      JolieInc I love to hear Bob and Brad chat. But thanks for the reminder. I am taking turmeric supplements that include pepper, and raw apricot seed powder in capsules. And I have some Panacur dewormer for horses which I read kills cancer three ways (I haven’t figured out the dose yet).

      JolieInc it is exciting ! It breaks down a cell structure so the cancer cell can’t reproduce, it shuts down the metabolism in cancer cells so they starve, and it stimulates the body to produce a cancer fighting thing something like P 45 ! I forget.

      Credentials hardly matter when the scientific data is not really there yet, or the processes behind what the statistics tell you is not understood in detail. I too would put more credence behind Greger, but I simply would not take everything he says as gospel. A lot of the studies he quotes really do not mean what he implies they mean. It is good to know, and when he can explain stuff in detail, like lately they have been talking about diabetes being a disease of fat toxicity - something they did not say before. They know a lot, but they really still do not understand this. They cannot tell you the reason for high blood pressure either.

      @@somaazul5871 What nonsense. If this were true, then cancer research would only be dissecting veg and fruit to find the active compounds and actually according to you, they have already found them, or else you could not have made that statement. So that is BS. Also, irrespective of whether we know what the active compounds are, since they are in there anyway according to you, eating veg and fruit would prevent cancer and/or cure it, which it evidently does not because cancer is the #1 cause of death today.

    What about the kidney stone causing oxcylates in spinach?

    • @time4sanity

      Spinach is one green you dont want to eat daily... mix up your greens

    • @KatarinaS.
      @KatarinaS. 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@time4sanity Yes, change it up with kale, chard, arugula, brocolli, Brussels sprouts, etc and cook them to destroy the oxalates. Spinach, kale, and chard are high in oxalates but the others aren't. The problem with these super food recommendations is people then think that they need to eat these foods daily or even multiple times a day. Too much of a good thing isn't always better. Variety is important because different foods have different health benefits. And raw isn't necessarily better either. I recently, like less than a month ago, read Dr Gregor's book as well and he talks about preparation of foods and how cooking doesn't always destroy as much of the nutrients in a lot of food as we've been led to believe. Depends on how we cook it. Some foods are actually better for us when cooked.

    • @nora22000
      @nora22000 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Its not rocket science but it has been a hig topic for years. If people don't know how or why by now we are a sad bunch. There is noway around cancer just threw. If your body is set up for it you will get it. Its like leaving young kids in a room by themselves, they will either go crazy and mess it up or they will find something to do that don't mess it up.

    • @infectionsman
      @infectionsman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Un-cooked animal foods are the best for vitamins. Things like liver, blood and unpasteurized dairy are natures pharmacy. (This kind of food may be a bit unorthodox to most westerners but is tradition in many parts of the world.) Also avoid sugar/carbs and artificial foods like processed foods, plant oils and stuff that has added chemicals. Nitrates that are added to meats are carcinogenic, so is deep frying and charring the meat. The heat also destroys the vitamins.

    How Not To Die? Kind of false advertising isn't it? Dr. Greger's fans are real fanatics ... they buy that book, and also since it is not political there is not the crazy right-wing nuts who give it a 1/5, so it gets such high ratings. And it is probably a good book, but come on, you can not fine tune your diet by eating only spinach, or kale, or walnuts, or blueberries. People are different and not all people need to be vegan, or vegetarian or carnivorous either. Eating and diet is still a mystery, as is most of the human body - we just do not know.

    Just the title of the book lets me know it's a scam
    "How Not To Die" wow people are actually stupid enough to believe that's possible. Any book with a 4,8 rating just proves that

      Teresa and others. The research in this book is obtained from science based evidence. If you suffer from tunnel vision and ignorance that' is your issue. Don't criticise what you don't know.

      Wearing a seatbelt isn't going to keep you from dying either, but it will severely reduce the chances of dying in a car accident. You can choose to be pedantic.

      This is my favorite comment. You would just have to watch a couple of shows to know they are married and have separate lives. But now that we're here: I would subscribe to watch an odd-couple sitcom of that. The show would write itself.
