@@DoctorEyeHealth - I've tried numerous monthly and daily contact lenses including Biofinity Energys that I'm doing a trial in now and the NEW BAUSCH & LOMB INFUSE (just launched mid-last year) are the most comfortable lenses I've worn so far. Low Modulus - and so they're flexible and soft - making them super comfy on the eyes but yet still easy to handle to insert in your eyes. Fabulous 134 Dk/t (oxygen permeability) and they were also designed to help tackle those with dry eyes. Of course it's not going to be a 100% fit for everyone. Night vision is also a bit crisper than a lot of other lenses - at least for me - because of the aspheric lens design....it reduces glare from lights. The other plus for me is that they are also a bit easier to remove at the end of the day versus Alcon Dailies Total. Plus Infuse has UV 2 protection. So in any case - another good option to try in the daily premium lens market....and I was glad my Optometrist was a bit aware of these newly launched lenses late last year and ordered trials for me.

I have been wearing soft contacts since they came out in the 70's and just recently switched from monthly wear with daily disinfection to daily wear disposables (Cooper My Day) and the difference is remarkable. My vision is much clearer than wearing glasses and I can wear them a full day without any discomfort. And the extra cost is worth not having to do the cleaning regimen and risking eye problems.

Precision 1’s are great and comfortable, but they are not as sharp as other contacts.. I’ve worn them and I couldn’t really see 20/20 but I strongly recommend Dailies Total 1, they’re super comfortable with crisp and clear vision.

The challenge with Dailies Total for some folks is that their slippery texture can make them a wee bit more tricky to remove at the end of the day. I've read numerous folks having a bit of that challenge but ok for others.

I'm using the two week Acuvue oasys for astigmatism but have just recently ordered the daily version. I'm very good about washing my hands and properly sanitizing my contacts, but I'm a bicycle mechanic and I feel no matter how clean I get my hands I can still have deposits in my fingerprints, from all sorts of grime and degreasers and lubricants. My contacts appear clean but I don't feel confident scrubbing them in my hands so daily contacts should lower the risk of contamination.

After 15+ years of wearing glasses, I finally tried contacts. My first-ever have been the Acuvue Moist dailies, and they have been a nightmare. They are flimsy and do not adhere to the eye consistently, with some repeatedly crumpling up and falling out in a blink yet a different one will adhere without issue. Once in, I do admit they are nice but it is not worth 25 frustrating minutes. I need an alternative. The information in your videos is awesome, thank you! I am going to try out the Precision 1s, turns out they are about the same price as the infuriatingly annoying Acuvue Moist dailies...

My optometrist said that they are moving away from the Acuvue Moist Dailies because there are better options out there for similar pricing or just a bit more. I've tried them too and they are not for me! Vision wasn't as clear as other contacts and they don't remain as comfortable and moist for all day wear. Also the Oxygen permeability (Dk/t) is fairly low - I prefer lenses with much higher Dk/t as I do wear lenses 16 hrs/day.

Doctor is it normal for the vision to be "slightly" blurrier upclose with nearsighted glasses? I got my new glasses, everything seems crisp and clear in intermediate and far distances (with ghosting double vision unfortunately which dosen't wanna go away ever 😞) but upclose it's a little blurrier, my previous glasses also had blurriness up close and I think I could see better without them while reading or doing other near work tasks.

Depends, are you over the age of 40 and have presbyopia? Do you have accommodative issues? Perhaps your glasses are just causing you do accommodate (use your focusing muscles) more - flexing the crystalline lens (which may cause a minification effect with the glasses) vs seeing without the glasses.

Between the two, I can't tell a difference in comfort or moisture. I wish they were cheaper, the reason I've got a supply of both is because the Total 1's were actually cheaper online due to how long they've been on the market. Hey! I am currently on DAILIES Aquacomfort plus (they're super comfy, and I barely feel them) trial before my prescription is finalized. My prescription is multifocal with the correction for the presbyopia being +1 - I can still see stuff close by properly without any visual aids tho. I was thinking about maybe switching to the single vision contacts since the multifocal are so expensive. Will my eyes get used to that or just sticking with multifocal is the best thing to do? Also, if you can do a video on multifocal contacts that'd be great.

This obviously isnt an emergency, so theres no reason to break quarantine. On the other hand, I have no perscription yet. Do you think an online exam like 1800-contacts would be comprehensive enough for single-use lenses? Thanks!

Not contact lens related (I'm wearing A contact lens does that count?) 33 years old, just had cataract surgery in 1 eye, Toric IOL for distance vision (Great vision, I could read the bottom two lines of the eye chart which apparently most people can't do without glasses, so stoked about that.) Question about if I had chosen a Toric IOL for Near vision, and the depth of focus for that IOL?
I can wear my old glasses and read with them, but my focus is only about 10cm or 4 inches. If I had chosen a Near IOL is that how it would have been? Or would I have seen from very close to about 1 meter/3 feet away?

I thought that a lower Young's Modulus meant that it was more ductile (less stiff), and yet you say that they hold their shape better. Surely if they hold their shape better, they are stiffer and therefore must have a higher Young's Modulus. What am I failing to understand here?

I have GPC and for whatever reason the coopervision lenses caused a mild dull pain after a couple hours.. Daily total 1 definitely won between the 2.. however I cant afford them, so I went back to air optix night and day (BC 8.6).. they are still more comfortable than the coopervision daily hydrogels. Although I know switching to dailies would be better for my GPC. not sure if it had to do with the BC because I'm 8.6 and I believe they were 8.4.. at same time why would my eye doctor give me the wrong BC???? Are contacts supposed to be entirely imperceptible on your eyes or is it normal to have this feeling of something in your eye (like a grain of sand or an eyelash)? even if they are night time contact, if you can take them out before bed... definitely do so. I always fall asleep without warning so I'm guilty of doing this and I have a whole extra eye condition from doing so called GPC, it didn't matter that I had night time ones. Its not going to matter how you sleep regardless. Try to take them out before bed as much as possible. And if youre going to sleep in them youre going to have to make sure you clean them really well. I soak mine in supraclens.. and if I'm out of that I soak in Clear Care.. Its a lot of maintenance to sleep in them and it hurts your eyes.

My doctor recommended the Total 1 and they were comfortable, but I was still getting itchy eyes near the end of the day. I've pretty much switched to full-time glasses at this point and it's annoying (although fashionable!); I feel like I just can't see as well. If those weren't working, am I out of luck with contacts?
