Byw. Easyhangit. Break the chrome off! Frig it. Once the chrome pices are off , it comes apart. All you need to worry about is hurting your computer board. Youre never goung to use the old case again. Dont waste your 45+ minutes saving your old fob! I just did it. Total time 7 minutes. Lock . Un lock. Auto start and panic work fine. No need for lock smith. The end!
Not sure why I blindly followed this video and now I have all these broken little plastic pieces after prying off the sides. All you gotta do is pry the back from the bottom and it will pop off and you’ll see the positive side of the battery. I’m kinda mad at myself for doing it this way but I have a new silicone cover on my fob so now it looks like something new instead of beat up.
Poor example of instruction to dis-assemble key fobs...use a tri-pod and work within the frame...do the whole process step by step and not assume the viewer understands.
I mean, I didn’t really have much trouble following along. It’s simple “pry here, push here”. If you need much more than that, take it to a dealer cause DIY isn’t for you.
