- Hi Everyone! This week we mounted the Rover P5 on the rotisserie to get ready for the structural restoration, and work continues on the Winter Beater Renault LeCar! A special Episode of "Light Buzz" sees us attempt to fix a washer pump, and "My Classic Darts" features some more thought-provoking editorials and fantastic gifts! Agent 100013 gives us the tour of the classic boogie van he just rescued, and we catch up with progress on the Econoline we painted last month!

Classic Darts is a public service that is underappreciated. I had the kids watch it over and over. Believe you me, they are scared straight now! They won't risk sliding into the life of a fried, burned out, car crazed rustofarian.
I quit smoking this spring but "Classic Darts" always makes me laugh... then cry a little...then go to a very dark place...sorry.... love the show..
I think the Surgeon General should state that watching Classic Darts is hazardous to your health!🤣🤣
Dad bought a base model Chevy van in 79, and he and I made it a conversion. Sculpted blue shag carpeting, white paneling, captain's chairs, a table and mini fridge... great memories! Great find on the Tradesman and that boogie van is sweet!

Hi Scott, Frankers and the CWMC crew. Ashley's van is so cool. The Molly Hatchet van is too. I saw Molly Hatchet live, back in 1979. The Rover, rolled over, nice. The classic dart collection is growing, and quite impressive. Nice job on the washer pump. Le Car is better than showroom condition!

I have to say that mural on the van needs to be preserved its fawking awesome....nice work in light buzz and of course my favorite classic darts. Boogie van has to win every award at car shows for paint. Oh my that screw driver had me laughing...such a good show thank you makes my week.

cars are like stone soup: once you have a project going, people keep coming by and giving you stuff they had stashed somewhere. Friends are nice to have. the ones who give a crap are a true_ blessing :)

As for the 72 Fury: for me it took 50 years for the fuselage to become relevant. But that time has now come… I love them. A 69 Sport Suburban is now in my top five. Cheers from Alabama.
I had a New 1977 Dodge street van. It was Crap from new. Wouldn't start most of the time. Hit a deer on the way to work one day in october 1979. Bumper, grill, rad, fender flairs all wiped out. Boogie van looks amazing.
I remember the name of the boogie van that our neighbor had parked out in front of his place back in the '70s: Afternoon Delight. Nothing subtle about that... :)

You need to remove the caliper seals and then clean the aluminum corrosion from the bottom of the groove the seal sits in. The corrosion over time builds up and pushes the seal tight against the piston and that is why you can't push the piston in by hand. I have done hundreds of seized motorcycle calipers that are the exact same design. I have even made a video about the process. 👍👍

Both the Boogie vans on this episode make me want one.
That Dodge van was in remarkable condition for its age. Reminds me of back in the 70's when conversion vans was the big thing. The local Dodge dealer always had a couple conversions on display you could buy but most people would buy a stock Tradesman and have it sent to a conversion company to be customized to their tastes some with waterbeds in them even.

I’d really love to see a resurgence of the custom van craze like in the 1970’s. I remember those days very well and my friend’s Dad had Dodge tradesman 200 named the “moonshine runner”. Such a beautiful custom van! Those were the days!

I'm LMAO when Scott looks at the back of Kyle's van and reads, "Death is Certain - Life is Not", then says, "Wow, that has never been more appropriate, eh". What a great under statement, thanks. Classic Darts video reminds me of the 60s and 70s when bars, diners and cafes were packed with smoke, it didn't brother me that others smoked, it was part of the atmosphere and I enjoyed it.

I watched this last night. When I seen the butts in the screwdriver I immediately thought of the Twilight Zone episode "The Jar" starring Pat Buttram who later went on to Green Acres as Mr. Haney. You guys crack me up.
As a kid I had a yellow R5 by matchbox, always wanted a real one! I miss how individual those little cars used to be

True, it was a very unmistakable design. But paradoxically, in pioneering huge plastic bumpers it was a large step to where we are now!

@@paulbennell3313 Yes, it was all first-rate small car design: functional, with every single piece serving multiple purposes where possible, and economical to put together. A good small car is a real exercise in production engineering, it’s not much cheaper on an industrial scale to make a small car than a bigger one, but there is a much smaller profit margin in it. So it takes brains to make something that is smart, and when someone comes up with a good idea for that, the competition will follow, because they’re all in the same trouble.

Hay guys I enjoyed seeing the "THE LOOP " sticker in the treasures !!! I lived in the windy city 1977 to 1981 and "THE LOOP" and Steve Dahl in the morning was the station to tune in .Steve Dahl pulled off some great stunts like dropping live turkeys out of a helicopter on thanksgiving not knowing they couldn't fly !!! Rust falling out of the rocker reminded me of when a friend got the front bumper of his rusted 76 Dodge Aspen wagon stuck into the wheel well of a Port Authority bus, when pulling out onto the street. He got dragged a good 50 feet up the hill, before perfectly breaking away at an intersection and taking off. His plan was to drive 50 feet up the hill in the parking lane and turn onto that street anyway, but he forgot that he had his wheels turned out toward the street. A friend who witnessed this charade in the local business section was laughing about how the Aspen left giant rust piles on the street, due to the shaking action.
The Renault is looking better and better every week. Can't wait for the work on the Rover to start. Take care guys and stay safe.

The Death Dealer van is the most 70s thing I've seen this week, and this is the week I watched King of the Mountain (1981), so that's saying something.
Boogie Van plus old dirt bikes spells lots of fun. Hopefully we see this coming spring/summer!
Watched the first half Saturday night and went to bed. Woke up Sunday and watched second half with Sunday coffee. I'm so disappointed in myself as i missed the make your own screwdriver from cigarette butts section. Oh well it made for great coffee. 😎
