I attempted a 100 train central storage. Giant circle, 2 levels, 72 stalls laid like spokes to a wheel. Inner circle was main line to exit, outer circle was main line to enter. 4 entries and exits. It became to congested with 25 trains on the bottom level. Intersections clogged and backed up, many halting entirely. This was due to the flat rail design of the intersection. The multi level is the only way to go with any traffic at all. Don't think most people understand the level of patience and time it takes to make all this run smooth like this. Very well done. It is even more impressive having failed at it myself.
These logistics and the network and its different designs are amazing, really well done. That inspires me to do more creative designs for my train network ... I like it, keep it up

@@DEADELV1S it doesnt really matter how you setup your trains its ALOT of trail and error, and you will make alot of spagetti. 2 main things i do is ill lay the rail where i think its gonna go( looks ulgy) then ill keep working on other bits and after a while if im happy with the previous section ill rebuild it but nicely. 2nd thing is that path signal significanly reduce train travel time as the train must stop at each one. At 0:38 was that a cave or did you clip through the wall?! Personally I think clipping through the wall is genius and I'm totally up for copying that! We should be able to dig our own tunnels.
Cool build. About a year ago I used ficsit networks mod to make a lite version of LTN specifically because it pains me how much space trains and stations take up. Depending on what comes in 1.0, I may dust that project off and get it into a publishable state.
i agree about the rail signals, they seriously take away from the beauty of my network but they are super critical. i have been experimenting with some new ideas and when 1.0 comes out and i build my new world i will be using a resize mod to shrink them down to a 1/3.
It would be nice if the camera had different iterations. In vehicles, when interacting with your factory or tunnels and objects, it would be nice if it could switch or toggle to a different viewpoint. I understand that is tricky and even impractical sometimes, free movement is still preferred. But, it takes you out of the experience when in a train for example and the camera is temperamental to jankily clip jump through walls and the map.
