    I think it's a sign Scott: first, your air drill attempts to turn itself into a sail-powered unit. Then, the good Lord provides you with a boat. If pairs of animals start showing up anytime soon, let me suggest you take out some high moisture insurance for this year's crop.

    When you switch engines to something different or when over fuelling the engine there always seem to be problems that go along with it. When installing an N 14 into a tractor without previous electronic engine there was a small panel with some switches etc. And a small wiring harness. There is an outfit in Phoenix that makes harnesses for any electronic engine, saves you 600 ft or whatever you used to make the transformation. Retired now just got a KT 450 running that hasn’t been run for about 30 years, forgot how good those engines run, a unique sound. Repaired and overhauled many KTA engines. Always enjoyed it. Was a hobby more than work. Happy Farming

    Probably not much help to you guys now that you’re only running one of the flexicoil carts, but we ran one of those carts for a long time. We found the best way to unplug the manifold when it plugged up was a shop vac with a very long hose. Start the vac and shove the hose through the manifold. Could clear the manifold out in like 30 seconds. Can’t remember what the problem was but we had some serious plugging issues with that cart one year so got really good at getting it un plugged

    Welkers good on you for standardizing the majority of your engines, the ability swap,canabilize and scavenge parts is awesome. Just a suggestion, budget for a couple n14 engine blocks complete with ecm modules and save that malfunctioning ecm it can be repaired, it sounds as though you have a bad soder ,transistor or some such problem Goin to fuel pump pins in ecm, there are people who can repair ecm's look in to it.

    Thanks for the interesting video. Appreciate your time to do this for us so we can follow along. The ECM issue you got fixed. Good thoughts to exchange with another one. But now your truck is down. ECM’s are not cheap I know. Have bought several. You might be able to get a rebuilt one and save a few dollars. Just a thought. Always something on a farm. Sounds like your weather is causing problems with your sprayer. Just a little bit of ice can cause a sprayer nozzle to not function, they are so touchy. Hope it warms some for you for better spraying on the fields. Where would a canoe come from in one of your wide open fields?????????? Suppose the wind had it???? You all hang in there. You are getting it done bit by bit. Thought you had the sprayer trailer ready to go? Some

  • @Dropbear237
    @Dropbear237 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    We find all sorts of things in the cane paddocks at home here in Australia, we live next to the main highway we get trailer and truck wheels, we had a car once. But my brother in-law's oldest brother was cutting cane on another farm last year next to a highway and he had a whole Yamaha road bike stuck in the mouth of the harvester, it took them a while to get it out they had to pull it out with a tractor.
    Before anyone asks how do you not see something like that when you only cut 1 row at a time. Some cane can be so dense and also lay over you sometimes can't even see the row you just cut, and also the harvester operator and haulout driver have to look back a lot so things can be missed very easily. Haulouts get filled while reversing sometimes as well so they can't see whats in front of the harvester.

    I have to applaud you on the ECM very good job. How many acres do you guys do I plant 6,800 and bale hay on 2,200 with 300 head. I’m surprised you don’t have a bigger air drill I run a Bourgault 84 foot with a 1,350 bushel cart behind a 620 Steiger the dual do much better for traction then the quadtacs. Used to run axial flow combines like you guys but I just recently went to Lexions in my opinion I think they are a better combine then axial flows now but that’s just me everything works great for whoever wants it except New Holland haha.
