Scott, your progress with your arm is fantastic, and your words are right on point. I had a reverse shoulder replacement on Nov. 10 last year and I remember sitting at my desk watching "Welker Farms" with my arm strapped to my chest and going No! No! NO!! when I saw about your injury. Congratulations on your recovery so far, you know that a huge part of how well we recover is our attitude and how much effort you put into your physical therapy. Keep on doing. Life is good, thank you all for sharing with us.
my late grandfather was an aero engine machanic for the canadian air force in the 50's, he was baby sittiing me when i was 6 or 7 (2008iwh) and a plane flew overhead and imediatly his face was pressed up against the window trying to see it saying "i recognize those merlin engines anywhere!" thankyou for reminding me of that memory :)
I thank God for a family like yours! To publicly acknowledge your faith is fantastic! Always push forward and have faith, give it all you got! Yup, God will bless us! Born and raised on a farm in NW Minnesota, it was green though. OTR Truck driver for roughly 2.25 million miles and no accidents or tickets. Would love to drive your International! Also would love to meet your family and operate some of your equipment! My prayers for good planting conditions etc. May God Bless you all!
It's great that a young man has spontaneous thoughts and feelings. He isn't afraid to speak them out loud. That's why it's so important that we never let others tells us what to say or how to say it. It is your right to share your feelings. Good for Scott. He is helping a lot of people. God bless America.
Nick, I’ve been watching for nearly 3 yrs. Part of what keeps me, besides the full Welker families, is your cinematography. The image of the Air drill, American flag proudly rampant, planting an American field, moved me to tears.
ALSO - Iam super stoked for the series 1 to get its day in the shop. You mentioned how much work your farm has already done to it over the years, but it needs the "new style" Welker Farms treatment. like the others. Your more modern day retrofits and rebuilds are all so good, and I just know this series 1 will be updated to look classic, but with a more "modern factory fresh" touch.
Confidence.... You say. I work at a heavy duty truck and hydraulic shop. Then my boss at come with a customer with a new and unique problem/task on a truck, crane or anything else. Then he ask me, "Are we up to solve that problem?" Then I tell him "That I never have tried before, so yes I can do it." Some customers looks very confused at me and some smile and then say, "someone has also read Pippi Longstocking aloud to you as a child". Because it is quote from one of the her stories and a good one have on your mind through you life. Keep up the good work guys and all the best to you from little Denmark.
Legarms, great attitude! Your right maybe the horrible injury helps prevent you, your brother, or father from getting something even more serious. Everything does happens for a reason.
What a blessing...6 months...thank you Scott for the update on your arm...and giving glory to God. Welker men, you are encouragers...thank you. I look forward to each well done video.
Scott, please pray for those of us who have lost all self confidence. Unfortunately, it's not always easy or possible to get that back without help. So prayers and continued encouragement are much appreciated. God bless and thank you for sharing.
Thank you all at Welker Farms for your collective positive outlook and demonstrated caring nature towards others. It is what we are supposed to do, God bless.
Scott, you are just so positive man. I get you all probably inflate your natural inclinations ( like positivity) on camera... I think all of us would if we were doing the same type of thing ( our jobs, but on youtube) anyways that being said, Its amazing how seemingly fast you bounced back from that injury. I remember watching that episode with my jaw on the floor, and trying to imagine just how crappy that was not only for you but everyone around you that cares about you. Iam not the religious type, but man... that situation could have been so much worse. Glad its in the past now and youve gotten so much of your strength and happiness back.
It's good to see all the Welkers getting things done on the farm. Scott, it's good to see you doing so well after only 6 months. Nick, you'll get a ride in that plane, I'm sure. Dad, thanks for teaching your family that even when making mistakes, your still learning.
A guy had a big bud here in south East Washington for fumigation for potatoes and my grandpa as a side gig was a mechanic Ian’s worked on it occasionally and took me along. Coolest tractor ever.
Snow - mother nature doesn't want to relent her winter theme yet. Might snow here Tuesday - not much but still means it's cool / cold. We are always learning - never stop learning. Sometimes we do it well - other times we make mistakes which we learn from. Take care - be safe. I hope the family and you are doing well. God Bless Tom (Spin)
Really glad you came out from that Bud drawbar accident in such good shape. Seen lots of men ruined for physical work for the rest of their lives with a serious accident like that.
Absolutely nothing like the sweet music of a Merlin V-12, nor the lines of a Mustang. Like your first love you will never forget your first Mustang.................or Big Bud
@@Mishn0 it’s a British engine made for the Spitfire and mass produced in the States. And used in the Mustang because its a better engine than originally used in it.
Love the videos guys and as Leg Arms said, stay safe! Great history lesson of Wagners and Big Buds ... pretty cool that the 435 is potentially #3. Hope tractor issues are resolved quickly guys. Prayers continue for your family and the farm. And I can't wait to watch you flying in that beautiful plane Nick!!! And love "Scott's Corner" of advice and wisdom. Keep Moving Forward Confidently.
Man!! Leg arms is getting deep with the talking at the moment. It’s great seeing the water tanks and the mix mate all up and running!! Well done Nick all on your own too. Rob from the 🇬🇧🚜
Hey Nick, I just spent a week at Sun & Fun air show in Lakeland Fl. wish you could have been here to enjoy the fly in, I know, farm first and fun when time permits. Oh well maybe another time. God bless.
