    I am a premier member on United, and I really wish that people would rally together and get them to upgrade food. i was trying to be patient because of covid, but it is time. Thanks for reminder etc!

    Always fly Asiana on this route. This way you get better food on the plane while still earning United miles and having access to the Polaris lounge. But that ice cream sundae is hard to beat though for a dessert. It all depends on the seat as to what constitutes a necessity for a 3 point sash seatbelt

      Thank you so much. Yes I want to try Asiana next time. I really like Korean Air when I flew it in 2020 to Korea

    There are SO MANY unfavorable comments about the in-flight meals on Polaris on many United flight reviews on TH-cam, yet United appears to ignore rather than make any improvements. Truly less than mediocre presentation. You nailed it when you described the meals as “cafeteria” level. Nice video though.

    How long did they darken the cabin with the tinted windows for? And did any passengers self re-light their window at all? Ive heard some passenegers do that without regards to the other passengers. And also how effective at simulating nighttime did you find it?

    Excellent video ma'am! I enjoyed every detail of your experience on the UAL flight to ICN. I am in 100% agreement with every aspect that UAL failed. It is very frustrating for customers who fork out an arm & a leg to fly UAL on Business Class. There are far more superior international airlines who offer above & beyond services from the pre-boarding experience to pre-departure experience, inflight service and actual comfort level in the seat itself. It is very disappointing how UAL does not offer complimentary pajamas just because their policy is that it is meant for flights over 12 hours but even if your flight may be 11 hrs and 40 min, they won't extend the pajamas to their customers. I am saddened that you didn't enjoy your meals and UAL certainly missed the mark in food selections, offerings, and presentation...usually the UAL ice cream sundae cart is their trademark service but it looks like they cheapened out on that service. Turkish adds a touch of class with their mood-lighting candles but for UA, we have silly globe S&P shakers and that's it! I have a feeling that UAL FAs don't give a lick in terms of service to its customers. In all Asian airlines, the FA's frequently check the lavatories and ensure they are kept tidy and clean - not on UAL, not on DAL and not on AA! I enjoyed your skincare routine review for your flight, a very nice bonus that has your video review stand out among all the flight reviews that are out there. Interesting part about the Saxs bedding, there was a bunch of military personnel who upgraded themselves on a flight to Guam from Honolulu and boy every single airmen had that Sax blanket under their arms as they disembarked...was hilarious but no FA said anything. LoL. What are your impressions on the Dreamliner 787 dimmable windows? I was told that they are annoying in broad daylight because they don't get fully dark and becomes rather hot to the touch. I also hear that Airbus included dimmable windows on their A350s but those windows can dim to block out 100% of the light. OMG you walked barefoot into the lavatory! Heavens no! You broke one of the jet setter rules! I hope you used one of those sanitation wipes to wipe off your feet...eeek, glad the floor was not wet coz it's most likely not water. LOL!

      Lol I know I forgot my slippers and as I was walking down I just went with it and then I felt stupid when I realized I was going to film my feet and that looked really gross but I just keep it real:) I’m glad you enjoyed the skincare section I try to do these on longer flights. I agree that United and American are the worst carriers in the world right now Turkish and emirates have been my favorite and then air Tahiti I thought did a nice job. The food Turkish is still my favorite and I love the little candles and that the chef comes out in his whites. It’s the experience and they do it so well!

    • @SpaandTell
      @SpaandTell  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as the dimmable windows they can be annoying bc they are super slow, so you think they are not working. I’ve not noticed them to be hot or not get dark. They become like a dark purple but with everything else off I never noticed the light being an issue and I’m a person who needs it really dark to sleep:)

    I will be flying Polaris in July,from MCO/IAD/CDG with a 4:20 minute layover at IAD..My plan is to eat at the a la cart restaurant at the Polaris lounge before my flight,just in case i don't like the food served on the plane..and have a shower also..The lounge used at CDG is also very good i read...and also have access at Polaris on my return,but just a 2:20 minute layover...Also never been to the United lounge at MCO,i have been to The Club a few times used by many airlines and not fond of it..

    I have complained numerous times about Polaris food. My last flights I couldn't eat it, it was so bad. Even meatloaf and mashed potatoes with green beans would be better. Their salads are a joke. When Polaris started, meal service was great. And the sundaes were the best, adding any toppings you wanted. They must be putting all their money into new planes. However, it doesn't cost much to make a tasty meal. laughed when I got the email from United CEO last week saying how great 2023 was going to be. When flying internationally, always book a foreign airline when possible. Thanks for the video.

    It would be helpful in determining flights and seats if someone would fly in the center section of Polaris business rather than the special window location. For example: does the center divider retract? Do both sides control it ?. Is the straight on seat preferable to the angled ones ?

    I always eat in the lounge, take some nuts and biltong and if all else fails practice intermittent fasting; thirteen years as long haul cabin crew has put me off airline food forever.

    I gave you a like however you must know that United Airlines does not compete with foreign carriers first of business classes. Always fly high premium other international flights unless your having to pay for it and then US carriers are cheaper. You pay for what you get.

    • @SpaandTell
      @SpaandTell  ปีที่แล้ว

      Friend, this is not my first international biz ticket, and I have many other videos on international biz flights. I know US carriers are horrible, but you need to take some carriers for a certain flight path. I would have preferred to fly Korean Air, which is superior, but this was the better flight plan with our schedule. Believe me I avoid American, Delta, and United as often as possible. That doesn't mean, however, that I wont make a video on the experience explaining why its horrible. And BTW, this was not a "CHEAP TICKET," lol. I bet you don't even pay cash for yours. I pay cash for every one of my flights personally. No tech company or points flying me anywhere. HAHA, so if i want to judge the service, I will.

    thank for your report I always say if you want service you should fly foreign carriers unfortunately US carriers are so behind when it comes to service I mean look at the food look at the menu card its just piece of paper I mean nothing fancy also I just want to tell you something dont use soooooooooo much product on your skin because sometimes your skin shines I mean there is nothing bad about shiny skin but thats not natural maybe you like it I dont know but you look better if you look natural Its just my opinion you look fine just relax and show us more detail about airlines lol :)

      @@SpaandTell okey now make sense lol I was thinking why she is using so much skin care product lolol because your skin is fine but one more suggestion because I often travel and I have facebook page for my trip reports if you like I can share now remember this whenever you are not happy with the service complain to the flight manager (purser) because they need to report issues and also officially complain because sometimes they give you voucher and miles that you can travel however that depends on situation if they upgrade you for free you cant complain lol but if you paid full price you can do that I always talk with the purser because the meal that they served you its embarrassing that's not business class that's supermarket food.
