@@benjulc9271 I will respectively disagree. My only issue with them is they make it so easy by giving the xp share. I turned it off when I played because I thought you had to split the xp, and the game was much more enjoyable/challenging.

still playing the 3DS everyday in 2021, haven't scratched the surface of great titles! went on mario kart 7 and was so happy people all over the world at still racing!
I prefer 7 over 8. Might just be that I was burned out from years of 8 and so going back is nice. You can actually still play classic MKDS online as well

Yeah the very first game he talked about at #25 was “profesor Layton miracle Mask” however he was reading the plot of “Profesor Layton vs Ace Attorney”. It’s clear this guy didn’t do any research and was just making a video on some list he found online without caring enough to know anything about these games.

Sadly to see it fades away in the gaming industry. So far my favourite gaming system which no other gaming console yet to impress me as 3ds did. The huge games library, portability due to its pocket size and the 3D effect which still amaze me until this day whenever I have the chance to try it on the new game. Love every bit of it and I will keep it by my side for another 10 years wherever I go.

This is one of the best systems if you're a Zelda fan. I believe it's the 2nd with the most Zelda games, the 1st being the Wii U if I remember correctly You can get Via Virtual Console: -OG Zelda -Zelda II -Link to the Past -Link's Awakening DX -Both Oracles Games Via DS phisical copy: -Four Swords -Phantom Hourglass -Spirit Tracks And 3DS originals: -Ocarina of Time 3D -Majora's Mask 3D -Link between Worlds -Triforce Heroes -Hyrule Warriors Legends -Twilight Princess Picross The only ones missing are: -Windwaker -Fourswords Adventure -Twilight Princess -Skyward Sword -Breath of the Wild -Minish Cap, which isn't in the 3DS eShop but the Wii U eShop instead.
I agree 3DS and Wii U are the best two systems for Zelda junkies. Bummer they didn't port Minish Cap to a 3DS cart. Oh and don't forget the 3DS has Twilight Princess Picross. I know you weren't counting spin-offs but it's a free game with silver points so hey why not.

I've played all of them and I guarantee that a link between worlds it's the best one by far, smooth 60 fps and amazing graphics, followed by majora's mask (with the fan patch) bc of the camera controlls
god this brings me back. I remember being like 9 or 10 and my mom buying the 3ds when it came out in an actual store. I was so excited and this really gives me some nostalgia

As someone who absolutely loved the 3DS and played games on it for years, it will forever have a special place in my heart, and I'm sad to see it go. End of an era... *What a console... There may never be anything like it again...*
Sadly not. Mobile is the main niche for handheld gaming. I have optimism as some devs are finally making console quality/handheld game quality instead of being the expected gacha mobile games we mostly get
The 3DS will always have its place. The Switch is more of a small tablet. I want a portable game device the fits in my pocket. Nintendo forfeited the pocket to smartphones. Screw smartphones, they killed mobile gaming.

I HIGHLY recommend to everyone with a DS, DSLite, DSi, 2DS, 3DS, etc, to play ALL of Professor Layton games. They are by far my favorite game franchise and i know that if you give it a try you'll love em too. The characters are lovely, the game handle like a cellphone puzzle game but with an interesting story and anime cinematics. PLEASE give em a try. If a Layton game comes out for the switch then im buying the console just to play it for sure!
I still adore my 3ds and 3ds xl. I have tons of games and won't ever ever ever stop playing them or get rid of them. Even with my switch in mind... you can pry my 3ds xl out of cold dead hands.

Monster hunter series was amazing. Me and my friends would buy the games together, meet up to play together every time. It's definitely some of those button-killer games. My shoulder button died at MH4U but a fellow from the local 3ds community offered to fix it. Also, I know Streetpass isn't exactly a game but it's one of the things I really enjoyed about the 3DS
Facts, especially since the gameplay is so similar to dread which is finally coming out soon and also cause its the most dramatic remake compared to the original by far and also the oldest.

