Great video! Walked me thru exactly what was ailing my generator. Tore it apart, cleaned it, put it back together. It WORKS! Thanks!

Very proffesional made video - thanks a lot!
I have a question - could it be te cause of leaking gas through an air filter chamber? There is a rubber fuse from stroke chamber to air filter and my generator gets an extra fuel that leaks through filter chamber?

Thank you for watching my video. Yes! Fuel leaking out of the air filter box is also a sign of a clogged / dirty / stuck / bad float needle in the carburetor.

The rubber hose you mentioned from the valve cover to the air box is a breather hose. The fuel is not coming through there, but oil can get through that breather hose and soak your air filter with oil. Specially when the generator is overfilled with oil.

This happens to me with a brand new carb straight out of the box(a Chinese replacement carb), it over flow gas just like this video. Any idea what might be the problem?

Looks like the Chinese carb might have a bad float or float needle. I had issues before with “new” Chinese carburetors. I recommend opening the carburetor and inspect the float and float needle (make sure the tip of the needle is not deformed)
