    My 2018 Sur Ron Light Bee MX has the same suspension RST Killah and Fastace shock and it is garbage for any technical terrain. You have to slow down so much and it beats you up so bad. If it is realatively smooth terrain or maybe even motocross track it's ok because it's smooth.
    Also you didn't mention the biggest advantage this has over the Light Bee is that it has a gearbox instead of a belt drive for a primary drive system.

      @nxdboi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I'd go with the DNM form for sure. It has it's flaws as well, but the RST fork is terrible IMO. But you're right, the gearbox is a huge advantage too. You can change the gearing presets using the display, which is pretty awesome.

    • @nxdboi
      @nxdboi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@H4N5O1O The DNM forks are totally fine honestly. The KKE are only marginally better, by the opinion of riders I trust. But let's be honest, either way the forks are getting replaced lol. The Dorado option by Talaria is really nice, though, and you save a couple hundred bucks in the process.

    Would that need a CBT here in UK? Or can you just ride it legally out of the box with no license and paperwork?

    • @two70motorcycles
      @two70motorcycles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Michael, in its off-road form, it can only be ridden on private land, or public byways and green lanes. There will be a road legal version coming out next year where you will need at least a CBT and L plates. This will be a registered bike requiring a number plate and insurance. Road tax is free due to it having zero emissions.
      Any other questions please let me know.

    Anyone have any pedal kit ideas yet? The talaria has a pedal kit listed in their specs on ebikezilla and it looks identical to lunas first surron pedal kit. Which is a Jankey pedal kit but would make the bike more legal... the talaria has a wider swingarm tho so I wonder are these 2 pedal kits identical or will talarias be specific with a wider crank??? There's no jackshaft for the kaniwaba pedal kit to work with but if the kaniwabas match the 2 holes to mount the brackets on each side then I think the kaniwaba pedal kit would work if a double sprocket could be designed to come off the motors gearbox... one for the pedals and the one for the main chain... any ideas guys???

    • @ghettogrower5734
      @ghettogrower5734 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course it has the same stock pedal kit as the sur-ron since its built to 2 people that use to work for sur-ron but where let go or quit when segway bought in.
      It ""may"" be better though cause the 2 guys goal is to make the sur-ron they wanted to make it would be disappointing if its the same.
      The kaniwaba pedal kit may work even if its wider aslong as its only a few mm should be fine i would just add a brace with it

    • @MotoAlias
      @MotoAlias 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ghettogrower5734 thanks for at least considering what I'm saying but maybe read it again a few times or look at tye way the different pedal kits work... the kaniwaba pedal kit uses the surrons jackshaft so assuming the kaniwaba brackets would fit onto the two holes where the pegs were then the kaniwaba could work but only if a double sprocket was coming off the gearbox of the talaria, I'm not sure if the body of the talaria is wider or if the kaniwaba will be wide enough already but I do know the swingarm is wider on the talaria which is my next idea... or the luna surron pedal kit works differently by sticking a crank into the middle of the main chain... it's identical in picture for the talaria pedal kit... but my understanding is the talaria swingarm is an inch wider... so will the same luna surron pedal kit still be wide enough to work on both bikes or will the talarias pedal kit need a slightly wider crank???

    • @two70motorcycles
      @two70motorcycles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The Talaria Sting was developed partly by the team that did the Sur-Ron hence it's similarity. The main reason for the Talaria being produced is because there is no real competitor for the Sur-Ron, and currently in the UK Sur-Rons are very difficult to get hold of. The Talaria is a better bike which has fixed some of the issues with the Sur-Ron so it's the best choice for this category bike now!