i really like the 3d screen without using glasses, i think that 3d effect is pretty good and so innovative on that era. 3DS is a very unique and irreplaceable handheld.
I’ve always regretted trading in my 3ds for a discount on the switch. Sure, I love my switch, but I never really got to dive into all these great games. Can’t wait to get my hands on another one.
Ahh this brought up lots of good memories for the console that actually got me back into console gaming. I broke out the 3ds recently to finally play Persona Q2, and that ones a blast after Playing Persona 4 and 5. Another of my personal honorable mentions to Etrean Oddesy 4 (but they’re all great if you like this style of game). Great list, thanks!
So many games are still waiting to be played! I loved LoZ:BotW on the switch. The only other zelda game ive ever played was way back nintendo DS era. Now I'm gonna start with majora's mark and A link between worlds. There are some games I have fond memories of but can no longer enjoy since i can't play with/against my friends anymore.

I was really hyped by it but when I got my hands on it I felt like it was a jack of all trades, master of none, every single mechanic felt lackluster and not deep enough
The only reason Samus Returns had such lackluster sales was due to coming out on the 3DS at the tail end of its lifespan when it should have been on the Switch instead.
Yoshi's Woolly World, Yoshi's New Island, Mario & Luigi Dream Team, Paper Jam and Superstar Saga, Paper Mario Sticker Star, Ever Oasis, Bravely Default, Code of Princess, Zelda OoT, MM, triforce heros, a link between worlds, Fantasy Life, etc.... and thats only 3DS Games. There are tons of other just DS games that are just phenomenal that even at 34 years old and having a switch and having my 3ds for years I'll never not be excited to replay again and again. I'll never ever give up my 3ds and 3ds xl.
This Game will end as a "hidden gem" on most 3DS lists. I also have it in my collection and you still can get it cheap from ebay. But it's sad, that most ppl not even know it exists...

Hey ... what exactly Ace Attorney has to do with The Miracle Mask (n.25) ? You guys wrote the wrong description for the game. The game that combines both franchises is Layton vs Phoenix Wright, not Miracle Mask.
@@arnavvanish it has been like 8 years since I played it so I don’t remember exactly how I played it but yes it is possible. I remember it being a learning curve at first but you’ll get it eventually. You may even have to use your right hand but you get used to it.

not really innovative(because 3DS did it first) but that would be great(at least imo). But most ppl didn't actually used the 3D Mode. So even if Nintendo would make a 3D Switch, most ppl put that option off. I also played most of the 3DS Games with 3D on, but because it's "not really needed", ppl ignores it. That's also why they are searching for a New 2DS XL instead of a New 3DS/XL

Currently trying to get ALL level 4+ weapons for each character. I will go back to Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate and Fantasy Life soon. I still have to collect the letters KONG in the (brutal) K levels of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. The N3DS is a great dedicated handheld, but it is still missing genre’s I like, such as a real NBA basketball game, games like Contra and Metal Slug, and side-scrolling beat em ups like Final Fight and Streets of Rage, although SoR 2 3D is available via the éShop.

my favorite underrated DS game that no one’s heard of: touch detective. it had soooo much personality and uniqueness. i loved that game and it’s sequels so much. wish it was still going. but i agree with all of this. i grew up on the OG DS back in 2005 when i was 10, and the 3DS came out when i was 17 going in to college. i bought it once i saw ocarina of time, smash bros, animal crossing and luigi’s mansion would be on there. i also grew up with two brothers and a gamecube and all 4 of those games were our faves on gamecube. this video brought back so many memories from gamecube to DS to 3DS to the switch today. when New Horizons came out,i played on there with friends i made on an animal crossing forum wayyy back in 2008, when i was 13. i was playing in 2020 with internet friends i met on Wild World over a decade ago. so crazy.

