Hi @jbvendamme, Thanks for your kind words! I haven't tested it in Draw Mode yet, so I'm not entirely sure if it works there. If you try it out, please let me know! Best!
@@medicciGame Oh, that s why I was asking, it doesnt ... And as you need to swap often with object mode, it s pretty confusing to constantly re adjust your way of navigating..
@@jbvendamme Thanks for pointing that out! I understand how switching between Draw Mode and Object Mode and readjusting navigation can be frustrating. If you explore further and find a solution, please feel free to share it here-I'd love to learn from your findings as well!
I have a question please: Is there a way to use a keymap while ignoring the mesh when the mesh fill the entire screen? I don't want to use only the borders in that situation (for Example i want to use: "cmd+Alt" or "Ctrl+Alt" o and in this case the whole screen work like a the border...is that possible?
If you are using a tablet, usually by pressing one of the pen's buttons, you don't need to press the screen, this way it should work the same as Zbrush. Hope this helps.
I have 2 questions this addon does not completely copy the navigation from zbrush 1) how to make it so that you can zoom similar to Adon, but instead of the left mouse button, make the right one pressing alt > holding down the right mouse button > releasing alt and most importantly, all this must happen on the object and not just outside it! in zbrush this can be done by default 2) when I rotate outside the object, rotation does not occur according to the tuning principle blender: preferences > navigation > depth (similar setting in zbrush: "transform > local transformations) that is, when I rotate the camera by holding the left mouse button outside the object, the camera does not rotate around the axis of the last point on which I clicked it rotates around an incomprehensible axis
Hi @ToorkMAN, I would check in the addon preferences in the mouse look navigation options, in the keymaps tab, if you have loaded the zbrush preset. You need to load this to start working the same as Zbrush. That would solve the "alt" issue and you will be able to zoom clicking outside the object the same as Zbrush. For question number 2. You are right, it won't orbit around over the last point you clicked. What you can do is with the cursor over the place you want to orbit, press the Numpad dot. That's how blender zoom to selected but in sculpt mode will focus the rotation around that point. Hope this could help you out. Please let me know how it goes, best!
@@medicciGame "... and you will be able to zoom clicking outside the object the same as Zbrush" that's exactly clicking "outside" the object and I need a clicking "on" the object (I activated the zbrush preset "Alt" works outside) but I repeat: Often you have to work with details and the object takes up the entire space of the viewport I need: click on the object alt > holding down the left (or you can do right) mouse button > releasing alt > zoom - this hotkey is in zbrush by default I can’t zoom on an object, it would be nice to fix this
@@ToorkMAN You will have to use Ctrl + middle mouse button or Ctrl + pen button. Not sure if you can add another keymap in order to do it over the object.
This is really fantastic! Thanks! However it's not working in 3.1. I've deleted all my configs (fresh Blender install) to make sure that it's not a conflict with another addon. Nope. I install this addon alone, enable it, get the icon in the interface, go to sculpt mode, but cannot get the results you're showing. I've looked over the documentation. I don't think I'm missing anything. Thoughts?
Hi Steve Warner! You need to activate which keymap preset you want. In this case the zbrush keymap. Go to edit, preferences, Addons, Mouse look navigation, Keymaps, Load preset, Zbrush. Then you will be able to navigate the same way as zbrush. I will leave you a screenshot in my twitter acount. twitter.com/EstudioMedicci Thank you for your support and good vibes! Best!
@@medicciGame Just a quick follow up. I loaded in the ZBrush keymap and it worked! It's amazing how much better the sculpting experience is with the ZBrush navigation. I did notice a performance lag, however, when the navigation is active. I'm guessing it has to do with the raycast to see if you're over geometry or a blank portion of the interface. When I click to sculpt, there's a brief pause. It's really noticeable when I turn off the navigation, sculpt, then turn it on again. The tradeoff, however, is worth it, as being able to rotate around your viewport simply by clicking speeds everything else up. I figured I'd ask, however. Are there any settings I should be changing to mitigate the lag?
@@SteveWarner I'm glad it's working now. Regarding performance reduction so far I don't have a solution. If you find a work around please let me know. 👍
@@medicciGame Okay! Sounds good. It's definitely not a major issue. But I'll tinker on this end and if I find anything, I'll let you know. Thanks again!

this addon does not completely copy the navigation from zbrush
1) how to make it so that you can zoom
similar to Adon, but instead of the left mouse button, make the right one
pressing alt > holding down the right mouse button > releasing alt
and most importantly, all this must happen on the object and not just outside it!
in zbrush this can be done by default
2) when I rotate outside the object,
rotation does not occur according to the tuning principle
blender: preferences > navigation > depth
(similar setting in zbrush: "transform > local transformations)
that is, when I rotate the camera by holding the left mouse button outside the object, the camera does not rotate around the axis of the last point on which I clicked
it rotates around an incomprehensible axis

What with aligning the model like in Zbrush?
Hi Какое-то имя, Could you send me an example of the Zbrush aligning feature? So I can tell you if you can do it the same way in Blender. Best!
it doesn't seem to work in 3.5? and it doesn't support Metal :(