Congratulations Nick on getting a spray trailer completed with the new tanks and the mixer pump and everything on it so sound like you're ready to rock and roll and get the spraying
Scott I love your inspirational commentaries I would however like to point out that mistakes are not failures mistakes are opportunities to educate yourself and learn thank you for your thoughts
I remember seeing my first big bud. Back in 2003 I seen it just out side of Shelby MT crossing over the i15 on an over pass. I was just a kid then but there is a good chance it was a Welker Bud. I was a kid then but was a big deal at the time. Lol. Safe seeding guys. We are getting close to starting in Saskatchewan. 👍
As somebody that grew up on a farm with farm family and now have spent working in aviation for over 40 years, I completely understand. Having worked on everything from a Farmall F-12, to old warbirds and now business jets, I can tell you that when on a tractor, you always look up and when working on aircraft, hearing an old tractor makes you take notice as well. Love your videos, keep them coming.
Thanks for the video. Lots of variety in this one. Sorry your case IH is down. Could be a lot of things. Probably will have to come apart. Wow. Never fails when you need it. Glad you had the older big bud to pull the roller. It does the job for sure. Happy for you Scott that you got the water trailer done. Great job. No leaks. Ya!!! You will put it to good use. Weather is clearing. You all will be back to seeding. Go get em guys. You all take care. God watch over you all. Thanks for your time. Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Amazing how 6 months have gone by since Leg Arms mishap with the Big Bud's drawbar! You've made tremendous progress in the recovery, and still going strong, even if your right arm will never be the same again. At least you kept it on. Sure would not want to think of the renaming of Leg Arms to just Leg Arm.
Those old planes are awesome thanks for sharing everything with us praying for you guys to get through spring planting without having any problems god bless everyone
Bob every time I see snow, I find it hard to believe you actually sow wheat barley in Montana, I guess our area here in Australia we sow in mid May all being well that's if we get good Autumn rain, I never saw real snow till I went to Texas it was Cherokee Texas back in 1972 I was at the Cherokee Red Brahman Ranch, Mr Tom Dean & his wife had taken us to the Famous Harry Dept Store San Saba where you buy typical western Men,s Clothing, you know it rained all the way to San Saba , then on the way back it was snowing by next morning it had over a foot of snow on the ground, never seen any thing like, all I know it was very cold to compare where I come from, at home it was around 34c , Great video as usual Bob, you & the boys do a fantastic job, and those Big Buds, regards Trevor.W.Bacelli.Biloela Qld Australia.
Look like you got snow bummer we're supposed to get snow on the 20th I know right anyway Nick looks like you're working hard so is your father and leg arms you guys have a good day God bless🙏🚜
Sad sight to see the old reliable Magnum on the rope, but seeing that old Bud take over was pretty great. Hope you can get the 7140 going again when you have time.
Hey Scott, don't worry about all the new parts fitted to the Bud, it's still the same Bud. Look up the English sitcom Only Fools And Horses. In it, Trigger, one of the characters, wins an award for owning the same broom for 20 years. He says that it's had 17 new heads and 14 new handles, but it is still the same broom. 😂
Remember Scott, life is full of challenges, taking on the ones that really matter, whether accomplishing or failing, are what makes us human. Learning from both is what helps us "grow". When we get older the challenges don't stop, they kinda get smaller in scope but bigger to accomplish. Thanks for the work you guys do and sharing with the rest of us! AMERICA!
Really enjoy Scott's Thotts. You need to put a Welkers Farm Stick on the Big Bud 435 and the John Deere Wheel loader. Be proud of your heritage and show it off.
Leg arms you give such good advice .Oh how I need this today. Love all you guys there, love you with the love of the Lord, stay safe and God really bless you.
You may want to support the fittings coming out of the tanks in the trailer. You can just us boards. I’ve seen plumbing failures from the heavy valves bouncing going down the road.
We are on the route between Headcorn Aerodrome and the Battle of Britain memorial near Dover so especially in the summer we often get treated to acrobatics of a Spitfire overhead there is something special about the sound of that Merlin though. After seeing slow the Dakotas fly though there had got to be something special with the pilots who flew those multiple times during Normandy as well as the glider pilots they towed back and forth.
Wow 6 months and you all apparent use back. Hard to believe how time flies. That bud history is cool. I know my JD 520 is getting ready to get her engine freshened up and i think this is her 2nd overhaul. She needs more loving probably get the rockshaft fixed also as it leaks down
Glad you guys are getting a decent start at Farming. We haven't turned a wheel yet out in the fields in central Minnesota yet. I doubt if millennialfarmer has either. Glad you are all fairly healthy and happy. Tip my hat to Legarms i year Anniversary. He's one lucky dude. He should consider buying a lotto ticket when the jackpot pushes a billion dollars lol. Scott Welker - philosopher extraordinaire! God bless and good luck Welker Family!
I was thinking the same thing. It apparently is a family trait.
Maybe its walking in his fathers footsteps for puns, Scott just does philosophy instead.

Loader philosophy with Leg Arms. Being humble is a great character trait. Leg Arms, thank-you for being you.
Now that is absolutely correct Scott what you're talking about your arm and the big bud you get to be aware of your surroundings at all times
Happy 6 month's anniversary LegArms. But serieously happy that you still have a function arm ,and the Bud is still in one piece.
