    One of my happiest memories was from around 1950, shelling pecans with my grandfather and eating them. Pecans are a tradition in the South and did you know they are best when they are stolen before the tree's owner gathers them up? Anytime my mom went for a walk, she'd take a small bag with her to pick up pecans that had fallen in the street where they were fair game.

      You are talkinf about Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). I haven't heard of acne and joint pain being a symptom for IBS. Anyway, IBS occurs because you can't digest some carbs and it ends up in the large bowel where the gut biome has a field day making a large amount of gas ..... hence, farting!! 😕

Very few PCPs will take the time to work with patients, to help them identify food sensitivities (vs allergies) that might be triggers for IBS SYMPTOMS - instead, they will prescribe a few Rxs to address SYMPTOMS. One reason that so many people experience relief on the carnivore diet is because it’s very similar to an elimination diet.

    Nuts and seeds (also peanuts) are high in Omega 6, which is inflammatory. You want to eat Omega 3 (and/or Monounsaturated fat), which is much healthier and anti-inflammatory.

    • @davfar459
      @davfar459 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's not how that works, you need omega 6 just as much as you need omega 3 if not more and the ratio of what you eat doesn't matter the thing is omega 6 is used to promote healthy inflammation when it's necessary meanwhile omega 3 is used to counteract that to form a balance, since there's more omega 6 than 3 in most foods it's easy to become deficient in omega 3 but not 6 which could result in exaggerated reactive inflammation levels but as long as you have enough of both worlds to work with you'll have healthy inflammatory reactions and levels. The only dietary lipid that's not essential however is saturated fat, partially because your gut biome already produces that for you.

    What should I do if I can't afford red meat or ruminant meat? I have been thinking about stoping the Carnivore diet and maybe transition to a Keto diet since i cannot affort ruminant meat and have not lsoe bodyfat eating to satiety(Chicken Thigths)
    I have been following a carnivore diet for over 11 months. I have had good results in the beginning (first 90-100 days) but I haven't lost any fat for months.
    I am 180cm tall, weigh about 180lbs @+-22%BF. I need to lose at least another 15 lbs. (I Go to the gym 3 times a week and perfrome High intensity training, to build muscle and assist losing bodyfat.). I eat 1.1-1.2 kg of roasted chicken thighs plus 7-8 eggs. Divided into meals within a 6 hour window.
    Allow me to ask a few questions:
    1- What can I do to lose weight if I can't afford red meat or ruminant meat? I am Brazilian and live in Brazil. With the increase in inflation, ruminant meat is out of my budget. Can I buy/afford hamburger meat
    2- and chicken (I eat roasted thighs)?
    When should the CICO model be used to lose fat? Eating until full stopped having any effect on fat loss more than 6 months ago.
    Thank you!

      @@AndreLeitedaSilvaGaldino If you increase fat and reduce protein that will help reduce insulin, insulin is also an fat storage hormone so reducing insulin helps decreasing body fat. Chicken meat is fine as long as you remove the skin which is the most linoleic acid content in it. Also saturated fats give you satiety so eating until full and still losing weight might be easier, it makes you eat less often generally. If you find a good quality cheap fat source, you don't need to seek for higher fat chicken parts. Also increasing salt helps fatigue in most diets in case if you have any issues with that.
