorry I’m late to this one
I only posted it today chief, I'm surprised you're this fast. :P
great build mate! That fume extraction is very nice! Whoever said size doesnt matter, was clearly lying!
Ha thanks friend!
Well done mate. What a great cabinet and video. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks 👍
Nicely made! So clean and slick! And man, those castors look the goods, heavy duty for sure, cheers for the link will check them out!
Super heavy duty, I've used them a bunch of times now, so can vouch that they are pretty good.

Thanks for your advice during the development phase!
Great video. How is the plywood that you use spelled? Can you share your source? Thanks.

Is the enclosure platform of which the engrave sits apron, 24x24 inches?
810mm x 760mm which is about 32" x 30" give or take.
You know those stickers they put on products for the stores, peel off right???
I had no idea!
Yes just use a hairdryer or heat gun and it will peel really off.
Isn't the screen supposed to be tinted, to stop the laser light?
