So, I propose a contest, Let's see which one of us gives up and lays down in front of a moving train first. If that doesn't make us TH-cam stars... nothing will. Cheers from the Shed
That sounds like just my kind of contest! Plus both of our sheds are by the tracks, so it will require minimal effort and we all know that minimum effort = maximum TH-cam success.

Kyle like the you talk and explain what has to be done to make those dents disappear like watching a magic show and wonder how you could you do that looking so easy. That old GMC is going to look like New old stock and never had a bad day in its life.
I was trying to figure out how that cowl damage occurred, looks like kids climbing on it, unless the vent was damaged then maybe a tree. Another repair made to look way too easy, nice job. That grumpy old stove bolt sounds good, I love to hear them brings back good memories.
For just a brief moment at around 22 minutes I found myself thinking “why does he have an outlet in the rear window” but logic and rational came to my rescue.
30min of chasing is definitely quicker! Upper cowl looks really nice, now! It may take a while. But I can see this series of repairs picking up views as winter progresses. Cabin fever and TH-cam are like old bunk mates.
Well I don't work on modern cars anymore, so I'm not sure if that will ever happen. The paintless dent repair guys have mostly replaced old school metalfinishing on modern cars. The work those guys do is incredible!
@@CarterAutoRestyling my thoughts were more as a way to show that stuff exactly. How using old metal finishing would destroy new metal. I know how you like to joke around sometimes. I have a ‘40 Ford Standard Tudor that I dabble with… Keep up what you’re doing. I have much better success watching you than doing it myself!
What is it with these old trucks? Every time I watch a new video you put out, it seems I need to do the same repair, dents on top of the cowl A pillar tweaked from blown open door, cab corners, floors inner/outer cowls. Really do appreciate what you put out, fun to watch and learn at the same time. I’m having fun doing my truck though!
Love watching your work young man and as an old fart, (mid 70's), it is so refreshing to see proper metal bumping and metal finishing, as it was, and still should, be done. Sadly modern metals and their high tensile, light gauge metallurgy, have done away with the art nowadays; hence my untold respect for craftsmen like yo, whom keep this art form alive! Oh I remember about 10 years ago, I took a hobby class at out TAFE College, in minor body repair and landed a dented Mitsubishi Lancer mudguard to get back in shape. Did that bit well, but part of the process involved body file work and that didn't go so well. Took so much metal off tyhat the nice looking panel, was about as thin as a razor blade in places. Still smile at that, but when you have spent 50 yrs in heavy earthmoving repairs and maintenance, err there is a bit of adapting on metal thickness lol. Thank you for your posts.
Thanks Brian! The paintless dent repair guys have taken the place of old school metal bumping on modern cars. The work those pdr guys do is incredible!
@@CarterAutoRestyling Thank you for taking the time to answer my comment; appreciate that a lot. Please have a Great, Merry, Happy and Joyous Christmas and New Year, along with your family. Great bit of instruction there, many thanks. Along with always being entertained by your wit and humor I get to learn something new. What's not to love about that.
Kyle: Some 50 plus years ago, my younger brother had a 51 Pick-up Chevy or GMC (I can't remember which) Long Bed with 8 lug wheels, the same corner windows like yours, this tiny one barrel carburetor and plenty of dents. The thing could barely get to 50MPH and had a 3 speed on the floor with an extra Low 1st gear. [one had to physically hold it in 2nd gear or it would instantly jump out of gear]. It could pull out stumps sans problem. It had pretty much the same paint scheme as yours does now (a true harlequin: White front clip/ black driver's door/ red passenger's door / a dark blue roof and bed with plenty of red primer paint sporadically sprayed around to cover rusted spots) The neighbors really complained about it being an eye sore to my mother. So, after being nagged enough, one post-snowy day (which is why your video reminded me of this incident) My brother (fed up of the nagging) conscripted me to help him paint the car outdoors and in the cold (in complete contradiction of what the directions said to do). We painted with white Rust-oleum paint. We used these really tiny rollers (for house painting in corners etc.) and slowly spread/ smudged this nearly molasses thick paint all over the car. It took us 3 hours. The next day it still wasn't completely dry in areas. By the third day it had dried on the surface but it felt like a plastic coating and not paint. Finally after 5 days it was really dry. Having taken so long to dry, it had flattened out really nicely and was smooth to the touch. We liked it so much, we hand brush painted the 4 wheels flat on the ground (after putting the truck up on blocks) and waited another 4 days for them to dry completely also. The truck looked so good and the dents and stuff were hidden in plain sight by the white color. ...So, the moral of this message is to get a can of Rust-oleum white paint and either spray it on or roller it on and it won't look like an abomination to you or your contacts. You can always paint over it later on.
