Thank you so much for making this guide. I never comment here on YT, but this is literally the best guide ever on anything - so simple and easy to get going. Really happy I found you! Can't wait to see all of your videos :) Wishing you a lovely day. Best wishes from Denmark!
Greetings from South Africa ...I have a pet peeve when videos say simple and easy then they're not .... ma'am you were not lying this is easy thank you so very much!!
Really easy to follow tutorial! Thanks. I just made two... Did not have any thick fabric to ise as inner layer so made them without it, still turned out well.
this is late, but without the inner layer does it lay on the head more like a bandana? i want more of a bandeau type style headband so im debating on using the inner layer or not
the headband is beautiful and the instructions perfect. Every little girl in the second grade of my granddaugter class is getting one. THANKS A MILLION.
Just finished making mine! Thank you so much! At first I was worried cause there was no voice over and I'm a visual/auditory learner, so I was flipping out, but it was way to follow! Usually when someone doesn't do a voice over they do something really quickly and I have to rewatch that one clip again like 100 times in order to get it right. Thank you for this easy tutorial!!!😊👍
So looks easy and I am definitely making some but I have a few requests. Make the printing for the sizes darker!! The white was hard to read and I had to keep rewinding to see it so I could write it down, also it put me to sleep. The music was relaxing me and with no voice to say the steps it was a little tricky to stay with it, other wise I like the project
Wow! Lovely, beautiful, creative and simple at the same time! Love this hair band.. just a small doubt.. what's the material u used for the flat part of the band?
Your directions worked nicely! Since the headband was for a role in Gatsby, I made both the front and back of the bands 2 1/2” in width. Your directions came at a good time as the play is in a couple of weeks.
Hi I love your ideas to stich a bandana with scrap fabric if you could please give me an idea for how to make a elastic wide bandana it could help me alot because my front head and both earsides are patchy bald after my radiotherapy after my twice major brain tumour surgery and I also went for radiotherapy for a month in 2005 and 2006 past 16 years I'm wearing bandana to cover my patchy baldness if I went out I feel hard to get to buy those bandana in elastic wide and I want the fabric to be abit cool because I'm allergic to other fabrics if I wore it in hot days sweating too please give me a idea if you could and it also very expensive 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😭😭😭
@@Anjurisa I did have one question , I was confused about the measurements for the fabric that the elastic goes in. 3×16 7.5×40 Forgive me if tahs a dumb question 😭
My sewing needles keep breaking on the elastic and folded end parts. What tension, stitch, and stitch width setting do you use? And thread? Thank you in advance! I can’t for the life of me figure it out
Measure their head. The length of the second piece is the head circumference minus the 20 cm / 8 inches of the elastic in the first. I think this could work for a small head as well.
It would be very helpful to know the depth of your seam allowance - standard 5/8? Or is it 1/4? Or 1/2"? It would also be helpful to know the width of your elastic; I see that the length is 8", but how wide is your elastic? 1/4"? 1/2"? I could not find any of this information in your description. Thank you.

Just what I was looking for. Thanks
Was that foam or felt that you inserted in the head band??
It was felt.
A very stiff and thick interfacing would also work

Very inspiring. Always healthy !
You're the best!! I wanted to make some for my sister's locs as a xmas gift!
2:24 what is that square of fabric made of? Is it just regular fabric? It looks kinda like foam.
It is called felt, it is used to give the band shape.
Want to test this. Wondering about thicker fabric, how much thicker should it be?
thank you gagawa ako nya salamat sa pag turo napakadali at malinaw na malinaw..♥️♥️♥️
I am new to the sewing and making of headbands bows etc and have found your channel to be super easy to follow so wanted to say thank you so much.

Merci pour cette vidéo. Ce serait possible d'avoir les bonnes mesures pour la partie du bandeau s'il vous plait ?
So cute! Thank you
Wow! Lovely, beautiful, creative and simple at the same time! Love this hair band.. just a small doubt.. what's the material u used for the flat part of the band?
Hi, thank you, it’s felt fabric, but you can use other material like dacron, sponge, or many others ❤️
I use quilting wadding with no issues. Its just to keep the shape.
I definitely ganna add this to my shop
Good luck with Your shop
Thank you very much!
I'm definitely going to try this!
What a beautiful tutorial, thank you.
Beautiful and comfortable too will try it for my daughter ♥️👍
Thanks a lot 😊
Thank you so much,,, your hand made so beautifull
I love it thank you so much
What is the beige thing you put in the headband? Is it foam?
I believe it’s batting / wadding
It was felt.
Is the felt necessary? I currently don't have any felt material and want to know if I could make this without it
No problem:)
I love this! I can’t wait to make it for myself and my daughters! Thanks for the great video! 💗
Hello .. i just want to ask what’s the name of the color yellow you put inside the fabric.. thank you for the answer
It is called felt, it is used to give the band shape.
This is wonderful and helful
I just finish my First and plan to make more, thanks
Wonderful very very nice thanks for sharing it
I am planning on using these directions to make a 1920s style flapper headband.
Your directions worked nicely! Since the headband was for a role in Gatsby, I made both the front and back of the bands 2 1/2” in width. Your directions came at a good time as the play is in a couple of weeks.
Fantastic video, so easy to follow. And I got the very best results!! Best regards from New Zealand
Está super¡ Sin embargo yo le agregué 16cm porque sino..no me iba a quedar...asi que la medida 20 × 18cm quedó en 33-36cm × 18cm
Pero está super

Thanks so much 😊
I love headband please upload more
Can I ask what did you add in the center of the big cloth? Is it another extra cloth or a soft foam fabric?
It's FELT material. Up to you to add if you want it sturdier
What a beautiful head band and such clear instructions...I have to make a few for my market sales...Thank you💜
Nice. I will try. Thank you
This looks beautiful. Will be trying my hand at making one, two, or three. Thank you!

Can you please tell me what's that thing that you put inside the fabric to keep the headband straight? Is that felt?
Yes, it’s felt ;)
Is the felt part necessary for the construction?
That’s what I wanted to know too! Looking at the comments to see if someone said anything
Hi, the felt is to make headband more sturdy. You can skip the felt if it’s not too necessary ❤️

Head circumference minus 20 cm. How many centimeters do you make in this video? Just curious
Thank u

I use number 2-3 tension out of 5, try 90/14 needles
I find it quite hard to get through the elastic too, but I just end up going over and over it
Very very cute!
Thank you! 😊

This is great. If I was to make this for a child say 10 year old do you know (roughly ) what length and width I would need to do? Thanks
Measure their head.
The length of the second piece is the head circumference minus the 20 cm / 8 inches of the elastic in the first.
I think this could work for a small head as well.
Ecellent☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Simple and beautiful
Really liked this artpiece.. I love it... not able to give more than one like... awesome 😍😍😍

Thank you for excellent video. Plz can you send me measures for kids one. Thanks.
2:36 what is that stuff that you put inside to give it the shape called?
Felt fabric
@@Anjurisa Is it optional? Would leaving it out make it less stable to wear? Thank you!
I tried the elastic band with thicker fabric but couldn’t flip inside out, should I make the band bigger?
Yes, make the fabric band wider to easily flip inside out
@@Anjurisa thank you!

After folded in half, you should sew the seam 1/4” on both. My elastic is also 1/4” thick/wide.
What is the other fabric? And for what it is?
What you put in the band at @ 2:24?
Where did you get your cute fabric
