    Do you ever find the open receiver/lack of a dust cover around charging handle a potential for malfunction with buildup of dust and such? Cheers from Ontario

    • @Arkeo36
      @Arkeo36 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven't encountered problem related to dust and debris with mine (US model) since I bought it in late 2017. The only real improvement that the rifle needs is some kind of sliding cover for the charging handle slot like the IWI Ace or FNC have. The charging handle being quick-swappable used to cause problems with the old style handle, but that was largely improved by the second type, which is the one you guys get in Canada. All in all mine has been a fantastically reliable rifle and pretty darn accurate with crappy ammo and really accurate with good ammo.

      big chilote I would say if you want a rifle that’s going to keep out dust and dirt a little easier go for the ace galil. If you want a more accurate rifle that shoots the 7.62x39 go for the m10x-z. Both are plenty reliable.

    This looks like a very good option for military rifle. It needs some tinkering and optimisation, but it looks very simple, robust and efficient at it's job. And not easy to break, which is important for army grunt-folk...

      I have 6 different AR’s from a 20” build, 18” build, 16” build, 13.9” build, and a 7.5” build all chambered in .223/5.56 as well as a 7.5” build in 300 AAC Blackout and all are fun to shoot but nothing is more fun then my M10X-Z. Mine has the 16.5” barrel and it’s so much fun to shoot. Not sure what the guy above me is talking about or if he has ever shot one before but it’s fun to slap a red dot on it and go plinking up to 100 yards but is a lot more fun to slap my rifle scope on it and reach out to 300-500 yards. Especially when you toss out a tv stuffed with 15 pounds of Tannerite at 275 yards and blow it sky high. I absolutely love my M10X. It’s a solid rifle and very reliable. Best part about it is that during the ammo surge you can still find 7.62x39 for a lot cheaper and easier then .223/5.56 and hit the range when you want with it. The M10X will smoke any 7.62x39 AR build out there hands down. Also it’s not a $2000 rifle, maybe Canadian but I found mine about a month or so ago here in the US for $1700 shipped and that was with $550-$600 in optics(Holosun 510c and a Primary Arms with a ACSS raptor reticle) with it

      @@deleterious_tactical_7024 in Canada we can only get 18.6" Barrel. It's cheaply manufactured and stove pipes are a regular occurrence. I've had and sold myn already. I mean just look at the finish on them lol. The only thing it's really got going for it is that it shoots a 762 round. If i lived in the states id just get a quality ak. No point in having m10 unless u wanted some dmr type rifle. Trigger was good but that was because it had their "DMR" trigger

    How do you know which gen is the rifle? I'm really interested but I have seen a lot of people complaining about the rifle not being super reliable and some having mag issues. They are mostly from 2 years ago so I hope most of the issues have been fixed.

      Idk how man M10X the dude above me has shot but mine has shot fine. I got mine about a month ago and have logged in 750 rounds so far, 500 of those where the first time out to season my barrel and see how she shot. It’s been an awesome rifle and enjoy shooting it more then all my AR builds. It’s almost as fun as shooting my Scorpion Evo3 Micro but nothing can beat that but my M10X is a close second. It’s an awesome rifle. I switch out my red dot when shooting at 50-100 yards then slap on my rifle scope and have reached out to 500 yards with my M10X. Nothing shit about the one I bought.

    So this is like an “indirect” impingement system, that is to say that the gas impinges on a piston, which then impinges on a bolt carrier.

    • @jasonanderson2403
      @jasonanderson2403 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      M+M says it's a long stroke gas system but it's actually a short stroke like an SKS or VZ 58

    • @mutilator97
      @mutilator97 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I can understand calling it a long stroke, since the piston is almost directly connected to the bolt via the charging handle. It's not like the piston is being pushed by gas, then pushing on the (seperate) bolt carrier.

    It's strange how some guns look really great with more of a curved magazine and other it just doesn't look as suitable. I think this rifle would look better with an AR style magazine....or even a M1A , or FAL style mag

    DO NOT BUY THIS GUN! I live in AZ and just recently purchased one of these rifles because I was looking for an AK with some character. This caught my eye in my local gun shop so I picked it up and loved the way it felt in my hands. Fast forward to a few days later when testing it for the first time, I had issue after issue. Failure to feed, double feeding, bolt locking up, you name it. When I took it back to the gun shop they told me it is a 8-10 week turn around period for the gun to be shipped back to the manufacturer and even then they might not be able to fix the issue. I don’t know about you but if I’m buying this as a means to protect myself and my family, it will do nothing but let you down when you need it the most. Save yourself the hassle, trust me it’s not worth it
