From 87-98 he finished 8th place or better in dpoy while finishing 3rd or better in mvp while also leading the league in scoring. Only season he didn’t complete was 95 & we know he didn’t play the full season. So I’m more than confident that he would’ve done the same for 94 & 95 had he not retired. Look all the negative things ppl wanna say about MJ are things that happen all the time around the world.
Yes he could've smacked, yelled and put them in check. There's always an 'alpha' in any
group/team. And its not just in the human species but all 'PRimates' especially chimps and bonobos. Jordan as the leader was doing everything he can to get the best from his teammates. MJ didn't just win those 6 championship 🏆 they all did. If MJ just let them do whatever they wanted with no discipline and rules and hardwork they'd no trophy. MJ was giving them toughlove and it worked. Nowadays some teammates from of MJ old bulls team understand MJ rules and treatments when looking back now. They needed it because they would go party evey city they'd go to. Drink, meet girls, stay up then come to practice drunk or with a hangover.
When it comes to his gambling it's BS. When you have the $$$ to gamble and and its not effecting your life and the ppl you love is not a problem. When you're gambling away the money that's for rent, diapers, bills, etc then yes you got a problem. But for MJ it's nothing so I wish ppl would just stop with the whole gambling crap.
BTW this is just my personal view/opinion so I hope no one iss offended by it.❤😊🎉

Haha I’m also from Cleveland and one of my earliest memories, maybe my earliest TBH, is I was watching the Cavs game w my dad and (7yrs elder) brother and it happened to be vs MJ and the Bulls. At that point in my life Michael Jordan was like the only “sports person” I ever heard of since, of course, he was literally EVERYWHERE in the 90s.
Anyway so MJ scores, and I naively yell “yeah!” which got me into some trouble as we were a loyal CLE sports family. It was then made very clear to me by both my dad and brother that we NEVER root against the Cavs under any circumstances. And after that, I never did. To my dad’s credit, he did say I could cheer for MJ, but just never when he was playing the Cavs. Which helped clear things up bc the other stupid but funny thing was the room I shared with my brother had a large laminated poster of MJ dunking from the foul line as the centerpiece haha. Which really just goes to show how universally beloved Jordan truly was

4-6 WITH SUPER TEAMS and benefited from an NBA that changed the rules to favor more offense.
MJ played in the triangle and anyone who knows how it works doesn’t make arguments for “assists”. That is predicted on how well your teammates are and how well they can shoot. Overrated stat in most cases.
Rebounds? He played in a specialized NBA where people actually played their 1 through 5 position roles. But sure even if James ends up being better there, that’s not the seal for LBJ being the GOAT.
Steals??? Oooooh we never talk about steaks. I wonder why? That’s because MJ is 3rd all time and has close to 400 more than LBJ in a shorter career span.