Booted my 3DS again after 3 years. Of course, I'm replaying Metal Gear Solid 3D. MH4U was amazing, especially when you're playing with your friends. It's what broke my shoulder buttons, though. Good times!
I think they should start selling them again, like a cheaper, a little worse cheaper version of the Nintendo switch (oh and by the way if you don’t have a 3DS or can’t afford one, there is a very good free emulator called Citra, I am currently using it it is awesome, for more info just search a TH-cam tutorial)
@@jandcstopmotion7774 i think ppl forget what it means if something is "impressive". On 3DS it's actually one of the best looking Games and also runs well. And it was that great, that they made all the remastered versions for other consoles. Sure, if you want to play it today, you would not choose the 3DS Version, but compare other 3DS Games visualy with this one, it stays on the top. Same goes for Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. On 3DS it looks impressive, even if a Wii U and Switch Version exists. Also ppl like to play Yoshi's Woolly World on 3DS, even if there's a better looking Wii U Game.
The 3DS is still my go-to system. I have an original 2DS and a New3DSXL, with an aftermarket ergonomic grip installed. I have 120 games on it, and all of them are fun. Tbh one of the most defining aspects for me is the expanse of the 3DS’s entire library (over 1k 3DS games + 2.1k DS games + Virtual Console titles). My favorite games ever made are on the system. IMHO Ocarina of Time is the greatest game of all time so it absolutely deserves the top spot, even if it's still just a remaster. However, I don't think Majora's Mask has aged all that well over the years so my #2 would have to be Link Between
Fire Emblem: Echoes - Shadows of Valentia was my favourite Fire Emblem and 3DS game of all time. Awakening was amazing but Echoes improved upon everything, IMO.

Nice list, although I’m neither a Zelda nor JRPG fan, yet there are still a ton of greats here. I’d have Luigis Mansion in my top 3, along with Steam World Heist, and maybe Shovel Knight.
I have all of these games, plus around 100 more, mostly physical copies, so that should keep me going for a few years! They look pretty amazing on my dual IPS screen New 3ds XL😁
The only reason I won’t buy maj mask is like pikmin 1 there’s a count down timer to play which I don’t like playing rushed. It’s a shame streets of rage 2 not online.
Great list. One thing that did bug me though: I dont think remakes like sonic 2 or streets of rage should be on this list. Dont get me wrong, i love both of those games, but theyre just rereleases of old games. Just my opinion. I would prefer a list of just exclusives

I'm really sad they didn't ported Minish Cap, too. Specially seeing how they basically pushed everything Wii U into 3DS and Switch due to how bad the Wii U sold
I've played all of them and I guarantee that a link between worlds it's the best one by far, smooth 60 fps and amazing graphics, followed by majora's mask (with the fan patch) bc of the camera controlls

Sadly not. Mobile is the main niche for handheld gaming. I have optimism as some devs are finally making console quality/handheld game quality instead of being the expected gacha mobile games we mostly get
The 3DS will always have its place. The Switch is more of a small tablet. I want a portable game device the fits in my pocket. Nintendo forfeited the pocket to smartphones. Screw smartphones, they killed mobile gaming.

I HIGHLY recommend to everyone with a DS, DSLite, DSi, 2DS, 3DS, etc, to play ALL of Professor Layton games. They are by far my favorite game franchise and i know that if you give it a try you'll love em too. The characters are lovely, the game handle like a cellphone puzzle game but with an interesting story and anime cinematics. PLEASE give em a try. If a Layton game comes out for the switch then im buying the console just to play it for sure!

Monster hunter series was amazing. Me and my friends would buy the games together, meet up to play together every time. It's definitely some of those button-killer games. My shoulder button died at MH4U but a fellow from the local 3ds community offered to fix it.
Also, I know Streetpass isn't exactly a game but it's one of the things I really enjoyed about the 3DS

Ahh this brought up lots of good memories for the console that actually got me back into console gaming. I broke out the 3ds recently to finally play Persona Q2, and that ones a blast after Playing Persona 4 and 5. Another of my personal honorable mentions to Etrean Oddesy 4 (but they’re all great if you like this style of game). Great list, thanks!

There are tons of other just DS games that are just phenomenal that even at 34 years old and having a switch and having my 3ds for years I'll never not be excited to replay again and again. @@arnavvanish it has been like 8 years since I played it so I don’t remember exactly how I played it but yes it is possible. I remember it being a learning curve at first but you’ll get it eventually. You may even have to use your right hand but you get used to it.

