It was my first as well, got it 2 days ago and have been through about 8 battery chargers. Now to add a 370 or brushless motor, two speed gearbox, and metal axles.
@@mikeyxbl280 I got the c8809 that basically a cloned trx4m with a 370 motor in it and it’s really impressive. The c64 might keep up with it when I get everything installed?
On Allie Express you can get any of these trucks and there isn't but like $5 between them in price, like $46 for the C64, I'm looking at getting one, thanks for showing how it differs from the c24, I've had several of, they made great trucks to drive in water.
I think I paid $43 on AliExpress for it on sale, and they have the red and blue version as well. Bought the JJRC c8809 off their for $47 and it’s definitely my favorite right now, but I’ve got the c64 completely apart putting a 2 speed transmission and 370 motor, upgrade shocks, and axles in it, after all of that it will probably hang with the c8809 “trx4m clone”.
I enjoyed this very good comparison video. I bought my first RC car two months ago, it's a C24. I just bought it on impulse during a sale, thinking I'd have a little fun with it. And I've been upgrading it for over two months. I bought it for about $24, but I think I've already spent over $100 on upgrades. LOL. I sometimes wonder if I should have just bought a better car from the start, but it was fun to modify it. The problem is that it's not over yet. The shocking truth is that I wasted money by purchasing metal links and 370 motors and failing to install them. I thought the parts would be easy to replace, but I realized that it requires quite a bit of skill. Haha.
Thank you! Upgrading the truck is half the fun imo! Did you buy the threaded metal links? They are not great imo, I’ve tried them on a build before, I actually prefer the stock links. What 370 motor did you buy and what issues did you have? :)
@@RCManiacs Thanks for the reply. I bought a metal linkage with black link ends and steel bars. And I also bought a metal axle mount. And I tried for hours to install them on my c24 but failed. LOL I think it's my lack of skill. I bought a 370 motor metal gearbox but it didn't work well because the drive shaft was too far to one side when I installed it. And I wanted my car to go a little faster but I found out that this gearbox made it slower. The next motor I bought was a full metal 2 speed gearbox. This had a few problems, the biggest one was that it overheated due to the imprecise gearbox and melted the esc and wires. And the motor I finally bought was a genuine wpl 2 speed gearbox. With this I solved the gearbox+motor. I'm wasting a lot of money by my standards. LOL And I upgraded my lights and my brake lights burned out so I ordered some more leds and I'm waiting. My upgrade is still in progress. Damn. Haha. Oh! And I'm a beginner who just bought 2 RC cars. And I've been watching a lot of RC cars on TH-cam and there are a lot of RC cars that look really nice. But I think my C24 that I'm building looks the prettiest. Just like you.
Remove the steering cups and youll see a channel that the dogbone sits in, trim the channels to a taper and it will almost eliminate binding and allow you to move the steeeing link down one the servo horn and get a little more angle
I put a 370 motor into my c54 and nothing else... It's the best truck I have now. Best low speed and power. It's super easy to do also and just fits right in
@@RCManiacs the gears kept on stripping, causing the moto to spin but the wheels did not. Didn't want to try fixing so I just ordered a new gearbox and motor.
Have a look here: www.wpl-rc.com/collections/metal-upgrade?ref=rcmaniacs I would start with metal drive shafts, then gearbox/ electronics and lastly axles
Awesome little trucks indeed, dude! 😊 I have a C24 and a C14 here. But I want to upgrade them with metal parts! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
C-64 gear box sounds like It's got a bad pin/motor shaft/gear noise n trans slipping bad But no grinding noise ever just sounds like it's slipping Anyone ever have same issu on this model?
All available here: www.wpl-rc.com/?ref=rcmaniacs
Just purchased all 3 of them.🙂👍
Nice!
I just bought the c64-1, waiting for it in the mail this is my first crawler

we should’ve saved for the traxxas trx 4 instead 🤦🏻♂️

How was shipping through ali? Kinda curious about them. Heard bad and good things about the site.
@ I have great luck with shipping from them 97% of the time.
@@Im4evergrateful70 what's the usual wait time for shipping to U.S?
@ most of mine are here in 10 to 14 days.

My Man. Great Video. I Love my C24-1, It is a Beast now. Really can't wait to get the C64-1 :) Looks good
The c24 is awesome 😍 Yeah, the C64-1 is pretty good, needs some work but a solid platform
C64 front axle binds bad, but put some portals on and it's great, I run portals on all my wpls
I think it works ok, just going to keep mine stock for now :)

Ola, sou do Brasil, gostaria de fazer alguns upgrade no meu c64! Qual motor indicaria e caixa de diferencial?
question my friend ? Would the C64 body fit on the C24 ? Wheelbase i mean, i can make my own mounts.
If I wanted to build the most capable c24 how would u go abt it I love the bodies
I would go with a KM kit, use the RES V3 if you want to keep it simple. If you want to drop some more 💰, go with a 1080 or something.
I put a 370 motor into my c54 and nothing else... It's the best truck I have now. Best low speed and power. It's super easy to do also and just fits right in
Nice 👍🏼
Which 370 motor did u put in it?
Where did you get the motor from
@@obamaprism9855 any 370 Can will fit. I put a freebie cheap chinese one in mine from a broken walmart rc. Works much better now
Nice! Is the transmission of the C24 more robust or at least equal to the MN82?
I’ve never tried the MN82 or seen it IRL so I dont know tbh :)
I have c 24 and it is great crawler for 30 euro rly nice pickup
the gearbox messed up on the 5th use for my c54. ordered a new gearbox/motor and its fine now but that was weird.
That sucks :/ Did the motor burn out?
@@RCManiacs the gears kept on stripping, causing the moto to spin but the wheels did not. Didn't want to try fixing so I just ordered a new gearbox and motor.
And your verdict on c24 vs c64? Which one is better? I'm about to buy any of those.
The C64 is a bit more capable because of its superior suspension flex and drag brake but the c24 is still a solid choice if you prefer that look
Are all C series axles the same?
WPL uses the same axle on all of their models except the D6x which comes with an open diff but the axle is still the same measurements
How do I upgrade the c54
Have a look here: www.wpl-rc.com/collections/metal-upgrade?ref=rcmaniacs

The only wpl that i liked is d12 and c74 most of them are meeh and i hate their crawlers they look like monster trucks instead of scale crawlers.
If you want scale you gotta get the fms jimny. It makes the c74 look like a monster truck by comparison
