FAMAE's are awesome rifles. This is the 3rd one I have owned in .308. I finally opted for the Elite model with a 5/8x24 threaded barrel and factory tan finish. In my opinion this rifle is now overpriced relative to the competition given the large .308 black rifle market in Canada, but it is truly a classic rifle and a pleasure to own, handle and shoot. I also have a 543, which is a SBR version of 540 (the .223/556 equivalent of the 542). FAMAE also made their own SMG, that was patterned off of this platform (Chilean licenced the rights to domestically produce the Sig SG54X series), and appears to be somewhat inspired by the HK MP5 family.
The rifle featured is a FAMAE SG 542-1 ERE Elite and is legal to own in Canada with a PAL. Being a non-restricted firearm, it is legal for me to discharge on the rural private property this was filmed on.

I can’t find the GS Design TH-cam video on the trigger? I also could not find it on his website was it special order ? Have seen any other place that has the folding stock adapters as csc is sold out

I recently grabbed a tan famae 540, my handguard is looking the same as the one on this rifle - its sitting far back of the gas block. Looks like it could pop right out. I noticed a rifle on reddit has a retainer for the handguard around the gas block area. I'm wondering if some parts got lost.
