I have been soaping many years now and I’ve watched a LOT of soap videos and these are the most beautiful and informative that I’ve ever seen. I love the calm serene music and written instructions as opposed to talking. I’m a full time caregiver for my Mom with advanced Alzheimer’s and some days are rough. I like to watch these before bed as it completely calms my mind and spirit. Thank you for such wonderful informative videos.
I love the no talking and just visual with the relaxing music. One of my favorite soap making videos. Something about music with only the sounds of what you were doing made this so relaxing outing me into a zen state.❤️🧘♀️
Not just an amazing recipe but even the presentation, detailed information of the ingredients - everything is fabulous about this soap. Also, Molly is gorgeous 😍.
Thank you so much for your video. I did a lot of research for almost a year before I began to make cold process soap and have been making soap for a little of a year now. The soap I make is good but I find it drying to my skin. I do have dry, sensitive skin from medications for s Kidney disease. I keep looking and trying new recipes to help my dry skin feel soft and moisturized. I love watching your videos, they are so calming and informative. Thanks again.💚💚💚
I’m sorry to hear that, It can be really challenging if you have super dry skin. I really hope you can find a solution that works for you! Thank you for all your kind words💚
Perhaps try reducing your coconut oil, increasing butters like shea and cocoa, consider things like lard, tallow or lanolin. Also higher olive and avocado oil can help as well as milks and purees. When I make my sensitive skin soap, it's only 20% coconut, then 30% butters, 10% lard or tallow (I like animal fats in my soap, just my preference), 30% olive, 7% avocado and 3% castor. Then I also superfat up to 10% and go unscented and no colors - I also use my herb Infused olive oils (like dandelion root, chamomile, mullein, lavender etc), I also add goat milk. I don't know what allergies or sensitivities you have, but this one seems to do well for my customers - I will replace the animal fats/byproducts with either more butters or bumping up the avocado and olive oil and using aloe vera or purees for a vegan friendly option. Maybe a good place to start?
@@tellervo. thank you ☺️ my husband gets pretty sensitive during certain times of the year so I made this one too help when he's going through a spell.
@@Abutado thank you. I do keep the CO down, no higher than 20% and also used Lard. In fact when I read your list of ingredients, they are almost the same as mine. I am a researcher by nature and have studied and research what oil & butters do since beginning making soap. I just made a soap using Avocado Oil for the first time, so hoping it helps. Thank you for responding.
@@Sulambash she explains in the description. It prevents the soap from going rancid from exposure to metals in tap water. It is not a requirement for the recipe.
Your video is so self explanatory. You are an amazing person. I love the way you took your time to patiently answer each question. Thank you. Love from Nigeria. ♥️
I just discovered your channel and as most have shared, your presentation truly brings a tranquility to soaping! Also, I have been helped as a new soaper to see such a fluid, consistent pattern in your technique. A question, please- what is your process after soap goes into the mold before unmolding/cutting? All your soaps are completely uniform and so beautiful. Thank you for your sharing your recipes and look forward to soamping this recipe.
I'm so glad my videos have helped you😊 I usually do the cold process-oven process where you turn on your oven to the lowest setting, put your soap in there, turn the oven off after 1+ hours and leave the soap in over night. This creates a nice, warm environment for the soap.
This soap recipe is nouishing and very happy with results!! Until I found your recipes, the several soap batch recipes I used from 2 different soap classes I took, none of them felt nourishing or left my skin feeling emollient. Great soap recipe!
Believe me I feel this recipe is so good that you fell you want to eat it. Thank's for sharing I will give a try no to eat it but enjoying in my baths 😆
Thank you for sharing your knowledge through these beautiful videos. I am curious to know if adding fresh fruit to soap increases the risk of fungal and/or bacterial growth on it. Usually the high pH of soap prevents microbial growth, but I'm not sure if that's the case when fresh fruit is used as an additive. Have you ever had mouldy soap?
I made this soap two days ago, first homemade soap I’ve ever made. It went…really bad 🤣 I don’t know if my temperature was too high (31 for both lye and oils) or I blended it too much or it was the essential oil and fragrance oil that I added but it hardened really quickly, I couldn’t pour it. I had individual moulds ready, however it was almost impossible to pour it. I managed to pour in two moulds and I left the rest of it in the pan. Yesterday I grated all of it and put it on bain marie (double boiler) with some water. It melted nice and I blended it again, really cool, it looked like in your video, I managed to pour it into moulds without problems. However, this morning it’s still soft in moulds, like mashed potatoes 🤣🙈 What did I do wrong, was I supposed to leave it on double boiler for longer? Was it too much water? What can I do with it now? Can I re-re-batch it and leave it on heat for longer? I’d really appreciate some tips. The moulds I used are different sizes, some are really tiny, I don’t even know how to take it out from those … 🤦♀️

Thanks so much for sharing recipe. Soap looks gorgeous & spa like 😍. May I know if you use water discount for the avocado purée? Just wonder if the avocado purée would discolour / turn brown after curing 5-6 weeks? Would be sad if it looses the lovely calm green color.
Thank you for your lovely video. May I ask you how to calculate the weight of avocado (or something else - such as carrot, pumpkin etc) into our batch? because I do not have exactly the same oil or butter as yours so I have to adapt the recipe according to what I have. Thank you in advance.
Do you not use any left over lye particles in strainer, I thought it be necessary for it all to be dissolved. I realise it is hard to get it 100% dissolved Beautiful Recipe I will make this so very grateful 💚

i add avocado , goat milk and honey in 80% of my soaps . Have you tried to use the whole avocado ? the half part with shell as well ? it gives you a nice exfoliatinc soap-i love it !!!!
@@tellervo. I mix half avocado or whole avocado depending on amount of oils- I mix with stick blender both the fruit and shell in the same time until everything is mixed well , I add goat milk and I mix with oils; the soap will have very small brown spots but is not DOS it is the shell and is really a good exfoliator, if you add color it can be very cute- please try! Good luck 😊
