      John Walsh The whole of Africa or just some parts? How many countries have you been to in Africa to conclude that it's entirety bad for black folks?!! There are black neighborhoods in the United States where one can't even walk down the street without looking constantly over their shoulders and being apprehensive and cautious. And this applies to mostly black folks who find themselves in those neighborhoods so don't be so quick to blindly and sheepishly generalize based on media propaganda and nonsense aired as "news"!!!!

      As a Chiese,I have to say. IF u ask a Chinese who comes to Africa to do business, of course the answer u get, is making money. Is there anything wrong with that??? What else do u expect to hear??? Or u can ask yourself why u come to China? Why u choose to learn Chinese as foreign language?? Isn't that because China is HUGE market for the world? Isn't that because u can probably have a better job or career in the future,as China is a rising power in the 21th century??? The point is not about why we come to africa but how we come, do u really understand that? it'a WIN-WIN. Your thoughts simply too negative!!!

    I have been searching random videos about foreigners' lives in China, but most of them are about white people. This is the first video that talks about Africans, a large number of people that were ignored or misunderstood by most Chinese. TBH, as a Chinese/Cantonese, I grow up with racist comments on Africans. I have to say that living in China right now as a black person is definitely not easy because of the discrimination and the system. However, I still want to welcome those who come to my home country for a better opportunity. I know that China is not perfect: it is not that international, there are racist people, the language is hard etc.. But my point is, China should be the home for those who work hard to thrive and most Chinese are incredibly friendly. I wish one day that more Chinese can be educated on the race problems and we could be better friends with each other. I really appreciate your positivity and hope that you could enjoy your life in China!

    Personally, I didn't hear any thing negative from the men in the video. I think one of them was quite honest that the problem is a lack of understanding of how the system works and 2 inability to renew their visa related to corruption and crimes committed by applicants or others. It just shows that people intending to go to another country should really do good diligence and do as much research as possible to avoid or minimize frustration. Thank you.

    Wow Guanzhou, previously known as Canton where the people spoke Cantonese. Many Chinese people who settled around the world before the Chinese Revolution/Communist rule came mainly from this area. My grand-dad is from this area. This is one of the places on my bucket list to visit. Wow... it's so interested that Black Africans have been living in China for over 15+ years.
    Great conversation, keep up the good work and many blessings. You tackle topics that most vlogger are scared to tackle.

      you should watch videos of Chinese youth struggling to settle down in those first tier cities, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen...they refer themselves as under ground rats because many can only afford renting basements. They're young, smart, well educated and extremely hard working yet many still fail miserably.
      Racism is there but if you are to blame all your hardship squarely to racism you fight a wrong war.
      China's investment in Africa is strategic and long term. Why Africa? because it's under developed & under built hence the business opportunities. For Africans studying in China you should be able to find ample jobs in those big construction initiatives after your graduation.
      China has gone through from selling natural resources to cheap products, to more sophisticated products, and now to almost any products. China didn't call those buyers exploiters. There is so much Africans can learn from the Chinese by working with them side by side, day by day. Africa's prosperity is highly likely but first be patient and be humble. Remember, China's rise attributes to nothing but 40 years of hard work and razor focus on one thing, development.

    China is not that international, a lot of Chinese has never seen a foreigner before.
    Yes, there are quite some uneducated, ignorant Chinese people. And yes, there are some discrimination. But I believe it generally due to that they do not know things very much. I do not think most of the Chinese is actually harmful towards foreigners, and as there are more and more foreigners in China, people would know each other better, learn each other's culture. I believe the situation will get better in the future. There are much less these kind of things happening in Beijing and Shanghai.
    I personally would stare at foreigners sometimes as well in China, just wonder if they need any helps, or maybe translation with my inadequate English.

    • @matthewmann8969
      @matthewmann8969 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Richard Chen Yet for some reason European And Ashkenazi Jewish Foreiners get less discrimination even lesser then other Far East Asian Yellows why is that?

    • @richardchen8963
      @richardchen8963 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      first, please show me some evidence of your claim. secondly, China does interact with them much more.
      European invade and colonized China; during WW2 a lot of Jewish people went to China to avoid Nazi, some of which are still living in China, most of them went to Israel and USA; and of course, an Asian country knows its neighbors.
      at least in China, you do not need to worry about safety just because of where you come from or the color of your skin.
      I am sorry to say this, but there are a lot of Chinese believe the western propaganda, they think the west is the heaven on earth. You would not believe what kind of things that a Chinese extreme white worshiper may do, thank god they are small in number, and people are coming to their senses gradually.

    • @NegSteLucie
      @NegSteLucie 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Richard Chen no Whether or not you have seen foreigners is not the point. There is such a thing as human decency. Chinese in Africa are treated with dignity and respect. Africans don't see Chinese in Africa any more than Chinese see Africans in China. Why such a difference in the treatment of the other?

    • @richardchen8963
      @richardchen8963 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Until I see some facts, what you said is just matter of opinion. Is there a research showing the majority of African people are treated unwell in China? How are the African people treated in China compare to western countries?
      Many people dislike Chinese in Africa too. Some people even say Chinese are "colonizing". And in certain areas, the majority of Chinese had experienced robbery, people even got killed.
      Shitty people are everywhere.

I opened bank account, I showed my marriage documents and visa and passport with my visa yet the bank said Africans are high security risk to China therefore they are not permitted to open an account here,,they closed my bank account but they are in my country robbing our gold,own arms and putting guns on Ghanaians and our chiefs...aren't they threat to Ghana security? we blacks will forever remain animals and idiots,,,, we will never think....it pains being an african

I ❤️CHINA

And asking them to come to home . Even if you live in saudi you follow rules if not trouble will invite you. So same here if any wrong things done the people will become mob n attack any indian or even foreigners. But if you being good nobody will attack. Really cool bro you finally went to Guangzhou i've been studying here for 1 year so far being african here is not easy but I like China. I encourage any African who wants to come to China for studies or business that they can succeed if they are serious about what are doing!
    PS best african restaurants in China can be found in Guangzhou in Sanyuanli and xiaobei districts

      chris bennett Why not? He is a young man Traveling abroad which ideally every young person should have the opportunity to do so. He did not say he was going to live there forever and if he choses to that is his business.
      For your information black ancestors ended up as slaves due to selling their own people as nowhere in the world was everyone on the globe ever singing kumbaya. People of all nations and within their own group mostly fight with their kind. The ones sold off were from other Tribes who were captured (in captivity already in Africa) either to be enslaved or killed. This is just historical facts and slavery is still prevelant today in the middle East and children are being sild left and right as slaves, child brides, alot from Asian countries are sent off to work as maids all over and are worked to the bone. I mean people's own families are KILLING their women/ daughters (honour killings....pretty sad some men's honor is between a woman's legs...patheric) for not wanting to be marry their 50 year old Uncle for example. Everyone and in every group has major issues except maybe the top 3% of the elitests who set up or do nothing to try and change things but they want to invade everywhere else and bring their shitty ways to economically migrate and then try and enforce their ways immediately over there like what is being done in Europe...not working out much now. There is corruption that we must eliminate from those running indoctrination systems, etc and keeping up agenda's using all media, social systems, ent, etc. With time things will get better because if you stagnate or do not go foreward you go backwards and that escalates to where the people under those regimes must unite together and change things.