Just imagine a switch pro coming with a 3D feature without needing glasses. That would be truly innovative
not really innovative(because 3DS did it first) but that would be great(at least imo). But most ppl didn't actually used the 3D Mode. So even if Nintendo would make a 3D Switch, most ppl put that option off.
I also played most of the 3DS Games with 3D on, but because it's "not really needed", ppl ignores it. That's also why they are searching for a New 2DS XL instead of a New 3DS/XL
I doubt theyll do it. If they did that, youll only be able to play 3d in handheld mode and not while the sysytem is docked.

Currently trying to get ALL level 4+ weapons for each character. I will go back to Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate and Fantasy Life soon. I still have to collect the letters KONG in the (brutal) K levels of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.
The N3DS is a great dedicated handheld, but it is still missing genre’s I like, such as a real NBA basketball game, games like Contra and Metal Slug, and side-scrolling beat em ups like Final Fight and Streets of Rage, although SoR 2 3D is available via the éShop.
Why is Omega Ruby higher than Alpha Sapphire? Shouldn't they be the same?

my favorite underrated DS game that no one’s heard of: touch detective. it had soooo much personality and uniqueness. i loved that game and it’s sequels so much. wish it was still going.
but i agree with all of this. i grew up on the OG DS back in 2005 when i was 10, and the 3DS came out when i was 17 going in to college. i bought it once i saw ocarina of time, smash bros, animal crossing and luigi’s mansion would be on there. i also grew up with two brothers and a gamecube and all 4 of those games were our faves on gamecube.
this video brought back so many memories from gamecube to DS to 3DS to the switch today. when New Horizons came out,i played on there with friends i made on an animal crossing forum wayyy back in 2008, when i was 13. i was playing in 2020 with internet friends i met on Wild World over a decade ago. so crazy.

Booted my 3DS again after 3 years. Of course, I'm replaying Metal Gear Solid 3D. MH4U was amazing, especially when you're playing with your friends. It's what broke my shoulder buttons, though. Good times!

I think they should start selling them again, like a cheaper, a little worse cheaper version of the Nintendo switch (oh and by the way if you don’t have a 3DS or can’t afford one, there is a very good free emulator called Citra, I am currently using it it is awesome, for more info just search a TH-cam tutorial)

Rythm Heaven Mega Mix, Kingdom Hearts 3D and Resident Evil Revelations are great games as well.
Revelations has a superior version on pc, switch and ps4

@@jandcstopmotion7774 i think ppl forget what it means if something is "impressive". On 3DS it's actually one of the best looking Games and also runs well. And it was that great, that they made all the remastered versions for other consoles. Sure, if you want to play it today, you would not choose the 3DS Version, but compare other 3DS Games visualy with this one, it stays on the top.
Same goes for Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. On 3DS it looks impressive, even if a Wii U and Switch Version exists. Also ppl like to play Yoshi's Woolly World on 3DS, even if there's a better looking Wii U Game.
My new 3ds XL is arriving this week hopefully. Cant waif to play all of theses especially Zelda games and ACNL
The 3DS is still my go-to system. I have an original 2DS and a New3DSXL, with an aftermarket ergonomic grip installed. I have 120 games on it, and all of them are fun.

IMHO Ocarina of Time is the greatest game of all time so it absolutely deserves the top spot, even if it's still just a remaster. However, I don't think Majora's Mask has aged all that well over the years so my #2 would have to be Link Between
Fire Emblem: Echoes - Shadows of Valentia was my favourite Fire Emblem and 3DS game of all time. Awakening was amazing but Echoes improved upon everything, IMO.

Nice list, although I’m neither a Zelda nor JRPG fan, yet there are still a ton of greats here.
I’d have Luigis Mansion in my top 3, along with Steam World Heist, and maybe Shovel Knight.
I have all of these games, plus around 100 more, mostly physical copies, so that should keep me going for a few years! They look pretty amazing on my dual IPS screen New 3ds XL😁
The only reason I won’t buy maj mask is like pikmin 1 there’s a count down timer to play which I don’t like playing rushed.
It’s a shame streets of rage 2 not online.

Great list. One thing that did bug me though: I dont think remakes like sonic 2 or streets of rage should be on this list. Dont get me wrong, i love both of those games, but theyre just rereleases of old games. Just my opinion. I would prefer a list of just exclusives
