Please do answer the question someone posed more than a year ago: The first step here is to fold the fabric right sides together and sew across the top. Is the 15 inch side the top or the 16 inch side the top? It may seem like a trivia question but you didn’t have us cut a 15 inch square. You went to the trouble of making one side an inch longer. many thanks for clarifying, and many thanks for providing an otherwise very helpful video.
I have been looking for a video like this for so long and you kept your directions simple though you could speak a little louder I could barely hear you.

What’s the best fabric shape to buy for this? (A yard, far quarter, etc) I want to make a bunch of these but don’t want a ton of scraps left over

Yes the only fabric that would be different is fabric with a stretch
